Wow, what a great way to end a series. Stephanie Tyler has done it again! A fast paced, engaging read, along with some great "toe-curling" heroes in Chris and Saint. *sigh*

What else can I say? I loved it and it's a solid 5 stars from me!

5 stars – Romantic Suspense

Whew boy, Stephanie Tyler really turned up the heat in this third and final installment in the thrilling, edgy, fast-paced, and action-packed Hard to Hold military romantic suspense trilogy!

Navy SEAL sniper Chris Waldron finds himself the suspect in an FBI investigation of an agent’s death that occurred during a rescue mission that went terribly wrong and in which he was wounded. If that’s not bad enough, the FBI agent in charge of investigating him is none other than Jamie Michaels, the woman he had a volatile affair with in the DRC, Africa two months prior and hasn’t been able to stop thinking about since. Jamie’s not too thrilled to see Chris again and is determined to maintain a professional and emotional detachment for the sake of the case, but does he have to be so damn sexy, magnetic, and irresistible? Chris is determined to reignite their explosive passion and to not let Jamie get away from him this time around, and he’s not about to let the FBI’s inquiry of his role in a goatf*ck mission or dangerous threats from Jamie’s past stand in their way of finally being together.

I’ve really enjoyed all three books (and all three yummy, strong military brothers), but I think this was the most taut, gripping, steamy, and intense of the series. Tortured Chris, with his dual colored eyes, gypsy and Cajun mixed blood, psychic gift of “sight”, and underlying protective, tender, and nurturing nature, makes such a charismatic and sexy-as-sin alpha-beta hero. I was slightly disappointed with the steam factor in Hard to Hold, Too Hot to Hold was indeed hotter, but the love scenes in this are SMOKIN’! It’s an exciting, satisfying conclusion to a really great trilogy! 5 stars!

I’m also looking forward to Lie with Me:, the first book in Tyler’s upcoming Shadow Force series, which is slated for release in Oct’2010.

This whole series was very good. Stephanie Tyler is one of the better writers in the romantic suspense category. This was a 4.5 star story!

Book three does tie up some of the relationships in the first two books. It is very important to read this series in order. There is an ongoing story from book one in two and a story in two that ties up in three, not a ton of back story given either. Which I liked, I hate the "rehash"…

Chris and Jamie met in book two in Africa and spend a very passionate night on board a plane. The circumstances surrounding why they are in Africa causes Chris to leave Jamie there. They are apart for two months, each going about their business and are forced together when Jamie investigates the death of an FBI agent in an Op gone badly. Even though they were not together for two months, neither one has been able to stop thinking about the other due to their combustible chemistry.

Jamie is a strong heroine, but not in an annoying way. I liked her a lot and understood most of the decisions that she made. Chris is a very likeable hero and although he would defend Jamie with his life, he is not a smothering Neanderthal. There is a romance between Chris' CO and Jamie's sister, which is smoking hot.

Very enjoyable read over all. Just the right amount of suspense and romance, and on the steamy side too!

I look forward to Tyler's next series set to come out in November 2010

This book was def. my fav. out of this series..I enjoyed the other two books also...but there was just something about Chris!..He is sooo sweet and VERY yummy!!..he is STILL very "alpha"..but NOT in an overbearing way that his brothers could sometimes be. I also liked that in this book there wasn't the typical "push/pull" between the H and h...there were times when they BOTH tried to push the other away..which, of course, would NOT make for good sexual tension or drama, if it there wasn't ANY in there...BUT..niether one of them tried overly hard..they were pretty much lost to eachother and knew that it was useless trying to fight it. Stephanie Tyler does a really great job, also, of bringing in a secondary story/couple..w/ out causing a whole lot of confusion. I LOVED Saint and was really happy to see him get a HEA! The action, really great suspensful storyline, the romance..it was all in there like it has been throughout this series..and ST writes really great steamy sex scenes...which I don't feel are EVER too much or overshadow the story.

