This complete overview of religious studies provides students with the essential knowledge and tools they need to explore and understand the nature of religion.
It is a good textbook to use for my comparative religions class with some supplemental materials and some corrective information regarding some non-Abrahamic religions.
Overall enjoyed the representations of the various religions. There were some loose interpretations of the meaning within religious texts viewed through the lense of our modern Western civilization. We must take into context the manners and customs of the culture in which the religion came to understand a well-rounded perspective. As with anything, verify the information presented, especially when quoted from any religions scripture.
Not exactly what I was looking for but still a very interesting read. The first 50 pages explained a lot of confusing things for me. The rest was a great read too
