Outstanding book with detailed case studies on the application of DFSS in the area of software and IT systems. Agile methods are explored in the software development, which are an excellent source of reference for the rarely documented approaches. The author is a leader in Six Sigma, one of the original designers of the world class business process improvement methodology. His years of experience at Motorola and leadership in Design for Six Sigma techniques makes this a must have in the library of practitioners.

Well done Dr. Maass, your technical depth is well detailed and your polish as a Master Black Belt trainer has made the transfer of knowledge easily digestable.

This book is the most thorough and useful explanation of design for six sigma. Eric Maass has a deep and almost exhaustive knowledge of the development of hardware and software systems, and a good sense of humor to boot. The book provides clear guidelines for product development and characterization and can help to right the ship of any struggling team or organization.