4.5 stars but well, rounded=5 ;)

This is the best book of the trilogy. I could even stand Jake and Isabelle ;) (the boooooring couple).

The story is very good, packed with action and there are not one but two kick-a@@ heroines, Jamie and PJ! Infact, even if the main characters of this story are Jamie and Christ, PJ (Jamie's sister from the second book) and Saint (Chris' CO) are so present that we have a sort of double couple story ;)

In this book Jamie and PJ have to face their past and they do with an admirable courage, I so loved how good they were!

Recommended, even if you already know that you have to go through Jake&Isabelle to ascend to Jamie&Chris... like they say per aspera ad astra ;)

This is the last book in the trilogy and it was my favorite. Chris and Jamie were so perfect for each other. Chris is my favorite brother. Why? Well there is something about him. Maybe it is the multi colored eyes or the Gypsy "sight" or the fact that he is such an alpha male but in a quite sorta way. There is a silent command rather than towering over you barking . I also loved that there was unfinished business with Chris and Jamie. That Chris was the one chasing after Jamie and refusing to be pushed away. But also that he was not afraid to show his emotions to Jamie even though it freaked him out. Jamie I wanted to smack at the beginning. Just because she kept pushing Chris away. I hated that but then thats was what she was use to .

Wow there was a point where Chris told Jamie something because of his "sight" and I was so happy about it! The issue with Jamie and her sister PJ was so unresolved in the other book. I was so upset with PJ the way that she just walked away from her little sister without a backwards glance. But in this book you find out why. Also It was really nice to have PJ have her own happy ending. Gezz after what she went through she deserved it. Saint was perfect for her. I loved the little side story of them. That it blended into Chris and Jamie's story so perfectly.

The baddie is back to get them and wow it was action packed and there were some heart wrenching moments towards the end. The baddie was just plain sicko. I mean it wasn't like most books where he seemed sick in the head. More just revenge.

Also I need to say that the way in each book , the way the brothers were there for each other was so amazing! I mean they new what the other needed and didn't even hesitate to do what must be done.In this one Chris is hurting and doesn't want to talk about it but he also doesn't want to go upstairs to his room because he doesn't want to be alone. But he is beyond exhausted. What does nick and Jake do? They take him to Nick's room on the first floor, Jake lays next to Chris on the bed and Nick sits in the chair nearby. That was all Chris needed and for me that was so moving. They were just so in-tuned with each other. I loved it. It was like that in all three books.

this book pissed me off. chris was my favortie brother out of the three until i read his book. chris is supposed to be so in love with jamie.what a load of shit.at some point in the book chris's ex girlfriend walks in the bathroom and he stands there naked talking to her telling her how good she looks, then pulls her into the shower with him. then her pulls her top down and her skirt up and kisses her. then decides its not a good idea. never tells jamie or feels bad in any way.keep in mind her already told jamie he wants to be with her and she is pregnant with his baby. then later on in the book he goes out with the guys and of course the ex is there all over him in the parking lot at the bar. then he thinks to himself if his ex ever found someone else, he would be crused because he loves her. then they talk about how they always do this to eachother. of course while that is going on jamie is at home in bed while some crazy guy is trying to blow up the house she is sleeping in. bullshit! if chris loved jamie then the ex would be out of the pic and the cheating never would have happened. Just because chris didn't have sex with the ex doesn't mean he wasn't cheating. this ruined the book for me all the way to the end. He never tells jamie about what happened with the ex and he doesn't expalin anything further. i feel like the series is ruined for me because chris was the glue and then to read his book and see what an ass he is makes me sad!

I really enjoyed this book, and will be looking for the second in the series to finish up the story for me. (I read them out of order)

Chris Waldron is a Navy Seal sent on a mission to rescue a famous couple from African nationalists while they are trying to adopt a baby. but the mission is destined to fail from the beginning. And when all hell breaks loose and only two members of the team survive, there are questions being asked and careers may be lost.

