Two years ago, Avery never could have pictured willingly living with the supernatural civilization that had attempted to kill her. Not to mention joining that society when its monarch is in absolute upheaval. Naturally finding herself in the middle of it all, Avery is still fighting to stay in one piece. That is with or without the Willow magic.

Nice way to end the series. It's a breath of fresh air that it didn't end like the typical YA novels. No marriage or baby. Whew! Thank you Ms. Sharper. Loved the series.

2020 re-read: This book was like reading it for the first time, because unlike the previous installments, I've only read this one once and barely remembered anything. Once again I'm lowering the original five-star rating, but this is genuinely a four-star-read still. I wish the grammar was a bit better, and the story a bit more thought-out in general, but overall, I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I decided to give this a re-read.
I didn't realize how much I missed these characters until I started reading this book. I love Avery and Mason. They are a perfect couple / team. I love the books where there is no one powerful or aggressive in a couple. In this book both Avery and Mason are a team. They are both equals, they fight together, live together and strong together. That's what I loved about this book / series.
This is the third book in the airborne saga. Mason and Avery have survived a dramatic event that threatened their lives. Now as moving on, the question is can their relationship survive the Harpie world? As usual, there is a lot of action, but the relationship is seriously tested.
I really enjoyed this series but I wasn't completely satisfied with the conclusion. There were also a lot of errors, typos as well as referring to people by the wrong name which made things somewhat confusing at times.
