MacKenzie Stowe began her love of reading and writing when she was very young. A hopeless romantic she likes to write stories about hot handsome men and the strong women who tame them. She loves her boyfriend, chocolate, wine and her animals but not always in that order. She is happily living in Sunny Southern California as she thinks up her next romantic story
Brody Chapman is one of the Navy SEAL buddies and the last to find the woman he loves. Zoe, who is now working as a paralegal, has some information related to the murder of the sister of one of his buddies. Zoe steps into the Mustang Sally Bar in New York City and connects with her own past as she finds Brody, a guy she had once had a big crush on. Brody quickly goes into protection mode to keep Zoe safe, but falling for him is what she really needs protection from! Will her information help find Lauren’s killer? Will Brody convince her that he wants to have a relationship with Zoe and doesn’t want to let her go now that he has this second chance with her?
This is the 12th book in this series, and this is Brody and Zoe’s story. Zoe moved to New York to forget about her past, and she is working as a paralegal. Having information Zoe heads to a bar to see a guy with information about his sister’s murder, and when she walks in she comes face to face with Brody, and he act like he does not know her. Brody owns a bar with his two best friends, and seeing Zoe again brings out his protective instincts. This is a well written story which is action packed, and easy to read, with family, friendships, witty banter, humor, emotions, tension, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner. Brody and Zoey’s story is so heartwarming: they’ve known each other forever and had feelings that they never acted on. She’s reserved, thoughtful, and emotionally scarred from a bad relationship. He’s patient, committed, and willing to live anywhere for her.
Mackenzie Stowe’s 3 rd book in trio of former military men is a work of art. A slow burn with plenty of heat, a mature building of trust, and development of a strong foundation with love and passion. Brody shows her that she’s his center and he wants to be hers as well. A beautiful end to their continuing story!.

This is book 12 of The Billionaire Series and a standalone story. I loved this book. It is Zoe and Brody's story. Childhood friends who meet again after years apart. I was so happy for the final ending of the tragedy of Eric's sister' death. I finally had answers, and it was a nice way to end the pain of Eric's character. You do not need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one, but I liked that with the character crossovers it allowed the reader to understand the characters a little more.

Zoe had come to New York for an intern position. What she didn't expect was coming face to face with Brody. Her friend and her old crush. So when he acts like he doesn't know her, she is hurt.
Brody is in shock since running into Zoe. His body heats up every time he thinks about her. So when he gets her to agree to have some fun, what he wants more is a forever with her.
Can he get her to love him and want him the same way he wants/needs her?.

Zoey and Brody missed their chance when they were younger but circumstances see their paths cross again years later.
Brody has absolutely no doubts about his attraction to Zoey and works hard to persuade her to give them a chance. The more cautious Zoey has just come out of a long term relationship and is only in New York for a short time.
A wonderful slow burn romance and a great opportunity to revisit the other two couples.
Another fantastic story from MacKenzie and am looking forward to see what she has in store for us next.

The last person Brody expected to see walk into the bar was Zoe. Protecting her heart was all she was about. No more relationships due to her past. Once you have heartbreak, it is very hard to open it up again. A person can only take so much until they shut down that part of their being. It hurts so much you feel like a part of you has actually died. Loved this book. Can not wait to see what else this wonderful author comes up with.
Loved the narration from AJ Clarke and Jim Catapano
Zoe is a paralegal, who has information related to the murder of the Lauren the sister of one of Brody’s friends. The two used to know each other but it was never the right time and when Zoe steps into the Mustang Sally Bar the two reconnect.
This story has drama, heart, love, passion, twist and forgiveness.

This is Zoe and Brody's story. This can be enjoyed as a stand alone but has connected character and a bit more. The connection and chemistry between the main characters is off the charts but both has baggage and there is a bit of history. I enjoyed seeing how these two grew finding love along the way. The story does have a bit of drama, suspense and mystery with some fun, sweet and heartwarming.
This is book 12 in Stowe's The Billionaire Series and can be read / listened as a standalone but is a great addition to the series. Stowe delivers a well written and narrated romance read with main characters Zoe and Brody. A second chance romance that's heartwarming and emotional. A wonderful listen, I loved this journey!

Third and final book in this trilogy and I feel you do have to read the three books in order as there is an underlying story
My main criticism is that these books are starting to feel a little bit the same just insert different names. The connection between Zoe and Brody is a little off the charts but something needed to happen to liven the story up
Brody and Zoey grew up in the same town. He had always been infatuated with her, but she had a boyfriend. Now she has walked into his bar and may be in danger. Brody has a chance to get Zoey back into his life by staying at her side to protect her. Will their time together lead them to a deeper relationship this time around that will end with a happily ever after. This story had me in Brody and Zoey's corner to get their chance for a happily ever after.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I love these story. I couldn't put the book down. Great characters that will pull you into their story and pulls at your heart strings. Brody and Zoey have great chemistry and panty melting heat. This story has drama, heart, love, passion, hope and forgiveness. The stories flows effortlessly with a few twists and turns that will keep you glued from start to finish.
A happy ending for the series: This was the final book of the trilogy and I'd recommend reading them in order as there was a continuing mystery and interconnecting characters. It was an enjoyable, albeit slightly simplistic story. I found it rather slow at times but I liked that there wasn't an overabundance of angst or drama. Personally I would have liked there to have been more suspense and I thought the culmination to the case was rather anticlimactic. Brody and Zoey made a cute couple and I was pleased when they finally worked things out. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