Jamie is an FBI investigator trying to find out what happened on Chris's mission so she can clear him. But what her boss doesn't know is that Chris and she have a history. And when they can't fight their attraction and they are intimate again, Chris figures out that Jamie is pregnant and he knows that the baby is his.

They eventually clear Chris but Jamie is being hunted by someone from her past. When she was little her parents were killed by a killer out for revenge, and now he is trying to get her and her sister.

Chris, his brothers and a close friend have to keep the women safe and try to find the killer.

This book was hot and exciting. I thought that it was well done and I will look for the second int he series. I thought that the characters could have been a little more deep, but the overall story was good. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

This story seems to wrap up the brothers main story line and was great. Nick's path seemed to run right into Jamie's again, which was a great thing as they are so good together.

Jamie's past comes into play this time and we learn just exactly what happened to her. Jamie's sister also plays a big part in the story too and she manages to find her own SEAL in Saint. That secondary story line was as much fun as Jamie and Nick's.

Nick's physic Cajun crap comes into play a lot in this book, one time with ramifications that really screw with his head, the other time bringing him good news.

Once again the 3 brothers work together to protect one of their women and it is so much fun when that it happens. They all accept without hesitation that what Nick wants in a woman is right and all is good and what ever he is doing to protect her they need to be in on too, all for one and one for all.

This one was so good, it seemed like I couldn't turn the page fast enough.

I can't wait to see what this author comes out with next.

Slightly better than the previous 2. The secondsight gift was hopefully minor in the story.
The main love story in this book seems to be Jamie's sister, PJ, rather than Jamie herself.
Once again there were too many coincidences, too much angst and trauma in each character to make it realistic and deeply moving. However I have to admit that I really liked the uncovery of what had really happened during the hostage rescue mission gone bad in Sudan. I did not exactly expect that and it was handled with much more delicacy than I would have expected, given the overall tone.
I'll not pick up another book from Ms. Tyler and did not even bother to read the extract / beginning of her next book.

The last book in this trilogy certainly didn't let me down. I now don't have a favourite brother as I have enjoyed all three stories so much. The only problem I had was the same as I had with Too Hot to Hold, which is I would have liked more of history of these three wonderful men.
Will be now looking for more books by this author, as these books have been so good.

Hold on tight

They spent such a brief time together in Africa but those precious moments and the way they impacted the hero and heroine's lives was overwhelming. When the hero chose to walk away, knowing the damaged heroine was not ready for his kind or relationship so soon after the death of her partner and lover, that didn't mean that she left his thoughts. Never for a moment was she not everything he thought about. Only now, he's just as damaged as her.

A rescue mission went together tits up and it the chaos a teammate and friend were murdered. The hero himself was injured in the bomb blast and when he woke up in the hospital it was to the announcement that he is under investigation for murder. And to top off the horror of the last few weeks of having his friend killed, himself hurt and on the DL list is the fact that his ex-lover is the one investigating him.

The heroine is very private, she keeps her secrets extremely close to her chest. But the hero is the only man who's come the closest to truly knowing her. And it scared her. And now, even though that passion between them is burning brighter than ever, her role in determining his guilt makes that relationship forbidden. That doesn't seem to stop them. They fall quickly back into a frenzied sexual affair that's always laced with a heavy amount of tender feelings and a deep sense of connection.

The hero is blessed (or cursed) with what he calls the psychic Cajun bullshit. Basically, he knows things, things to come. He's the first to realize that their affair in Africa has produced a child and the idea scares him to death but at the same time fills him with a sense of completeness. But he's most afraid of the idea that he can't keep her safe. Safe from her job, safe from the bat shit crazy man who shot her and murdered her partner. Safe from all those heavy secrets that have her so caged and imprisoned. But the heroine is no fool. It may take her some time but she eventually realizes that only the hero is capable of keeping her safe. Every moment spent in his company brings them closer and closer together emotionally until it seems two people could never be more in tuned with each other. She helps him through his survivors’ guilt and his family issues just as much as he helps her through her trust issues and her fear of being the cause of the death of those she loves. And she's tired of running. She's determined to make a safe environment for her baby and that cannot happen until she lays her past to rest for good.

