What I like in this series is that the characters’ behaviour is not childish or immature, regarding their age.
I liked Parker and Riley’s story. Also, as my friend Beeg mentioned in her review, apart from romance it was also filled with sports action.
Moreover, the bond between all characters was amazing.
I would have liked a better development of the issues Riley was having with her despicable uncle. There was a very brief reference of the whole matter and in the end I didn’t get a closure.
I will definitely read the next part, Noah and Chloe’s story!

Finally: a true Sport and Romance book. One with actual sport and actual romance. (I’ve never understood why books are classified as Sport Romance when there’s not a single sport scene in sight. I’ve come across enough of those to warrant a shelf here in GR.)
So this one is a rare gem for me, because it’s also well written and the heroine is a bona fide wide receiver on their college football team. She’s gorgeous and tall and runs like a dream. Her confidence and talent is fascinating to watch through the eyes of her friends and fans. This author loves her heroine and it shows.
He’s their QB.
I adore their connection on and off the field. That, and the thoroughly thrilling sport scenes and lingo. I found myself reading some paragraphs over and over, so fascinated I was with it all.
Her character is so refreshing: no giggly girlie girl constantly crying woe-is-me heroine. She’s strong and hardworking, goal oriented, “don’t mess with me”, yet not abrasive at all. Has lots of issues that get her down, but she learns from her mistakes and strives to do better.
He’s God’s gift to women. A beautiful boy, inside and out.
He loves her.
Sees only her.
“I dropped my forehead to hers, tired of fighting the urge to touch her. “I don’t hide anything from you. I don’t hold back. Every part of me is yours for the taking.”
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Would’ve been 4 🌟 if not for some unfinished arcs I needed closure on and some plot conveniences towards the end.
Still, I’ll read it again just for the sport scenes and the worthy Hxh.

4.5 stars really, purely because I felt the ending was a little rushed to finish. But over all a good pallet cleanser and a quick read!
Also is Mac and Duke don’t get their own books in this series I might fight someone, cause I definitely need those in my life.

Nikki Hall delivers an awesome follow-up with some serious #girlpower to complement the sweet, multifaceted men she has given us with Soren, Parker, Noah, Mac, and the rest of the TU crew.
I can’t wait to see what comes next in the lineup (looking at you, Noah!) and see more of Soren&Vi, along with their adventures in the pro-football world.

Riley is used to all the comments so will happily rise above it to play college football. Being the only girl on a typically male team will always be a little difficult but she is determined to prove herself.
All Parker wants to do is lead the team to a championship and Riley is pretty damn good so might just be able to make that happen. But soon they find themselves drawn together off the pitch and that could be a recipe for disaster

This book was pretty good. I enjoyed the relationship and how cute they were together. The plot was a cliché but not bad. Some things weren’t really explained or wrapped up completely. Like I would have liked more of explanation of her uncle backing down and the same for the college. Like I would have like to “experience” her talk with them not a overview. Not to mention what about the professor that was basically harassing her. Some things were just left kind of incomplete. Overall it was very good. I enjoyed the book and it was a quick read. I didn’t have any major projects but it wasn’t super good. So it’s wasn’t amazing but it was good. So it’s around average but since I did like it I would say it was a little bit more than average. 3.5/5

I loved the characters and how different the mmc is compared to other sports romances. Dont get me wrong I love a good alphahole but the way the mmc is supportive and a general good loving guy made a nice change and made me love the relationship between them even more and also loved the secondary characters especially Mac.
I would have liked more on the issue with her uncle and how that was dealt with in the end and maybe an extended epilogue maybe 5 years in the future to find out what she actually decides to do.

I loved book 1 of this series, so I couldn’t wait for the next one. I could barley get through this, I kept having to come back and finish. I felt like it was the same thing being said over and over again just a different way. Also Riley’s biggest goal in life is to be taken seriously and show a woman can be in a male dominated sport and not mess around with her teammates. What does she do? Hooks up with a teammate, I would have much rather her date someone not on the team.

