Quick read. Not sure why but didn't enjoy this one as much as the first two. Just seemed a little rushed and no real storyline.

A sweet steamy romantic happily ever after novella with great characters, a good page turner also easy to read.
A nurse that is supposed to be off her shift is told that she needs to do one more job by a head nurse. When she goes to the room that the head nurse gives her, a man is in there with a knife wound, as soon as their eyes meet either one of them can barely look away but when the doctor comes in she does her job.
The next day she’s in line at a coffee shop to get her coffee when the guy in front of her keeps stepping on her feet, they have a heated discussion when the guy looks behind her scared when the man walks off she looks behind her to see the patient from the other night standing there. She orders her coffee and after she gets it she walks out the door but then she decides to wait for the man. She looked up his information when she was able to have a moment to do so. The patient also looked her up as well. The patient comes out and they start talking, they walk together towards the hospital when they get there they go to the private spot close to the hospital and kiss, they talk a moment longer before he leaves her so she can get to work.
The patient, who also is the owner of a security company, he’s walking out of the gym that he has in the building for the men he employs to train in. He stops when he finally notices the nurse, they go to his office and they talk for a moment before he puts her on his desk to give her oral sex during the oral sex they get a bit too vocal and when they go to have pizza with his men one of the men comment about it. The owner gets irritated when the men and he decides to take her home. She looks tired so he tells her to go and get some rest and he will see her soon.
The next time they meet she goes to his business again before he takes her home he takes a shower. They go to her place and he gives her oral sex before they go to her bedroom and he tries to go slow since she’s a virgin while having sex. After the sex she falls asleep.
She gets to work the next day and the head nurse jumps her and another nurse about talking to one another. The head nurse orders them around, the nurse goes to the room that she was told to go to when she notices the the patient is her patient from before, they talk and the hug and kiss before she goes to lock the door, she goes in front of him going to her knees and gives him oral sex but then there’s a knock on the door and when the nurse opens it it’s the head nurse jumping at her but the patient talks to the head nurse. The nurse takes out his sutures and before he goes they make arrangements about going out to eat and they kiss. After he leaves she goes about doing the rest of her work, she is changing out of her uniform when the head nurse comes to her telling her about a photo of her and the patient.
The patient/ business owner waits for the nurse at the restaurant but she never shows up which makes him worried especially when she does answer his call, he goes to her place and finds her there, they talk and he starts getting a little upset until he notices that she has been crying. She tries to close the door on him but he won’t let her, he finds out about the head nurse and what she’s doing to her. They talk more before she goes to clean up, he goes out of the apartment to make a call getting his hacker to erase the photo of them and to find information on the head nurse to get her out of the city. They tell each other that they love one another.
Six years later and it’s their five year anniversary they are supposed to be at the resort but they're at his business, she’s worried about leaving their son with the men who work for him. The head nurse at the hospital left and ever since then everything improved, the nurse got the head nurse position when she got promoted. They talk and they make their way to his office where they start kissing and he winds up having sex with her against the wall in his office. They tell each other happy anniversary.

Big Bold Security is a steamy 90 minute insta-love romance. This is my first read by Cassi Hart and from what I understand she specializes in these quick little romances. In a short time, Hart is able to build some strong characters with nuanced personalities. The insta-chemistry was believable because I've personally had moments of sudden strong attraction before. Where the story stumbles for me is how quickly the attraction is turned to action when the FMC has never been touched before. I am sure this is a problem more with my stubborn realistic brain than with the writing itself.
I really enjoyed the writing style. Hart can build such a clear world in so few pages its impressive. You can easily see distinct traits to key characters, and she even had a sweet little epilogue that delivers a HEA in the future. The steam level in this book I would put at a two or three.
For me this book is a solid 3/3.5. What there is of of the story is great, but it left me wanting so much more. I want to know the characters more, what's their back story, who are their friends, what are their interpersonal relationships like. At the same time I wondered how the FMC could be considered feisty when she took the abuse of her employer and allowed her to work her past her scheduled hours (maybe this is a US thing with our employment laws). I may just be a little too pragmatic to be the right kind of reader for the insta/short story romance. When I find a writer I like, I'm greedy and want more. If you're looking for a quick read with a bit of steam then I'd recommend this story.

