A year ago, Tonya Morton convinced three of her favorite people to collaborate with her on a literary journal. It was meant as an experimental outlet for herself and her friends, in hopes that they could make some good work and find new readers.
Juke, a creative journal "with dirt in the corners" went live at Juke.Press in April of 2022. Initially, it featured Tonya and her friends Damon Falke, Paul Vlachos, and Ned Mudd. Over the course of this year, new voices have joined in. The group of four has become a group of writers, artists, musicians, and videographers. Juke has found thousands of new readers. Most importantly, Juke has become a community.
This anthology celebrates Juke's first anniversary with some of the best writing and art published so far.
