Inside Traitor

Rate this book
When the public turns against you, what options do you have? As Emma Pepper and her squad continue hunting down the Silencer, they begin to discover secrets that could completely derail the case. Who is the Silencer? Why did he kill who he killed? And is there more to the story than the police know? The more they study the Silencer, the clearer it becomes that not only is the squad dealing with a serial killer, they are dealing with a pro. He continues to evade forensic evidence and hide from the police in this police procedural series, but that’s not all that Emma has to deal with. Hiding under the prying eyes of her bosses, the squad and Emma feel like they’re being rushed to find the Silencer - or they may lose their jobs. Things only take a turn for the worse when a story breaks on the local news and the Silencer becomes a local hero, not a villain. What can the police do now that the public doesn’t want the Silence behind bars? Who leaked the story? And in the midst of all the drama, can Emma somehow find a way to uncover who the Silencer is before he silences her?

As the case moves along, dissention and bickering causes tension amongst the detectives. Then a possible break in the case leaves everyone stunned. This was a great second in the Silencer series. The action moves quickly and is well written to keep the readers attention. The ending had my eyebrows trying to nestle into my hairline and I cannot wait for book three.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and unbiased opinion of the tale.

Fascinating story

This is a great storyline and good character development. There are a few things that have me a little confused but I think that they will clear up. Full of suspense, dram and intrigue throughout this story.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story follows "Hunt Down" with Emma with assistance from Harper Storm attempting to find the "Silencer". They are still looking for information on the 1st killing. Emma's boss, Ken, is getting pressure from upstairs and he in turn is pressing the team for results. Shortly thereafter, they receive information that another body has been discovered and it seems to be the "Silencer's" work. When they get to the scene they discover that the room is a pigpen. One thing they learn is that the victim is also a journalist which was like the last one. They also have luck and find his laptop.

Back at the precint the team starts identifying what they know about the killer. Eventually they breakup with Emma and her group returning to the scene while Harper and her group barnstormed at the precent. Emma's group discovered a phot that may shed light as well as locating an individual that was fa friend of the victim. Meanwhile the crime scene investigators were able to break into the laptop where a discovery was made which was quite helpful.

To learn who the photo was and what information the laptop had which shed a light on what was going on, then you need to read this book.

WOW!!! Thriller!!! It was a page turner and the suspense like WHAT!!! I could not stop reading this book and I suck right in and I was at the edge of my seat. Emma and Harper was on the hunt for the serial killer but they was trying to figure out the connection from both victims. They were both journalist!! How strange was that!! But the head boss Ken is trying on leaned the higher powerful people on trying to solved this case like now before become to have more victims to come. But the press was making noise of saying that this serial killer was a vigilante and this does not sit very well for the police and him. But how do they knew that this serial killer was a vigilante was it a link within the police. Will they catch this serial killer or will he or she continue to keep on killing journalist. If you love crime thriller this book is for you trust you will be disappoint at all. I was not I enjoyed it !!! AMAZING!!!

Stevens is really on a roll with this new series. Inside Traitor is just the second book in the series, but the tension is already at a fever pitch! The detectives are working hard to identify "The Silencer" and bring him to justice before he can kill again. Emma, Harper, and her team are in danger, and the clues are piling up. It's looking more and more likely that the villain is someone from Emma's own department. This kind of reminds me of Stevens' first two series, The Shadowman Series and The Curious Series. Every episode leaves you on the edge of your seat, and it's clear that plotting and writing an episodic thriller series is much more difficult than writing standalone novels. Stevens is a true master of his craft, and you can really see that in this series. I can't wait to read the next one!

Book 2 in Silencer series. It takes up where they were working a case of a killed journalist when 48 hours later they are at a similar scene. Another journalist has been killed also in the same manner. Emma her team and Harper and hers have only found the common connection is thru are both journalist. Both told others they thought they were being followed. Unlike the first one this one’s lap top was left behind so they are going to look for info on it. Ken is being leaned on by the higher ups to get these solved. The press is killing them in fact the public now sees the serial killer as a vigilante this is not good. I love this series csnt wait for the next one. I received a advanced copy for a honest review

Yet another brilliant episode in this exciting new series.
Tensions start to mount and tempers begin to fray as pressure is exerted on the team to find the killer of two people, who is believed to be the serial killer known as the 'Silencer'.

This book is very well written with characters who in addition to being likeable, are portrayed as real people with all the baggage and flaws you would expect to find.

The more the tension mounted, the quicker I was drawn into this incredible book. With now - an unexpected twist, (though perhaps not so unexpected going by the title!) - a traitor in their midst.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Another short story in the series. At least the detectives investigating "The Silencer" learn a little more about the serial killer. As tensions mount, the detectives often bicker among themselves. The pressure is on from those in charge to solve the case and discover who "The Silencer" is before they kill someone else. Now on to the next book in the series to see if any more information is discovered.

I still wish books like these were a little longer. I don't mind them being a continuation in a series, but feel they are just too short.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

NYPD detective Emma Pepper and the team continue to hunt for ‘The Silencer’. The Silencer is a serial killer who has evaded capture so far. They are becoming a crowd favourite and them team is under pressure to solve the case. I love reading about the background work that is done to track a serial killer. The writer brings the team and killer to life. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

Interesting plot of her team trying to catch the killer, and told to do it quickly..
The media finds out and makes the killer seem like a hero.
Her team is caught in the middle, while they are uncovering secrets.
Secrets that never snould be revealed. A catchy plot readers will enjoy

In this second volume in this series the author ramps up the tension, the internal pressures & fighting and the mystery. The tension keeps the reader glued to each other as the story unfolds. The well-done writing keeps the reader guessing about each new revelation. I received an ARC and this is my honest review of this novella.

Inside Traitor-Book #2 in the Silencer Series-Is another stellar effort by B. P. Stevens. The characters and their relationships are further developed, and tension begins to increase. Will the "Silencer" ever be caught? A new suspect appears. Fun, fast, and captivating. An enjoyable read from page 1 to the end.

Suspenseful

B.P. Stevens has hit the nail on the head. This story has realistic, well-developed characters with bickering banter, yet they know how to work toward a common goal. When they put their heads together, they make progress in catching a serial killer. So many ups and downs in the story. I look forward to the next in the series.

I enjoyed this book it is very interesting to see how the police go about trying to solve a murder and what they have to do to get results. The main character are so interesting to see how they work together or not. But I still prefer that the murder is caught by the end of each book continued into the end book like this series. It works better if you have the whole series when they are put out like this so that you can continue to read the whole story.

Inside Traitor: A Gripping crime thriller (The Silencer Book 2), my fourteenth read from author B.P Stevens. An 82-page read that I finished it in an hour. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Things are finally starting to happen in this second in the series. A few unexpected twists and some startling reservations propel the investigation forward as the pace picks up. The characters become clearer as each inputs into the investigation. Looking forward to further developments.

This is the second book of the police series The Silencer. Emma and team try to find the Silencer but every lead goes nowhere. Someone is informing the Silencer of their movements. I would have liked a little more action in the book but quite readable and well set out.

Book 2 in this Silencer series. Emma's and Harper's teams continue to be stumped by the Silencer's killings. Now the press has presented him as a vigilante murderer. The pressure is on to get these crimes solved. It seems he might have inside help. From the police department? Future books will tell.
I am anxiously waiting.

I'm liking this series, can't wait for what's next, just like in the real world the villains became heroes not to far off from how things really are. Kinda sad. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily choose to reveiw.
