A re-read. Some of it I agree with, some I dont. I enjoy the idea of having philosopher kings as leaders who deprive themselves of pleasure with the sore focus on the good of the state. I like that we should all be assigned to what we are naturally good at and that we should all have an education in music. didn't like the prohibition of the interbreeding or mixing of different classes of people. Its something we have already seen in history played out with disastrous effects. My favourite part of this book has always been the myth of er, the idea that we choose our lives before they've even happened etc