Oh my gosh 😍 this book is AMAZING. Forget 5/5 stars, this book is 10/10!! I’m not sure what Nikki is putting into her books, but they’re straight up ADDICTING in the best possible way. Like I didn’t realize this book was almost over until I got to the epilogue. And when I tell you I could have cried because I was so sad it was over. I loved these characters SO much. I loved their story even more. Gahhh, I don’t think I’ll ever get over these two. I know I said Soren and Vi were my favorite in my review of their book, but Parker and Riley narrowly beat them out for top spot.

Riley Jones is no stranger to adversity. She’s a strong, independent woman who also happens to be a kicka$$, talent football player. She’s determined to use her opportunity in a D1 school to prove her worth as more than just a publicity stunt and make her dad proud.
These two have chemistry from the word go. But of course, the school has implanted a no fraternization rule now they’ve added Riley to the squad. Even though the relationship is forbidden, Parker and Riley’s connection and chemistry extends far past the confines of football. They finally give into the chemistry and these two start a secret relationship. Riley has a lot to lose if they get found out, but she knows one thing for sure that she can’t lose Parker.

I loved everything about this book and these two. I won’t lie, Parker was kind of a dark horse in the last books. He stuck to himself, had a strong no dating rule, and was obviously a good friend and didn’t give a damn about the rules when helped Soren take down their old coach when push came to shove. I truly wasn’t sure what we were going to get from him. And wow, I loved him! Strong, serious football captain turned sweet, dirty-talking simp around his girl. I am SO here for it. Update: his aversion to rules still going strong. 😂
Riley was so strong. She held so much on her shoulders and faced so much alone. I loved watching her be excepted into the group with arms wide open. How supportive and respectful her team was to her from the get go was amazing to see and an ode to how talented she is.
As always, I loved Eva. She is the sassiest, always willing to be blunt and call it like she sees it, but has your back no matter what. She is the best friend that everyone wants but very few has. And Mac! He took in RJ from the word go and had her back no matter what (Still secretly hoping and praying and wishing and wanting those two together 🤞🏼).
Parker’s family is amazing, especially his mama! I loved how she saw right thru him from the get go. And Harper surprised me by becoming another hero in this book! Her directive of the narrative when it mattered along with Gina’s legal consult all on Riley’s behalf had me totally gushing over all the girl power. Not to mention the Hallmark movie moment when Parker, the team, and the entire freaking stadium were showing their support for Riley. 🥲
Also, even when the world came crashing down around them, especially for poor Riley, they stuck together. No third act breakup. They knew what they had was more important and found a way around it, together with the support of their family and friends. I’m always here for a good book with no third act breakup. I feel it shows just how strong the relationship is to face conflict and problems head first, hand-in-hand, together.
I could go on and on about the perfection of this book and the epilogues. I want so much more of these two!!! So. Much. More. But, even so, that’s always a tale tell sign of a good book.
Wow, not sure how Nikki keeps out doing herself, but if she keeps following suit I’m not sure my heart is going to be able to take Noah and Chloe’s story and then Mac’s story (which I secretly hope stars Eva 🥹). But I cannot wait to fall in love with their stories just like I did with Derrick and Nadia, Soren and Vi, and now Parker and Riley. Will one of these couples to come outshine these two?? Can’t wait to watch them try, although I don’t think these two all-star, champion caliber athletes lose very often, ESPECIALLY when they’re together. 😉

Okay took me a while to finish this book because of exams- so apologize for the late review.