Scarlett and Maverick
Loved this! Maverick and Scarlett have explosive chemistry almost immediately. Such a great story! What they did in that hospital room during his second visit, probably would get you fired because it’s so inappropriate and over the top. Crazy! Loved the characters: Maverick was just awesome, you know big burly bruiser with a big tender heart making me swoon, and Scarlett’s feisty sarcasm was a welcome addition to her already quirky persona, making me laugh out loud! Great chemistry! Great story!
As a retired 30 year critical care R.N. (retired), I know (not personally) that you usually get three chances before they can fire you or take your R.N. license (unless it involves stealing drugs from the hospital or patient, or using drugs while on duty, which carry even heavier penalties like going to jail). I’ve seen nurses who give sexual favors to doctors in the hospital stairwell get “let go“ but are still able to get a job in another town. The nurse in question spoke aloud at a meeting at her new job in a new town about a doctor at her last job so much that I knew exactly who she was and who the doctor was. I knew that that doctor never got in any apparent trouble for the incident. (I worked at both hospitals in both towns and this girl was so dumb that when she got a new job in a new town, she gave herself away to everyone that had heard all the rumors). I guess they can’t take away your license for stupidity. Guess she really believed that doctor would leave his wife and marry her. Poor kid, how she ever passed nursing school is beyond my comprehension.
[The incident happened @28 years ago. No names of people, towns, states, or hospitals given. My license expired 2 years after I retired. js]

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Scarlett was on her way out the door after another grueling day as a nurse in the A&E department when Meredith the head nurse forces her to see one more patient. Meeting her patient Maverick changes here life in ways that she had never even thought possible, her reaction to him is something that she has never experienced before especially for a patient with a nasty looking knife wound but despite her attraction, she manages to stitch him up and send him on his way but not without sharing a moment. Walking out of the room away from him she never expects to see him again, how will she react when they meet again, could them being together destroy her career and is she willing to sacrifice all she has worked for, for love?
Maverick had just expected to get a tetanus jab and be out of the hospital within a few minutes but when a nurse walks into the room looking like everything that he never knew that he wanted demanding to stitch him up he finds himself giving in, just wanting to spend a few more minutes in her orbit, just when things were getting interesting they are interrupted and he is forced to watch her walk away. It its then that he knows that they were meant to be and even if they aren’t there is no way that he is letting her get away. Can he convince Scarlett to cross that line and give in to what they are both feeling?
Not as addictive as the previous books but an enjoyable quick read that left me looking forward to the next book in the series. I cannot recommend her books more than I already do. 4* read.

Big Bold Security is another great addition to Cassi Hart's Big Alpha's Series. The men are smoking hot and alpha protective of their women. When the ladies fall for their men they fall hard and nothing else matters. This book follows suit with the previous two and I can't say that I liked on more than the other. I sure hope Cassi plans on adding more books to this series.

It started fine but as per the usual trope the fmc loses her mind when she sees mmc and whatever intelligence she had goes out the window with her sudden need to just hand herself over on a silver plater. And they are always, ALWAYS f'en virgins! Why?? I just... I can't read these things anymore without rolling my eyes.
I mean I get it, when I was younger and I saw a really good looking guy or whatever I'd be nervous and what not to, usually ending with me being super quiet and uncomfortable but I would never throw myself at them or go out of my way to change my clothes, or whatever to impress them.
The worst thing is that these characters in this series are so interchangeable because it's all the same copy pasted crap with a few things different. All 3 women are virgins, all 3 men are double their age, big and tattooed. All 3 women doll themselves up, always in some stupid sundress. Where are the yoga and hoodie girlies? I'd even settle for jeans and a t-shirt. Does no one want to read a book where the guy likes the girl for who they are without having to try hard?

