Timothy was not a good man in life and being undead did little to improve his disposition. What will a man trapped in his own mind do to survive when he wakes up to find himself a zombie controlled by a self-aware virus?
So let me just say that I have a pretty good background in all things ‘zombie.’ I’ve seen every Night/Dawn/Day/Army of the Dead type of film at least a few times, read many books on the subject, possibly have met a few of the undead (Or they just appeared so), etc. I thought that I’d seen it all. But Timothy was a truly unique experience that breathed new life into an overdone genre. Timothy and Hugh were absolutely spectacular together, with so many memorable back and forths. You hate Timothy so badly for all of his misdeeds, ugly behaviors and his terrible outlook on everything, but you want to know more about him. It’s like watching a car accident, in the sense that you can’t look away. This book has a great deal of vulgar scenes, so be prepared for a sloppy, uncomfortable, but again, yet oddly entertaining and hysterical ride
It was perfect!!! It’s the Story of Timothy a sociopath who hasn’t had the time to kill (directly) while he was human, and became the monster he was deep down, when he has been turned into a zombie.
Tim tale is very gore with a good story and lots of funny moments, for people with a very dark humor, like myself.😆
I highly recommend it to people who enjoy an unexpected zombie story.
What can I say??? I have never read a book that is written from "The Monsters" point of view. Very graphic but again very well written. Great story. Well done Mark Tufo.
This novella was without a doubt one of the sickest, most demented, and perverse things I have read in a very long time. It say a great deal about me (none of it good, mind you) that I adored every page of it. I need help.
This is a tale about a miserable, unlikeable, abusive man who does clown parties for kids on the weekends. Not because he likes kids, but because he lives beyond his means in order to more effectively womanize. One thing leads to another and the zombie apocalypse arises. In stead of the average zombie, Timothy remains conscious within but not in control of his zombie body. He and his body are at odds with one another.
What ensues is a series of events which are as perversely and grotesquely accounted as possible. This book is absolutely not for the faint of heart. But what makes is fascinating is not only the totally unlikeable protagonist (and he is never likable), but the fact that he somehow undergoes a process of self-self-realization and fulfillment made possible by his re-merging with his zombie body self. That self-actualization is even more awful and perverse a person. There is no uplifting tale of redemption in these pages. But the descent (which is somehow also an ascent) is like a traffic accident. You can’t look away. You are drawn to it, even as you know it if wrong for you to be drawn to it.
I could not put this book down. I am a bad, bad man.
I tired to read this book by Mark but for me, it was too dark. BUT I do love Mark's writing and completely love, love! his Mike Talbot books, haven't got a chance to pick up Indian Hill 2 but its my next book to read. Keep up the hard work Mark Tufo.
Timothy is sick and twisted...in the best way possible! Where does Tufo come up with this stuff? I loved everything about Timothy. Mark Tufo excels at writing hilarious dialog between cohorts. This time is just happened to be inside Timothy's head! Great job delivering readers one sadistic roller coaster ride of fiction. And also, worth mentioning that including cameo appearances from the Zombie Fallout series was genius. Great to see them from another perspective.
I fear for Tufo's wife when she sleeps. I'm not sure I could close my eyes around a ind that produces this stuff!
This was my first experience reading Mark Tufo. The idea of becoming a zombie and having another entity enter and take over your body was a unique concept to the zombie genre. Sharing the same body while both souls can interact and control the zombie was a cool twist. However, once the mayhem began, I quickly realized that this book really had no story. It was nothing but a zombie in a clown suit killing and eating his victims in more and more brutal ways. Literally, that's the entire book. But worse than that, the copy editing is atrocious. Missing quotation marks and run-on sentences can be found on nearly every page. Every. Single. Page. As much as I did enjoy reading the zombie kills, I found the grammatical errors to be extremely frustrating, especially when the book was published by Severed Press and not self published. I hope Mark Tufo cleaned his work up for the sequel. Is this the copy editing that was done on his ten or so previous zombie books? God, I hope not. As far as the Timothy sequel, at over twice the page count, I'm curious as to what the story would be, if anything. Please tell me it is not more of the same. The clown zombie going from one victim to another spewing internal vulgar dialogue. It's really bizarre. Almost experimental. I admit, however, I still might have to check it out. Perhaps I like to torture myself.