This book was not what I was expecting but in a good way. I thought this was going to be an on the run romantic suspense with plenty action and hot adrenaline driven sex but it was so not that. I think it barely counts as romantic suspense at all. It was truly character driven. It focused on the angst of the hero and heroine with their issues and the love between them at that was so evident. You know what it reminded me off? Skyfall, James Bond. Yes, it's an action character and yes you know he can kick ass but he's vulnerable and the author takes the time to develop him as a character rather than have him be in the shoot em’ up setting. I really really liked that. Oh, and I must say the sex scenes? Outstanding. I don't recall more intimate and freaking hot sex scenes and it got me all hot under the collar if I'm being honest. It was so deep and passionate without being X rated or over the top. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My only complaint? PJ, the sister should have had her own book. not a half assed subplot in this one. She was just as, if not more, interesting than her sister the heroine and I was disappointed that her story was more drawn out a

Hold on Tight is the 3rd book and the conclusion to Stephanie Tyler’s Navy Seals trilogy featuring three brothers who are bonded together not by blood, but are family none the less.

This series for me was an OK read. Not so great that I raved about them, and not so bad that I couldn't finish them and read the next one. I love stories featuring hot, alpha, navy seals and some of the best books in the genre have been written by Suzanne Brockmann, Christy Reece and Cindy Gerard and Tyler’s books fall just a little short of that mark for me.

If you read the books in order(and I suggest you do), then Chris and Jaime are already familiar characters as they are featured quite prominently in a suspense/romantic subplot in book 2, Too Hot To Hold.

In Hold On Tight, Chris Waldron is being investigated for his actions during a mission in Africa that resulted in a tragic end when an FBI agent assisting the mission is killed along with one of Chris’s good buddies and teammate Mark, who is captured, tortured and killed by rebels.

Special FBI agent Jamie Michaels just happens to be assigned to investigate the tragedy, bringing her right smack dab back into the centre of Chris’s life. As mentioned above, they have a past including some wild sex in a downed plane in Africa, but it’s been a few months since they’ve had any contact.

Jamie is keeping a major secret from Chris, but as learned in previous books, Chris has a special gift, so it doesn't take him long to unravel her secret. In fact she's got a lot of skeletons in her closet.

Jamie and Chris had quite a hot and heavy romance in book 2, so part of my problem with their relationship in Hold On Tight was that Jamie was such a hard-ass when it came to believing Chris and his side of the story. He’s having a hard time remembering exactly what happened due to some injuries he sustained during the Fubar mission. Jamie’s excuse is that she’s just doing her job and wants to keep things professional, but that excuse went right out the window the minute she slept with him before they even left Africa to return to the United States to start the investigation. I just didn’t comprehend her actions and felt she should have recused herself from the case right from the start.

I found the love story between the secondary characters PJ (Jamie’s older sister) and Saint to be far more interesting. It had more bite and grit and was down and out dirty.

With all that being said, there was lots of action and suspense and intrigue; things got blown up and people got shot at and lives were in danger.

Nick and Jake make appearances as do their girlfriends and once again one of the highlights for me was the banter and interaction between the three brothers.

Of the 3 books in the series, this was probably my favourite. Will I pick up Cam’s story Lie With Me when it comes out? Yes I probably will.

Navy Seal Chris Waldron and his team are in Africa to rescue the US Ambassador and his family from a hostile situation. But the operation didn’t quite go as it should be, because Navy Seal Kendall and FBI agent Miller are both killed in an explosion.

FBI special agent Jamie Michaels has been assigned to question Navy Seal Chris & Cam and find out what went wrong. Chris has some memory lapses from the explosion, but both men separately explain that it was FBI Josiah who ordered them not to enter the building and that Navy Seal Kendall disobeyed his command.

