I found this book randomly in a bookstore not long ago and it looked like a promising read.
I embarked on Anne's teaching journey with the sense that I could relate to this story. There was a nostalgia to it. The dealings of a teacher have it's challenges and facing off against Alaska's winters built her into a woman with grit. Dealing with racism, education, snow, and mothering, this story has many themes and good lessons.
The last 50 pages gripped me. I could feel the pressure off the pages. I very much enjoyed this read!
This book is so CUTE. Well ok there are a couple of life or death situations but every good story needs those. This book is perfect for historical fiction, adventure, and a perfectly clean adorable romance!! Set in Alaska it is a great winter read with real depth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this is one of those books that if I could would be given special ranking because it is SO so timeless ❤️
