Marsha and Danny Jones are two characters that I really like. They are clever and witty and bring a lot of personality into their books. The mysterious nature of the story was captivating and I loved the narration. It was a fun read altogether. This is my second Marsha and Danny Jones Thrillers and they keep getting better.

I only picked up this book because of the title link to the Titanic. And initially, I also thought it was kids book, due to the size.

This is so boring, I could feel my eyes closing while I was reading it. And it’s fairly short chapters as well. If the link to the Titanic was there, it takes a while before it gets going and life is too short to read a book that is sending you to sleep.

I presume you would need to be a fan/have read the rest of the books in this series, as I’m sure this one would have made more sense. Unfortunately for me, it’s a hard pass. Don’t waste your time or your money.

Who do you call? Ice breakers!

We took a cruise that crossed the places of the sinking of the Titanic, Lusitania, and the Bismarck. At that time, I had not read these books, so I wasn’t apprehensive at all. Now, however, we have a different story. If Marsha and Danny aren’t on board, neither am I! The Joan of Arc is following the trail of the Titanic one hundred years later and also runs into a large ice burg. Since Marsha and Danny are on the Sea Empress a short distance behind them, what could happen?

I have enjoyed each one of Ken Rossignol's books. I like them because they are fast reads and give me a good overview of cruises. I've never been on a cruise, so I hadn't thought about passenger security, protection, even a jail on a cruise ship, or who might jump to my aid in an emergency. Because of Ken's stories I might just find myself on a cruise one of these days, sooner than later.

Only got this because of Titanic in the name - was so bad that I didn't even finish it - maybe you have to read other books in the series but I found the writing terrible too.

I originally chose this book to read for my "I've got that sinking feeling" category in my 13 X 13 challenge for this year. Then my Mystery & Suspense group posted a challenge for April with one of the categories being "Titanic Remembrance Day". I figured I was getting a "two for" deal. The book did turn out to be about the Titanic--at least it had information regarding the sinking. But I decided that the mystery part of the book was going to remain a mystery to me. I just couldn't quite decide what was going on until I got to the end (luckily it was fairly short) and found out it was 1 book out of a 4 part series. At that point, I decided that to be fair, I should probably read books 1 (at least) to see if that would help clear things up. However, when I read several reviews of the first book, "The Privateer Clause", the reviewers were pretty much saying what I was thinking--that there was a lot of action going on but they weren't really sure where it was going and that nothing was explained very well. The story was just all over the place. So--I decided that I didn't want to spend more time and money on more of the same. I gave the book 2.5 stars and then rounded it up to 3 just because I really did like the photos of many things "Titanic" that were included in the book. If you enjoy reading about a husband and wife investigative team where the wife can out shoot her husband, Mexican restaurant owners are being held hostage by a gang of terrorists and/or finding out what kind of sandwiches really helped President Clinton put on some extra weight, go for it but I would not recommend it.

Special U.S. Marshalls and Black & Perkins Security agents Danny and Marsha Jones are once again on the high seas protecting passengers from international terrorists. The Seven Seas Cruise Company’s flagship, the Sea Empress, sails from Southampton, England and makes the same cruise that the ill-fated RMS Titanic on her maiden voyage. Among the many passengers was a group of American Mexican restaurant owners, enjoying a long-awaited vacation. The terror groups, MS-13 and Black Hand have announced an extortion threat, threatening the restaurant owners businesses stateside.
The Sea Empress isn’t the only liner cashing in on the interest of the tragedy a century earlier. The Flemish cruise ship Joan of Arc was also filled with passengers and proceeding Sea Empress by forty miles. One could question the wisdom in tempting fate in this way but where the public is concerned, not surprising.

This is the third book in the Danny & Marsha Jones series and again they are on the high seas, protecting unsuspecting people from terrorists that seem to lurk in every corner.
Although the premise remains good, the grammar, research, and the writing techniques lag far behind. I am forced to state, in my opinion, if he doesn’t work on his fundamentals and clean up his stories, he will eventually fall by the wayside. This is the third book by him I’ve read and I was hoping to see an improvement but alas, there is no progress in sight.

Danny and Marsha are once again at sea aboard the Sea Empress. Another French cruise line is recreating the ill fated voyage of the Titanic carrying families of survivors of that fateful sinking. The Sea Empress is only hours behind their departure and hurricanes force them to divert from their intended southern crossing of the Atlantic and follow the French cruiser ship. An honest, hard working self made Mexican American and her family, along with many of her employees for the string of Mexican restaurants she owns and operates in the greater DC area is aboard when she received death threats from the Mexican "Black Hand" Cartel causing Marsha to take immediate action against the killers aboard the ship!

Then the French cruise ship strikes a huge iceberg losing all communication with the outside word. It has disappeared from the Sea Empress's Radar as well as a formation of US Navy Ships close by. Instantly the Sea Empress alters course at flank speed to the last known location of the French cruise ship and the US Navy hastens a following US Naval Battle Group forward, launching fighter aircraft to search ahead with a US nuclear Submarine also dispatched to the area. Will they arrive in time to save a doomed ship, or at least it's passengers and crew? Will the Black Hand Cartel threat be defeated? You'll have to read the book to find that out!

In this book, we get to follow Danny and Marsha Jones onto a cruise commemorating the Titanic -- 100 years after the sinking. It's a cool story, overall. Rossignol definitely knows all about Titanic and gives the reader some solid history and facts interwoven with the modern-day story.

Cons? There was 1 instance of the language being a bit too "rough" for my liking.

What I loved? There is a chapter in which Danny narrates the story and a chapter in which Marsha narrated... these are MY FAVORITE chapters. Here, we learn a lot more about this duo than ever before. We learn their history, who they are, and why they perform this type of edgy work.

Poorly edited and really disjointed. Some parts were very interesting & I would lose myself in the story, then something would happen that just didn't make sense or that didn't flow. Also it seemed to leave a lot of questions just hanging. Such as: what was up with the psychic? What does Danny do all day, and why is he paid more than his wife who actually seemed to do all the work? Were the Mexican Drug cartels done molesting the Mexican restaurant owners? Why did they even try to kidnap them in the 1st place?

A very interesting story by Ken Rollsignol which always has his facts right on point even in fiction stories. Marsha and Danny Jones are hired as security consultants for the Sea Express Cruise ship. They are always working to keep thing safe for everyone. On this cruise was the enactment of the sinking of the Titanic which was a good recap of the events, even to the point of the icebergs. Also was included were mysteries, politics, adventure, and was fast paced. The author showed his intense research abilities of the Titanic which is always interesting . A good story, very enjoyable.

This book was a big disappointment. It took way too long to get any kind of mystery going, and then it was over quickly. More history than anything else. I did enjoy the Titanic history, but then it got way too political...and I am not into that at all! I will not be reading any more of this series...as it is, this was the 3rd in the series and I didn't read or even know about the first two. Looking back, I should only have given it one star.

Once again we set sail on the Sea Empress from Southampton. As in the other books in the series something always goes wrong and excitement follows. You will be turning pages to find out what happens next in this exciting story. It is the centennial year of the Titanics sinking, because of bad weather the Sea Empress is forced to sail where the Titanic did a century before. Will the same fate happen on this voyage? You will have to read Follow Titanic to find out the answer.

It wouldn't be kosher for me to review my own book, but I still want to give it five stars, after all, if I don't think its great, why should I expect anyone else to read it! Thanks for trying it!

Another enjoyable installment in this series. If you enjoy radio serials, dime novels, and beach reads, this is a fun series to pass the time. Totally unbelievable but enjoyable.