It’s hard for Jamie & Chris to stay away from each other, because they both remember the passion between them months ago when they go looking for her missing sister. Their new found relationship is under fire when Jamie’s boss informs her that FBI Miller didn’t die in the explosion but was shot between his eyes and Chris, who is a sharp sniper, is suspect number one.

Hold on Tight by Stephanie Tyler is the last novel in her Hard to Hold Trilogy and just like the previous two novels its one hell of a book. I have to say that since I’ve read Tyler’s Navy books I’m totally hooked to this genre. Who can refuse those hot strong men in uniforms, well I don’t.

Chris and Jamie met in Too Hot to Hold, when Jamie was after his brother Nick and went looking for her missing sister in Africa. Now she’s back in Chris’s life, investigating the situation Chris is in, but soon she discovers she cannot do this, because of her strong feelings for him.

Chris has always been the “weird” one of the three brothers because of his paranormal gift. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t close. There isn’t anything the three brothers wouldn’t do for each other, so when Chris is in trouble they will watch his back and get him trough this situation.

I really enjoyed reading this fabulous Trilogy about three brothers and their adventures. I love to read about their different background and the way they were brought together and became a family. I know there will be another Navy Trilogy with members of their team and I cannot wait to read those.

The third trilogy of Hold series and it was definitely intense and a book that is worth one’s time to read. Chris Waldron and Jamie Michaels met in Book 2 where there was a certain attraction between them but their supposed attraction “ended” where Jamie could not abandon the past and Chris isn’t willing to compete with a ghost of Jamie’s past.

The story continues after 2 months where Chris Waldron and his team was sent on a mission to rescue a kidnapped ambassador and things go awfully wrong; he finds himself being investigated for the mission and the chief investigator is none other than Jamie Michaels. I felt that this book has more angst, push-and-pull towards the feelings between the leads. Jamie Michaels, the chief investigator is determine to keep things professional with Chris Waldron put its halt when she saw him bruised in the hospital bed. All those feelings in Africa had rekindled and I liked how Chris put forth his feelings and isn’t afraid of telling one how he feels.

I particularly liked this phrase that I’ve chanced while reading this book and this definitely tugged my heartstring.

Jamie: “What you need to do is stop trying to control this situation. You have your own to deal with.”
Chris: “You are my situation. Don’t you get that? Ever since I first kissed you… And I’m not going to let something happen to you because there are circumstances keeping us apart.”

I liked how Chris is Alpha but not overbearing and when Jamie was placed in danger, loved the protection from Chris and his brothers, Jake and Nick. A brief relationship which had its punch and left a deep impression will be Saint and PJ; somehow I was rooting for their relationship more than the leads as the story goes alone. I am glad that the book has a great closing to the trilogy and I will be looking forward to reading other Stephanie Tyler’s creations.

Special Agent Jamie Michaels of the FBI is put in charge of the investigation of the death of an FBI hostage negotiatior. Two months ago Jamie went to the DCR to find her sister. On the way she teamed up with Chris Walker who was looking for his brother. After a brief but very hot affair they have no contact with each other until Jamie is assigned to investagate Chris. Chief Petty Officer Chris Waldion was sent to Sudan as part of a joint task force with the FBI. They were there to rescue an American Ambassador, his movie star wife, their two adopted children, and four UN Peacekeepers. When they get to the meeting area they find the peacekeepers dead and the other hostages in the Sudanese embassy. The embassy in under fire from the Darfur rebels. During the rescue the FBI is killed. While Jamie tries to clear Chris of any blame in the death, things start heating up between Chris and Jamie. The attraction between the two of then is hard to ingore. When a dangereous man from Jamie's past shows up trying to kill her, Chris takes Jamie into hiding. They must learn to trust in each other and their love to survive this new danger.

