5-10 lines of text per page with large print, simple sentence structure, and easy vocabulary. Text is black on white pages without art opposite pages with full color, full page art. Art consistent with TV show. Layout is clean and visually appealing.

Sandy tells Spongebob about going to camp as a kid. Spongebob wanted to go, but he spent summers with grandma. They decide to hold their own camp.

Sandy will teach karate. Squidward will teach clarinet. Patrick imagines himself with a mustache leading physical exercises.

Spongebob is enthusiastic... extremely enthusiastic. He goes overboard telling everyone what to do. He drives everyone nuts. He's keeping the others awake.

They fix the problem by asking Spongebob if he wants to be their only camper. Spongebob yells, "I'm ready." The end.

I liked SpongeBob as a kid(And now, don't judge me!) and I absolutely adored this book. The classic SpongeBob humour is present, and any kid who is a fan of the sponge will absolutely enjoy it. This enjoyment will enhance the reading experience making your kid more enthusiastic about the process. I recommend the entire series. My sweat little nephew enjoyed it greatly.

SpongeBob is my all time favorite! I’m so excited that there are little books like this to experience more silliness from Bikini Bottom! I’m definitely going to try and read all of the ones available to me!

Good stuff

The book was funny, and taught a good listen if being a good friend. Also it taught how to look out for your friends.

This book was exactly what I thought a SpongeBob book would be like based on the TV show. Of course my boys (ages 4 & 8) enjoyed it because they like the show.

SpongeBob saw Sandy doing karate and found out she learned it at camp. SpongeBob told her he'd never been to camp so they decided to create one for Bikini Bottom. Sandy asked SpongeBob to be her assistant.

He did his job a little too well. He blew his whistle to wake up Patrick then said, "Just making sure you are working hard. Now go back to sleep!" When they were all together, he told them all to report to him right away but when they did he told them to go back to their posts.

The next morning, Squidward and Patrick complained to Sandy about SpongeBob's behavior. She gave him a present. It was a t-shirt for the camp. She told him they were all so busy getting ready for camp that they forgot to advertise for campers so SpongeBob would be the first and only camper.