Parker Shaw a quarterback and the captain of the team and Riley Jones a female wide receiver who joined the team. This is the second book part of the Wild Card series!
I like the book. I really do, it has tropes of:
- He falls first and hard
- Sports romance (football)
- No dating rule
- Secret dating
- Female wide receiver x quarterback
- Open door
- Somewhat forced proximity? (They're teammates)
- Finding family/Love
- NO Cheating or OW/M
Spice level: 🌶 🌶 /5

As for the review:
I really did enjoy the book, it was a nice read (with interruptions of exams), and I loved the characters. There is good communication throughout the book and between the characters so that's a plus, as well the character connected quickly. But that was the thing that I wished there was more like more getting to know each other or some angst because the moment they saw each other they felt a "zap" that they're both meant to be. Granted I enjoy that but they got together too quickly? I hope that makes sense because the sexual tension between Parker and Riley was high. As well I wished we got more insight or background on Riley's uncle and the inheritance money, cause that man kinda came out of nowhere (esp with the camera). I was expecting towards the end how she somewhat confronted the uncle in court or something and managed to cut ties with him- you know?
Okay aside from the critiques, I loved the characters. Parker has my heart- he was really gonna risk everything for her and did not care. GOSH, when he said "I don't want to be your friend. I want to be able to touch you. Kiss you. And (Cough) you" I DIED. I was like damn where can I get that?? He really understand Riley's struggles and was willing to do anything. Literally *Swoon*
Riley gosh that poor girl went through it all alone but found her friends/family. Although she was not poor- she's strong and not the typical small thin type either- she was hella athletic and fit. (Like wonder woman) I loved her character of the dynamics of a woman playing men's sports and proving to them that they can handle it. Is it realistic? IDK but I still love it LOL
Okay but I need an EVA BOOK. Cause she my favorite. literally, that girl is beyond carrying the books LOL- I love all her interactions and her character in general-

Front Runner – Wild Card #2 - Review

Review: I love a good college sports romance and I really enjoyed this book since the main FMC is. A college football player. In this second dual POV romance in the Wild Care series, we meet Riley and Parker. To say these two meets on poor terms is a huge understatement and I really enjoyed Mac’s commentary through their meet cute.
Riley is a young woman who loves football and plays the game phenomenally. I loved how Nikki included the contention about her placement being a publicity stunt but also included how supportive the team and coach were. The character development Riley goes through in this book is perhaps one that is felt in a lot of athletes who feel they will never level up and I really enjoyed how raw she made Riley at times. I think the friendship she has with Mac was my favorite bond outside of Parker in this book and I enjoyed his unrelenting optimism and jokes.
Parker on the other hand finds it hard to forget that Riley is just one of the guys. Since his dilemma picks up from what happened in book 1, I felt bad for him since he had so many things stacked upon him. My favorite parts with him were always entered around the way he talked to Riley and the support he gave her once he apologizes for his behavior when they met. I also really enjoyed how in awe he was of her skill on the field and did everything he could not to jeopardize her spot on the team.
Riley and Parker have an intense attraction. I loved all the sparks and heat that I felt between them. The buildup they had where they spent time becoming friends was my favorite parts of their chemistry since it could be felt off the pages and drags you into the romance. I also LOVE Noah, Mac and Eva’s input about the two f them and the inclusion of Soren, Vi and Soren’s cousin.
This was a great second book and I enjoyed how the two of them were very dimensional MCs. I also enjoyed having the tie in from older couples and books.
Rating: 9/10, RJ is the best!

Review: I love a good college sports romance and I really enjoyed this book since the main FMC is. A college football player. In this second dual POV romance in the Wild Care series, we meet Riley and Parker. To say these two meets on poor terms is a huge understatement and I really enjoyed Mac’s commentary through their meet cute.
Riley is a young woman who loves football and plays the game phenomenally. I loved how Nikki included the contention about her placement being a publicity stunt but also included how supportive the team and coach were. The character development Riley goes through in this book is perhaps one that is felt in a lot of athletes who feel they will never level up and I really enjoyed how raw she made Riley at times. I think the friendship she has with Mac was my favorite bond outside of Parker in this book and I enjoyed his unrelenting optimism and jokes.
Parker on the other hand finds it hard to forget that Riley is just one of the guys. Since his dilemma picks up from what happened in book 1, I felt bad for him since he had so many things stacked upon him. My favorite parts with him were always entered around the way he talked to Riley and the support he gave her once he apologizes for his behavior when they met. I also really enjoyed how in awe he was of her skill on the field and did everything he could not to jeopardize her spot on the team.
Riley and Parker have an intense attraction. I loved all the sparks and heat that I felt between them. The buildup they had where they spent time becoming friends was my favorite parts of their chemistry since it could be felt off the pages and drags you into the romance. I also LOVE Noah, Mac and Eva’s input about the two f them and the inclusion of Soren, Vi and Soren’s cousin.
This was a great second book and I enjoyed how the two of them were very dimensional MCs. I also enjoyed having the tie in from older couples and books.
Rating: 9/10, RJ is the best!

