It’s a useful read I guess, worth the time skimming through it. More like a blog than a book. Boringly repetitive, but also informative. More insight into what the interviewer’s takeaways from these questions are would have been useful. More insight in general would be nice; it feels incomplete as is.

It just gives examples of very generic answers to common questions. It would be better if it went in-depth about why one answer would be better than another, or helped the reader to develop some overall thought process or strategy around interviews.

The idea of organizing common behavioral interview questions by skill and trait is promising. However, this book’s example responses are overly simplistic. While they may serve junior developers well, they fall short for candidates aiming for leadership roles. The stories lack inspiration and offer little more than what can be found on generic interview prep websites.
