Jen Sawyer, drawn into a second encounter with the man who had violated her ten years earlier, struggles to save her own life and the lives of her children--fraternal twins who were the issue of the brutal union
I read this a few times in the 90s, in one of my Dad's old volumes of Reader's Digest Condensed editions. This is a creepy and suspenseful story, with a sick twist and disturbing antagonist. A woman named Jen Sawyer has to contend with a man who stalks her and kidnaps her twin children, intent on forcing all three of them to become his family.
I found it interesting how Jennifer deals with this seemingly bland-on-the-surface psycho, particularly given her past. Both she and the children handle their situation pretty well under the circumstances, showing bravery, courage and intelligence in dealing with an increasingly frightening madman.