The new girl in men's College Football is the best thing to happen to the team and its captain
Riley is the newest member of TU's football team - she's a transfer in from out of state and needs to set an excellent first-impression for her teammates, and not only because she's the new kid in town - she's the first female player in the University's College Football history. Parker is team captain who manages to put his foot in his mouth upon first meeting Riley. Thankfully Mack the teammate with a Golden Retriever's personality was there to run interference, even though he had no idea that Riley was on their team. The two have an instant, inconvenient attraction to one another, leading the two to get off on the wrong foot. Forces outside the University would prefer to cut Riley off at the knees and she's going to need the help of her teammates in order to make it through Football season.
I loved this book. Riley is such a relatable character, paving the way for other women interested in playing college ball. She doesn't give up and despite the chip on her shoulder, she CAN let people in when pressed. Parker is understandably taken with Riley - once he gets past accusing her of being a "ball bunny" he discovers that the two have incredible chemistry on the field... and if they're smart, off the field as well. I don't hand out five starts lightly, but I legitimately look forward to reviewing each upcoming book in the series.
As this is primarily a review of the audiobook, it bears noting that at first I had a hard time getting into Vivienne Ferrari and Duncan Cole's narration. I think what stuck out to me at first was that Ms. Ferrari sounded older than Riley's implied 20-21 years. That said, once I got into the story I didn't hear Riley's voice as anythinig BUT Riley. So maybe it was an off-day for me when I’d started the book. Overall, the narrators are gifted voice actors and provide a clear and appropriately emotive delivery of the text. I highly recommend this series in audio, print, or ebook!

LOVED this new sports romance from Nikki Hall!
The second instalment from the Wild Card series, Front Runner is an interconnected standalone story surrounding the forbidden romance of Riley ‘RJ’ Jones, (the new wide receiver for TU football team) and Parker Shaw, the team’s star quarterback.
This was a very different read for me as I haven’t seen another sports romance where the FMC isn’t a tiny, delicate woman or curvy, feminine character who’s outside of the ‘sporting world’ so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But Nikki Hall delivered! Riley is strong and confident in her abilities as an outstanding athlete, yet also feminine and totally believable. I loved her interactions with Parker and his friends, both on and off the field. It was really enjoyable to read a story where both main characters are playing the same sport for the same team. Parker made me melt with his sweetness and protective side; yet I was so glad that their level of play wasn’t affected by the romance (which is something so typically seen in other books) - just because you’re in love, it doesn’t mean you suddenly lose all ability!
The story was well written and hooks you right into the middle of the group of friends. I love the supportive nature between them and it’s refreshing not to have angst between the main group, allowing you to fully get behind the relationships they develop. Mac and Eva in particular get my vote as awesome friends!
I couldn’t put this book down and finished it in just over a day. It was steamy in places, heart-warming, and funny. There’s was comfort from the returning characters yet something new and different brought in by Riley. I was fully invested in her story throughout. Girls can excel at sports too!
I’ll definitely be adding this book to my list of comfort reads, and I’ll be queuing up for the next instalment, Hard Hitter, as soon as it’s released. 5/5 would recommend this book.

