This book was pretty basic, and also a little out-dated. I have been teaching for seven years, and most of the strategies they talked about I already knew about. I could see this being a better resource for new teachers, with the caveat that current research should supplement a reading of this book. If you are looking for quick, easy to digest strategies to teach your students tomorrow to help them comprehend better, this is a good resource.