I really like Zombie books and love Mark Tufo’s writing but this was just too out there for me. This book from the point of view of a zombie that happened to keep some of his self-awareness is kind of disturbing. There is more blood and gore than normal and in a bit too much detail. Seriously, this book is like swimming; don’t eat a half hour before you start reading it. In addition Timothy wasn’t a good person in life so you can just imagine how that goes. Too dark and far down the rabbit hole for my tastes.
This was certainly a crazy ride through the trapped mind of a potential psychopath in a clown suit. we follow Timothy as his soul is trapped in his mind after a snot nosed little brat bites him during his clown act at a birthday party and infects him with the zombie virus. This was thoroughly raunchy and perverse ride on the zombie train. very entertaining for anyone who can stomach it.
Ok Timothy is a psycho...he is super gross and really a dirty pig...the story is very unique and quite funny....if you like the ZFO series this is a must listen..its the other side of things and its very enjoyable....just super gross! lol On to Tim2!
Just why Mark? lol This book is so gross..but laugh out loud funny!! Love it!!
This is the first book that I have read told from the viewpoint of a zombie, which made Timothy a very interesting character. This book is very graphic with a lot of gore. It was too much for me personally. I couldn't wait to finish the book so that I could get the images out of my head.
This book was Gore, Gore and more gore. I was thinking to myself ...Mark Tufo you are sooo deranged! but I loved every description. every page into the mind of Timothy the Zombie.
Timothy is to Dexter like Zombie Fallout is to the Walking Dead, more brutal, more real, and not a bit apologetic. Tufo takes his humor, attention to details, and twisted mind, and cranks it to 11, to bring horror to life in ways that will have you laughing while fighting back the vomit. Zombie Fallout never seemed to shy from crude humor and buckets of guts, but Timothy does it from the perspective of the monsters. This isn't an antihero story. This isn't a misunderstood criminal /villain story. This is a story of a misogynistic piece of scum becoming a True F**king Monster. "Dexter" is a shining beacon of hope in comparison. Seriously, this is the Rotten.com of books. And it is all the more psychologically scarring because it is hilarious! The faint of heart should try his Zombie Fallout series, it is much more likely to keep you up all night with it's blunt humor and adventure, instead of the true horror of exploring the mind of a monster, like Timothy. There are things you just can't unthink.
This was a disturbing, disgusting, and offensive story. By design, I’m pretty sure. I thought Mark Tufo did a skillful job of placing us deeply in the POV of the depraved piece of work named Timothy. I struggled with the first half of the novella, and nearly stopped reading. Ick. But the final ⅓ of the tale provided the payoff that made the read worthwhile. If you’ve read the Zombie Fallout series, this is a worthwhile addition. But it’s tough to stomach, and I’m not sure how much it added to my overall reading value. The three-star rating is the result of the finish, and the author’s skill in getting us to deeply experience Timothy - but without the ending I might have left it a two-star.
There are a couple of sequels. No thank you. I’ve read a ton of Mark Tufo’s stuff, but I don’t need more Timothy.
Mark Tufo has a several series of great books, that the wife and I love. We are definitely fans, and we also love the fact that he respects Veterans, and that means a lot to me Mark, with being a retired soldier, so thank you. Anyways love the the Evil Clown, and him working with the virus, just makes him that more dangerous and twisted. Always looking forward to reading more of your books.
I liked the concept of it being from a zombie point of view! My reason for a 4 Star is this isn’t a book for those who are sensitive to animal abuse. I felt it could have been left out. Overall the story was great!
An interesting zombie book that has a brief connection to the Zombie Fallout series. It’s an interesting book because it’s written from the perspective of the zombie (sort of- don’t want to spoil it too much). Very violent and lots of zombie shit (feces ) jokes

Honestly, I'm with the others on this one. I'm on book 3, it's meh... Something to do while waiting for a new release. It's not his greatest and it's NOT Talbot - to be clear. Completely different. Read the reviews, decide like I did for yourself. I could've passed and not missed anything.
Just amazing..I met tim in demon fallout and to go back and really meet him ...also if you read the whistlers series trip casually mentioned he was at his nephews birthday party with a clown named Timothy..just love the crossovers
I am glad I waited until I have read all the Zombie Fallout books before listening to this one. I already knew Tim was psycho but this story was just needlessly gross and disgusting 🫣