I really liked this short instalove story. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. The characters were interesting and likable with an exception. Meredith was lame and a control freak. It would have been nice to know what happened to her. Scarlett was a nurse. She met Maverick when she took care of his injury. They were instantly attracted to each other. Scarlett knew a relationship with Maverick was risky, but felt he was worth it. Maverick knew that he wanted to keep Scarlett but wasn't sure about how she felt. Maverick was protective of Scarlett. I liked how Maverick wanted to take care of Scarlett. I liked their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

My favorite hot, steamy and short book writing author, Cassi Hart, is amazing. You will love her books. Can't wait to read more from her.

So when she's given a file to take care of a patient and she walks into the room, she can't help but know what she wants immediately, the hot, sexy, older man in front of her. Maverick is a big ole security/bodyguard. When he is injured with a knife would, he ends up being Scarlett’s patient. Scarlett does an amazing job of embarrassing herself. They are definitely attracted to each other and the chemistry is there. There are, however, a couple of problems. Scarlett’s supervisor is a horrid, mean person who will do whatever it takes to make Scarlett miserable and it is inappropriate for a nurse to be romantically involved with her patient.
I loved reading g this book! Scarlett’s ability to make me laugh out loud is priceless! This author did an incredible job of showing me who the character really are. This is a book you will enjoy reading.

Big Bold Security is the third in the Big Alpha series by Cassi Hart. It is a short, super-steamy age-gap romance. Scarlett is a young nurse. Maverick is an older ex-military man who now owns his own security company. They meet when Scarlett needs to stitch up an injury for him at the hospital. Both are instantly attracted to each other but go separate ways. They end up running into each other the next day and act on their insane chemistry. Scarlett does worry she shouldn't act on feelings for one of her patients, but pull is too strong. Will love conquer all? Cassi is the queen of short, super-steamy OTT (over the top) romance reads, and this one does not disappoint. Loved it as usual!!.

This fun, sweet, and steamy over-the-top instalove romance novella was SO good! Maverick Coleman is a security specialist and Scarlett Adams is an overworked nurse. Maverick needs a wound cleaned and sutured, and as fate would have it, Scarlett is his nurse. There is an instant connection that readers can feel as they read. Maverick is double her age but neither care. He is going to fight for this beautiful girl. Maverick was sort of an initial grump, but it was cute.

Maverick ends up in the ER needing stitches for a shoulder wound. Scarlett just so happens to be the nurse on duty. When she walks in and sees the shirtless man, she is speechless. The instant attraction can't be denied.
Maverick is drawn to the nurse, even if she is much younger than he is. He hasn't felt this strongly for anyone and when Scarlett lets him know she is all in, he goes for it.
When Scarlett's biggest fear of being caught with a patient comes true? Will she lose Maverick or lose her job?
Good storyline but abruptly ends and jumps to the epilogue. I know these are meant to be short stories just need a bit more details sometimes.

Good storyline but abruptly ends and jumps to the epilogue. I know these are meant to be short stories just need a bit more details sometimes.

Scarlett thought she would love being a nurse but then she discovered the head nurse in the ER is the worst boss ever and has it in for her. One day after working an 16 hour shift, her boss made her treat one more patient before leaving even though there were other nurses to do it. Scarlett goes into the room to discover a big sexy man with a knife cut on his arm. She treats him even though he just asks for a tetanus shot. Sparks fly between the two. Maverick is a security company owner who decides that Scarlett needs to be his.

This is a short insta-love story. I don't know what is bothering me about this story. The writing is good. The characters are ok. The storyline was alright. I guess, for me, everything felt surface. I feel like I never dipped below the shallow top layer of these people. I would have liked a little more to the resolution of Meredith, maybe a confrontation? I don't know. The sexy scenes are hot enough. Over all, for me, this book was just ok. It could just be my mood so I would give it 3 1/2 stars..can't give half stars so I will round up to 4.