Now for book 2 in @ #WildCard series.
After events that happened in Book 1 of the series the college needed some good PR. So they signed a female receiver. The guys had no idea that their new coach didn't pick her for the PR but because she is a damn good receiver. Problem is the school views her as a way to clear their image and don't want to take any risks of the opposite and puts in a rule where players can't date eachother. This didn't seem like an issue at first because both Parker and Riley are focused on Football and only football.
Parker and Riley are the perfect match both on and off the field. But what happens when their fears of letting the team down after last year's stunt and losing your dream you always wanted messes up both their game and their heads? Who will be there to set them back on the right path.
Watching the group welcome her with open arms and respecting the hell out of her made me so unbelievably happy. But what will happen if the new coach finds out? What about when the truth of who her father is? And the lies her Uncle tells? Will their secret stay a secret or will the whole world find out?
If you love men who respect women, secret dating, our secret spot, putting jerks in their place and selected family protection this is the book for you.

I was selected to be on Nikki Halls ARC team and Front Runner was my first book of hers. And let me tell you, this book did NOT disappoint. Front Runner is the second installment from the Wild Card series (interconnected stand-alones) which follows Riley 'RJ' Jones, (the new FEMALE wide receiver) and Parker Shaw, the team's star quarterback.

I love Parker & Riley so much! Parker and Riley start off of the wrong foot because Parker catchers her in the weight room with his teammate Mac and assumes she is a “ball bunny”. Jokes on Parker, she is his new wide receiver. Their connection was instant. However, the schools put a new fraternization rule (No romantic relationships between coaching staff and players or between players themselves).

It felt very insta love, but it was well done! Let’s just say they aren’t very good at following the rule and they finally agree to fake date. My man Parker falls first (swoon) and is so good to Riley! He’s sweet and protective but he also loves to dirty talk and “good girl”. Riley, is one strong badass FMC. She has to deal with the pressure of being a female athlete being used as a PR stunt, and deal with a horrible teacher interaction.
Two things I loved the most about this book: the found family. Mac and Eva are literally the best two friends there are. I’d die to be their friends. And secondly, NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP. Praise Jesus!
I can’t wait for Noah and Chloe’s story and (hopefully!!!) a Mac and Eva story!

This is book number 2 of the Wild Card series and focuses on Parker and Riley. This was my first read by this author but man it did not disappoint! I’m a little bit mad that I’m just now discovering her. This story was SO good! It hooked my attention from the very first sentence and definitely held it throughout the entire journey of Parker and Riley. Riley is the new wide receiver for the TU football team and is definitely determined to prove that she is more than able to hold her own in a male dominated field. Parker is the starting quarterback and captain for the team and he has always put football first. With a lot riding on this season due to events that happened the year prior, he doesn’t want anything to stand in the way of the team winning the championship this year. When they meet, things definitely take a turn for the both of them. The connection and attraction between them was instant and they both felt it right away but tried fighting the connection until they just couldn’t anymore. I loved watching their journey with each other but also in them both reaching for their goals. They had some obstacles they had to go through to get to their HEA but their love for each other couldn’t be denied and nothing was getting in the way of their happiness. It was so nice to see the great friendships they had and how they had each other's back no matter what. This was such a great story and a great addition to the series! I will definitely be adding this author to my list of favorite authors.

A Compelling Tale of Forbidden Love and Athletic Dreams
While Front Rummer delivered a satisfying read with well-developed characters and engaging dialogue, I found a few areas where the pacing could have been adjusted. The rapid-fire connection between Parker and Riley, though enjoyable, felt slightly rushed. I yearned for more exploration of their individual backstories and a deeper dive into the complexities of their growing relationship.
The introduction of Riley's uncle and the inheritance plotline added an intriguing layer, but I would have appreciated more depth and resolution to this subplot. A courtroom confrontation or a more definitive closure would have provided a more satisfying conclusion.
Despite these minor quibbles, Parker and Riley's undeniable chemistry and their unwavering support for each other made them a captivating pair. Parker's unwavering dedication and his willingness to risk everything for Riley were particularly heartwarming. Riley's strength, resilience, and determination to excel in a male-dominated sport were inspiring.
The inclusion of Eva as a prominent character was a delightful surprise. Her witty banter and unique perspective added a refreshing dynamic to the story.