This is the third and final installment in Ms Tyler's Navy Seals trilogy. What a great ending to this trilogy. You get it all, romance, adventure, and mystery. In addition to this in this story is a second love story between Jamie's sister and Chris's friend. Ms Tyler brings back Chris's brothers, Nick and Jake along with their ladies. This series is one you will want to put on your keeper shelve so that you can reread them over and over. Look for Ms Tyler's upcoming new series Shadow Force. The first book Lie with Me will be out October 26th and the second book Promises in the Dark out November 23

3 3/4 stars

This is the 3rd installment in a trilogy about 3 brothers who are Navy SEALs. This one centers around Chris Waldron. He is the biological son of Kenny and Maggie and has the "gift" of sight, better known as that "Cajun psychic bullsh*t". He has avoided it and ignored it for most his life, but lately, he doesn't seem to be able to ignore it.
FBI Agent Jaime Michaels met Chris 2 months earlier (in the previous book, Hard to Hold) when she went to Africa to save her sister. Their relationship was short, but hot. Now that they are back together for FBI business, her attraction to him returns.

I was pretty excited about this one. Jaime and Chris met in the previous book and their relationship was hot and steamy. I had high expectations for this one. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. Chris and Jaime's relationship was decent, but it did not seem to progress well. It just did not seem to flow well enough for me. It was good, but not excellent.

I was actually a little let down by the Saint/PJ story. I did not find myself connecting with the characters and it just seemed a little too unbelievable. One thing that bugged me was that Saint would not eat any junk food--no sweets, only healthy food, but he would smoke? Just seemed a little odd to be health conscious, but not care about smoking.

Overall, the plot was good. I like the suspense. Jaime and PJ's story was well developed and I liked the way Kevin fit in and how all the stories came together.

Worth the read. I'm looking forward to more from Stephanie Tyler. Her next book, Lie with Me, is based on Cameron Moore, a character introduced in this book.

Last book in this trilogy and it was really great. This one featured Chris, the eldest brother, and Jamie. We met Jamie in the previous book when she flew to Africa to try to save her sister Sophie.

We learn in this book that Jamie is a member of the Witness Protection program. She is reluctant to share her life with others in fear of them getting hurt because of who she is. When Chris comes back from a mission gone wrong, the FBI sends Jamie to determine if Chris was responsible for the deaths of his team. Jamie believes he's innocent but with the FBI pushing her, she has no choice but to continue the investigation. Chris and Jamie are forced together and when things from Jamie's past begin reappearing and threatening her once more she needs to decide if Chris is worth fighting for or whether she should run and hide.

Overall, I liked the way the series was ended, and I liked how Chris's brothers still remained in the story. The sexual chemistry between Jamie and Chris was pretty amazing, they definitely lit up the pages.

Then there was the side story of PJ and Saint which was a surprise edition and also really amazing to watch. At some points it seemed a little unbelievable but if you just suspend reality for a few minutes it was a perfect storyline.

I will definitely be looking into other books by this author.

I just have to point out that I read this book out of order. I liked this story a lot, the thing that made it good for me is that these characters took chances. The story moved very nicely and I was drawn in right away even without knowing the backstory.

Chris and his brothers were perfection. Jamie and PJ were very likeable between the 2 I liked PJ. Her story with Saint really stood out for me I cried many times throughout this book it was very emotional. Chris has been through a lot having to kill his best friend so he wont be tortured to death in a war situation he now has to face life in the real world. He gets Jamie pregnant, I loved that part. The fact that he delivers babies is ridiculously sexy and his powers make him mysterious. Towards the end it slowed down a bit but I also take into account I had very little reading time so this book is a could be 5 for me. i just have to point out for myself that this is YET ANOTHER BOOK WHERE THE HEROINE NEEDS TO BE TOLD TO EAT REPEATEDLY. I am so tired of reading about this cant writers make a character that eats and doesn't like to read?????? Isn't homely or clumsy? And then on the opposite end....butch woman that beats the crap out of guys with a man's haircut????????? Sorry I took it out on this book but it just came out! in the end I really liked this book and most impotantly the characters.
