Within the Church
Have you ever thought about the ones who are in the public eye of the church? What skeletons they may be hiding in their closets? What secrets they may have from their past? What indiscretions they may be hiding? In reading “When It All Falls Down” by Dijorn Moss, these questions are surely to surface.
Nicodemus Dungy is a minister who works behind the pulpit. Nicodemus isn’t much for preaching the sermon these days. There is a reason for this. No…these days Nicodemus is the one the church calls in when they need to prevent a potential scandal from surfacing in the public eye. With the skills he possesses to make these ‘situations’ go away, the church is more than willing to pay him well. When he is hired to find a missing husband, what he thinks will be an easy case turns out to be more than he bargained for. It will ultimately test his faith. When it all falls down, will he remain strong?
“When It All Falls Down” will make you really think about the things that could be going on right within your church behind the scenes. It will really make you wonder if there is a ‘problem-solver’ who is hired like the character Nicodemus. My only real complaint is that Moss could have written more of some of the background material and elaborated more to build up key scenes within the story. Moss had a good concept, an original idea with the overall story, and weaved it into a mystery that slowly unraveled for the reader. I commend Mr. Moss for taking the wherewithal to step out of the box and show a different side of his writing.

Great book
I enjoyed reading this book. Good characters and strong story line. Looking forward to more! Refreshing and thought provoking Christian themed book. I even enjoyed the preaching scenes also.

Nicodemus Dungy is a true servant, but I’m still trying to decide just who he’s serving. He does great dead’s but he so conflicted with his work and his true service to God. Can’t wait to see how the writer leads him to redemption.

Great biblical principles reinforced and a great storyline. I appreciated the writing style. And I have not previously read any other book addressing this subject matter. I read the book in one day. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

I really appreciate and enjoying reading this book. I thought the writing techniques and emotional characteristics of each person were designed quite uniquely, with an in-depth analysis to their individualize background.
I never knew that that some like Nic Dugrey existed to thoroughly help the church during these dangerous, violents, and unsettling crises. It seems that this author did a lot of extensive research in writing to this story.
I proudly and highly recommend this book

Prepare yourself readers for the cleanup Minister Nicodemus Dungy. The book opens in West Virginia at Rev. Swagger' church where Minister Dungy is on his way to take care of yet another church mess, this time involving snake handling and a little boy.From one church to the next Minister Dungy walks in and cleans up the mess for a fee, but not everything has a price tag attached to it, which Dungy and a very influential client quickly finds out.
Moss did a wonderful job with this story, which spotlights problems in the church and within its congregants. Walking through the story with Minister Dungy I kept thinking sometimes we start things for good reasons, but when we stay longer than expected it's time to rethink our reasons why.I'm sure the Apostle Paul would be pleased with several characters in this book like Pastor Surges, Bishop Wade, and Rev Swagger. As he instructed the Corinthian believers to not go to court against one another these pastors were obedient to that word and took care of their own.

I enjoyed reading this book. Minister Nic Dungy is the main character,but i couldn't understand why he called himself a minister until further in the book. He is really an undercover problem solver to ministers' sin. He came in and made their wrongs right. The last case he works on allowed him to really get back in touch with God. He was asked to do bible study one night and then preach the sunday service. He allowed God to pour into him again;when he was only used to pouring into others. Plus he met a woman that made him feel good to be in her presence. That job made an impact on his life to where he didn't want to solve problems for others any more and he focused on his happiness.

this is the second book I have read by this author. this was a very interesting Christian fiction read. I loved that the story didn't come across as preachy yet it showed pastors as actual people that mess up. I did have a problem with the lack of background information on Minister Dungy. I just felt as though something was missing. 3/3.5

The story, although it started out a bit slow to me. I ended up really liking the main character. He had a moral base and was not a 'super hero' type. That the main character decided to take a relationship slow and not appear sleazy or out for self, was applaudable.