4.5 Star Sweet Sports Read
I loved how strong Riley was throughout the book, taking on double standards and sexism in male-dominated sports. She and Parker have an instant attraction, despite Parker's poor first impression. Riley is built for college football, and Nikki mentions her height and structure as things Parker finds attractive and I liked that there wasn't any moments of her wishing she was more feminine or more petite from either Riley or Parker. Both saw her stature as the asset it is to play football at a high level and for Parker, the way she looked made her incredibly sexy in his eyes. (The dance scene was one of the hottest ones in the book imo.) I also liked that Riley wasn't a Mary Sue. She made mistakes on and off the field, but had a work ethic instilled in her to make her strive for more almost to the detriment of her budding relationship. Parker was a quick change from I'm never dating to being the one to push the relationship forward.
If you've read Game Changer or Rule Breaker you know what to expect, and Nikki delivers. Sports moments, sweet moments, and spicy moments all mixed into a college romance. (If you haven't read Game Changer or Rule Breaker, you should! Each story can stand alone but there are recurring characters who make cameos.)
I would have liked to learn more about why the professor was so against Riley, but otherwise all points did come to a satisfying conclusion. The epilogue helps set up the next book in the series for silent giant Noah and D's bratty sister Chloe.

This is the first book I have read by this author and Nikki Hall has gained a new fan. I will definitely go back and read the first book since I somehow managed to begin this series on book two. I apparently missed that memo and was just so excited to read Front Runner. I love when books in a series can be read as standalones, however when read together can provide an overall better experience. I have read many books in the sports romance genre, but this one is my absolute favorite. Nikki did a wonderful job writing this book - the plot was great and the characters were amazing. Her delivery was perfect and kept my attention throughout the entire book.

Ooohhhhhhhhh well THAT happened!!
I want I want I want…a friend like Eva 🤣 she is like a little pocket rocket of fun.
There is so much to love about this book, and that before we get the the main couple!! Mac is ❤️, Noah is a broody dynamo and it was fab to see the previous couples come back (as well as Harper…any news on her story 🤔)
So on to the main squeeze…
Riley is amazing and such a powerful character. It’s been a long long time since I’ve read a book with a character that just breaks the mould. So strong in the face of the glass ceiling and the boys club all rolled into one. I loved how the story built their romance and eventual relationship, they were absolutely all in and so self aware of themselves, the risks and the need they had for each other.
Parker is total boyfriend goals, so in tune with Riley’s needs, more so than even Riley sometimes and so secure in himself and his place in the world. The confidence with the depth to back it up totally did it for me.
The storyline was well developed, though I did hope the uncle thing would go further…though there was still a lot going on. Also…the humanities teacher, an interesting addition to the storyline and as a tool to achieve progress in the main story it totally worked but it felt like there was a lot more mileage in that storyline that went…nowhere.
Despite the above this was still a most fun and engaging read, bring on ALL the books..can’t wait for Chloe and Noah.

Riley and Parker are a force together, and I’m not just talking about the power they carry on the field. Though they couldn’t deny their inhibitions and are forced to keep their relationship private, their chemistry was undeniable, but somehow still under the radar. I would love to see where Riley goes in her future, whether it’s going into the NFL draft or inspiring a new generation to chase their dreams and break stereotypes. I really loved how Riley was still a girl’s girl, even if she couldn’t relate to the societal norms of being girly due to her upbringing.
As is usually the case, Riley‘s ghost of her past are back to haunt her just when everything seems to be working out. Though it is not the only conflict of the story, this problem arrives, is left unspoken for a few chapters, and then briefly tied off by the end of the story. I loved how Parker’s family and friends were so willing to help her out, but it came off as a meager resolution as a means to get it (the problem & Riley’s story altogether) over and done with.
If you enjoy football romances, a strong female lead, and can handle a little spice, this book is for you! I will definitely be reading this authors other stories ❤️🔥

