Very interesting, from a professor author, although written in a dense dissertation style. More extensive editing might improve the book for the reader.

I adore this book. While a bit old, it and Minoan Linear A are absolutely phenomenal works on the due diligence needed to confirm a decipherment. Want to decipher Linear A? This and Packard's books are both required reading in my mind; canonical criteria for how to Do It Right(tm).