Big Bold Security is another classic Cassi Hart insta-love that will leave you wanting more! I cannot say enough how much I enjoy this author’s quick and sexy stories. These two characters have instant chemistry that is undeniable. The hero is sexy, the heroine even sexier, and their love story is swoon-worthy! I love a bold and brilliant woman, and I love that the author matched her with a man who understands and appreciates those traits. We should all be so lucky!.

This was a short yet hot and steamy book. I really enjoyed Maverick and Scarlett together. Maverick knows that Scarlett is meant to be his as soon as he sees her and he won't let her get away. Scarlett knows that she should flirt with a patient but she can't help but be drawn to Maverick. There is a little bit of drama with Scarlett's coworker but nothing will ever stand in Maverick way of his woman. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to more from Cassi soon.

This was a fun OTT romance between security specialist, Maverick, and overworked nurse, Scarlett. She walked into his hospital room to treat him, after a 16 hour day, and felt an instant connection to him. Maverick, although quite gruff to begin with, knew she was IT for him ;D There was a little work drama in this age gap romance, but otherwise, it's a lighthearted and sweet read with some steam. I enjoyed following these two along to their HEA and look forward to the next book to come out :D

I might've given this 4 maybe even 5 stars if the author would've given us a scene where the FMC finally gets to tell off her boss for the way she was being treated and overworked.
I guess I've just read so many books where the authos say the FMC is sassy that I associate that now with a character who doesn't let anyone walk all over them...so I felt like that was a wrong description for her.
This is the perfectly short forbidden romance that will give that quick dose of HEA that you may be looking for.

Tolle Protagonisten, die authentisch beschrieben sind, man kann sich in beide sehr gut hineinversetzen und ihre Handlungen sind klar nachvollziehbar.
Das Setting ist sehr anschaulich beschrieben, man hat sofort alles vor Augen beim Lesen.
Die Autorin schafft es einen sofort abzuholen und in eine Story einzutauchen, die es unmöglich macht, das Buch auch nur kurz aus der Hand zu legen.
Worum es in der Story geht, steht im Klappentext und mehr will ich auch nicht verraten.
Eine ganz klare Kauf-Leseempfehlung.

I absolutely love the newest book in the Big Alphas series. Scarlett is a nurse who is being bullied by her supervisor. She forces her to take another patient, and that's when she meets Maverick. He's injured, and she has never felt drawn to a patient like she is to him. I love how he will always protect her and how these two get the perfect ending. It's always an incredible read from this amazing author.

This was a cute age gap romance. It was a short story and most of it had a good pace but there were places that felt a bit rushed. I liked the instant chemistry between Scarlett and Maverick and that the story had a high steady level. I didn’t particularly enjoy the storyline surrounding her workplace and her boss, it just felt a bit off. But all in all I liked the story.

This was such a fun and sexy read. Scarlett and Maverick are so cute together. They really can't be away from each other for long periods of time. Their relationship is off limits but they share something that's special and even though Scarlett might lose her job, they can't keep their hands off each other. If you love off limits tropes and otp male main characters, you will definitely love this novella.

A must read. Ms. Hart does it again. Seriously her books are great I'm currently going down the list. Maverick ends up in Scarlett hospital and their attraction is off the hook. Maverick is the perfect big burly hottie and she's this cute sweet nurse. Trouble is some shady co- worker of hers gets a bent outta shape over Scarlett. This book is short sweet and spicy! I highly recommend all Hart's books!

A romance blossoms between a nurse and her patient which is forbidden. But it doesn't stop this couple from seeing their relationship flourish. It's steamy, sudden and full of alpha possessiveness. I loved the family dynamic of the security company in the epilogue.
