I'm the creator of the Kaira Renn fantasy series - a new urban fantasy packed with mystery, action, adventure and, above all, magic.

Set in The Society for the Preservation of Magical Artefacts, it follows the adventures of a young girl who has to learn magic and a lot of other things along the way! The series will contain five books.

I also write short thrillers under the pen name E.G. Ellory.

Witches’ Brew is the fourth book in the Sorcerer’s Tale series. The overall story of the Sorcerer’s Tale series is good, but sadly the writing makes it sort of hard to understand. This series could be amazing with better editing.

In this book, the Society army and the Bloodseekers the Society army is trying to get rid of by returning them to their original homeland journey through a puddle of cleansing, or cursed, or both, water hidden in Sarasei Lake. The results don’t seem to be what the Bloodseekers were expecting, and they certainly weren’t what the Society people were expecting.

There seem to be three or four interesting developments in this one. One is that Henry Blinn seems to be finally rising to reach his full potential. And there is the faintest suggestion that his actions may have earned his daughter Ava, who failed in her magical education in the previous series (Magic and Misdemeanours) a second chance within the Society. Another is that the fight with the Bloodseekers proves really dangerous, with many people being injured or killed, among them Casper Renn’s sister, Philomena, and Kerevenn, the Giant from Sad Souls who has been so helpful to other injured Society members. Not especially surprising is that Casper is the one to go to the Sioron and receive blind sight. Much more surprising is the normal human population of the city of Bibsley Corbett, where the Society has been hiding in plain sight for so many years. These people have probably always realized that the place where they live was a little strange, but now many of them are drawn into the streets to help the Society soldiers remove the Bloodseekers who seemed intent on staying behind. And along with them is Meyen Grayling, Jacob and Guppy’s mother, who has had her memory of magic erased. But she still has just enough memory of it left to lead a group of Bloodseekers trying to get to her on a merry chase through the mazelike corridors of the contracting Merrymopes Ice Cream Parlor.

It feels as if the tide has turned, but not everything has been resolved yet. I think there will be a fifth book to this series just like all the others.

It will help quite a bit if you have read R.A. Lindo’s other series set in the Society for the Protection of Magical Artefacts (S.P.M.A.) before reading this series, and the earlier books in the series before reading this book.

War between worlds

The SPMA warriors are preparing for a war of survival. At stake is not only the magical world but the world of the nonmagical. Even the above-ground residents of Bibsley Corbett know that something very serious is brewing.

The paranormal action is intense. The battles are fierce. What a series! I am not ready for it to end. Thank you, R.A. Lindo. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

This is the fourth book in the series and the author does not disappoint! He brings strong characters and an intriguing storyline. It's an intense paranormal story filled with action and fierce battles. It's well written with vividly painted scenes, moves fluidly and is a great addition to the series!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

This is an intriguing and intense fourth book in this awesome series. The world building continues to enthral and the characters continue to grow and develop as the fierce battles rage on and the stakes are raised in both the magical and non magical world. A gripping and thrilling storyline that draws you in and I look forward to the next book!

how many losses

Another horrible war—how many tolls will it take and will they win/lose/change. What will happen to all the Renns and Guppy/Jacob and their mom. So many others will show their true colors and it will take the next book to find out who wins and who loses.

R. A Lindo has written another excellent book in this series. This world and the characters he has created are so engaging and little treasures to the reader.
