This book came to me as a recommendation for books with primal play, and I think the author did a great job portraying it. Not only was the spice exhilarating and steamy, the detail placed in aftercare, safe words, and consent was so important. This was a lovely story, and on top of the super steamy moments, there was a lot of tenderness and sweetness amongst all four characters.
With four different men involved in Harper's story, it was interesting watching different relationships form with each one. When Brady, Rick, and Trey meet Harper, he's so closed of and thinks he's just looking for a fun time. It appears that each man becomes enamored with him and forms their own special bond with him, and by the end of the summer, I wasn't sure how any of them would be able to say goodbye. Although the third-act drama was somewhat expected given what we know about Harper's past, I loved how it brought the main characters as well as their tight-knit community together. I love a good found family story!
If you're looking for something steamy, light, and an all-around fun read Four Play is an excellent option!
I chuckle against his skin. "No, you're not," I agree, squeezing my arms around his chest. "You're a little baby lamb, sweet and succulent. I'm going to eat you whole." He groans and goes a bit limp against me.
I laugh again. "You want that, don't you? Sweet boy?"