I loved how Parker’s family and friends were so willing to help her out, but it came off as a meager resolution as a means to get it (the problem & Riley’s story altogether) over and done with.
If you enjoy football romances, a strong female lead, and can handle a little spice, this book is for you! I will definitely be reading this authors other stories ❤️🔥
tropes: enemies (for like 2 chapters? barely but there’s tension for sure - you can cut their tension with a knife don’t get me started on this!) to lovers, forbidden love, forced proximity (teammates)

I read this book earlier this year, so having the opportunity to listen to it with Vivienne Ferrari and Duncan Cole narrating in duet was unexpected, but definitely something I'm grateful for.
After the first book, Parker has stepped into the role of captain and starting quarterback, and he's determined to see his team make it through the playoffs. We also get to meet Riley, a new transfer and wide receiver for the team. Their first meeting isn't ideal, with Parker thinking that Riley is somewhere she isn't supposed to be, but then he finds out that she's his new team mate.
There's definitely an attraction between the pair, but they're determined not to act on it (due to TU's rules), but when they do, it is worth the wait, and both narrators play that perfectly. I enjoyed the fact that there was discussion over the fact that as a woman in sports, Riley had to work twice as hard to get only a sliver of recognition that the rest of the team did. Even when the scandal happened, these two stayed together because they both knew what they had was far more important - even when given the option, Riley shot it down so that they could handle it together.
I'm already planning on going back and listening to Soren and Vi's story, and I hope that we get to see others in the series in audio form soon.

Parker and Riley ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely loved this book. The unique plot pulled me in from the start and I devoured the book. Nikki Hall just keeps raising the bar with this series. Every book gets better and better. Parker and Riley were the epitome of the perfect couple, beautiful, similiar interests, caring and successful. I loved them, the tension between them gave me goosebumps and the slow burn and buildup to when they finally gave into their desire for each other was exciting. Together there were electrifying . Nikki Hall definitely has the right formula for swoony male characters! I loved how Parker did not hesitate and went after Riley, he was so caring and supportive and of course sexy as hell. This series is all about the fierce and independent female characters and Riley was that and so much more, she was dominating in a typically male sport and aside from her fears of not being taken seriously she stood by her love for Parker and did not give up on him when things got difficult. I adored their love and commitment to each other.
As usual Mac and Eva brought a lightness and humor to the book. I loved them and Parker's bada$$ mom as well as Harper. These side characters add so much more to this series.
I am enjoyung this series and I'm so glad I took a chance with this new author. I am not disappointed and can't wait for Chloe and Noah!!

Okay so first things first I love the character of Riley! I love the passion, the strength, and the broken barriers she carves as a woman on a college D1 football team. This as a potential event is amazing and I loved the details that Nikki put towards making this character someone girls would look up to. 💕 But also her determination, and dedication to image and the showcase around the double standards faced is poignant.
On top of that I also love Parker, he is kind, caring, and willing to throw everything aside for the women he’s fallen for. Honestly their overall dynamic and connection is fabulous! Their sneaking around and pretending they were not involved helped to build that steamy romance we all love and Parker sneaking into the women’s locker room … hmmm 🫣🔥🔥 The other team members and characters were a great addition to the novel and pushed their story but also the support bled through the pages.
Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot and look forward to the continuation of the Wild Card series with Hard Hitter later this year. The first chapter between Noah and Chloe! 😘

Nikki Hall I loved this story so much. It had me hooked from the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down.
Parker Shaw was not looking for any distractions. He was focused on football. Nothing was going to mess with his game this year. Until he meets his new receiver Riley. They might have started on the wrong foot when he calls Riley a ball bunny.
Riley is just trying to play football. She doesn’t want any complications. Being the only girl on the football team was enough of a distraction. That was until she met Parker Shaw. He was about to become the best thing to happen to her other than football.
The sparks between Riley and Parker will have you hooked. They are such a cute couple even thought they had to do it in private.
I fell in love with this friend group. They are all so supportive and caring. They truly looked out for each other. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
