Life has almost returned to normal for Lexi. The hunters that were out to kill her have been taken care of and her father saved from their clutches. Her biggest worry has become remaining "just friends" with the hot, alien Gallaghar, who clearly wants more from her while she is secretly pining away for Ferdinand, who seems to have a much darker agenda than being her boyfriend. Lexi still hasn't located her mother and receives information that she may be on the planet Sion. She drops everything and drags her friends with her to follow a lead that could very well be a trap. If Farah has her way, then Lexi won't be leaving Sion alive and this will mean the start of a war to the death between their planets.

With the threat from the Abstrus hunters mostly non-exisitant and no direction to find her mother, Lexi returns home to life with her father. He is doing much better and actually semi-participating in life once again.

Gavin and Farah have made it very clear that even though the threat from the hunter isn’t at the for front they still want her dead even though she saved Gavin and Gallagher from the “office”.

Gallagher on the other hand, wants a romantic relationship with Lexi. She is torn between the attraction she holds for Ferdinand and him being under Farah’s control, she can’t trust him.

Now that Gem is free of the hunter’s control she is spending time between the hidden colonies of ½ breeds and visiting Lexi. On one such visit, she reveals to Lexi that she’s discovered that her mom went to Sion to negotiate a peace treaty with Sion over the ½ breeds. This is an effort to stop the war. Alexi decides (in her ultimate wisdom) that she is going to Sion to find her mom. (Of course you can see what a great idea that is…go to the enemy planet as a treaty breaker in the flesh). Well, Liza funds this trip and together Lexi, Gem, Liza and Gallagher head to Sion (the dying planet).

This is an extremely visual and descriptive book into a wonderful imagination known as T. K Rayford. Rayford’s vibrant portrayal of Sion, makes you feel like you are there on this alien world. There is some action, adventure, a little romantic tension but ultimately it’s the strong friendship and dedication that capture Sion throughout. Sion is a great continuation of an extremely creative series.

This copy of Sion was given to me by Goodreads First Reads and TK Rayford in exchange for an honest review.
