Time stole from everyone, except Brianna Collins. She learned from a young age how to get what she wanted, especially since everyone around her had nothing. She came from a nowhere town, at a nowhere school, with a nowhere background. Twenty years after high school, she built a billion-dollar company and became somebody. Only this, no one knows who she buried to get there. No one but her brother and their former high school circle, all itching to redeem themselves from time. Brianna has everything she could ever dream of, everything but her brother's health. And the one thing he asks for is a chance to reunite the group in their favorite spot. To truly bury the past with one final goodbye. But the mountains back home have a different plan. A plan to trap them in time with no way out.
I enjoyed the characters, the story, and the plot. But I had a hard time with the mistakes throughout the book. There were grammar, punctuation, and even mixing up of the characters in some areas. This was disappointing because this book deserved a great editor to catch these things.
I do think that the book could've given the characters more background and personality. I felt like in some areas, it lacked the background we needed to truly see that the main character loved her brother as much as she did. It felt so out-of-character when she wanted to hug her brother tightly and do so much for him when a lot of the time, she seemed to think family's a burden. I feel like if we were painted a picture of them growing up close, this wouldn't have felt odd as a reader.
Spoilers:
The ending left me a bit perplexed because my mind is thinking whether it was a figment of his paranoia all along or whether he killed everyone before the trip? Or did everything happen how it was laid out? I'm not sure.
Overall, I did enjoy the plot and would read another book from this author.

I really appreciated the story and the plot. The end twist was amazing and I think the story went along really great. The mystery and mystical air to this story was so captivating I finished in two days!!
However, the characters felt a little one dimensional and lacked complexity and nuance to me. Female characters were described in great detail physically, but when it came down to showing us their personalities the author falls flat. I think there is a way to write a strong powerful woman with flaws without making her inner thoughts be “that bitch” or “i will destroy that bitch”. The main character is unlikable, and I understand that that is the point, but everything she was thinking/feeling was described to us in a very superficial way. I feel like all characters could’ve been developed more.
I appreciate the work this author has given us, and I hope to read more stories from him soon!
Let me start off by saying I haven't been in a reading mood. Not at all. Even the SJM book I am currently reading in the Throne of Glass series isn't enough to keep my attention, that's how far I've fallen in my desire to read.
However, I read this book in 3 days. Yes. 3 days.
The main character is a savage and she makes me laugh and fear her at the same time. The twists and turns of this book are something out of a movie and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's such a good quick read for anyone and the amount of shock I experienced is honestly unmatched. And the end....the END.
I truly am so happy I read this book. Now I am looking for more books like this to read to continue this reading high I have because this was better than any recent mystery thriller movie/show I've watched and I was so entertained reading this. If you give this a read I promise you won't be disappointed!
I wanted to like this book. I came across it on TikTok and wanted to support a person’s dream of being an author- for that I have no regrets. However the book itself was not something I would recommend. There were several grammatical errors that were distracting. I would have liked to see more character description to call each person out as an individual but eventually they all started talking the same. At a certain point things started unfolding very rapidly and I don’t feel that characters were given the time to amply process them. It’s like they would be thrown for a loop and over it a few sentences later. I persevered because the story idea itself was interesting and I wanted to see how it ended (no one posted online). I think that lower reading level adolescents might enjoy it but it is a difficult read for anyone who tends to scrutinize their books.
And for those of you who may be like me and just want to know how it unfolds, here you go:
*SPOILERS*
After Briana orchestrates the trip for the Fab 5 to return to Lookout Mountain one last time, they find themselves traveling back in time to the days after prom as the adolescent versions of themselves due to a freak storm and mysterious cave.
They all die. Caleb runs into a logging truck at high speeds after trying to chase down and kill Briana. Ryan is stabbed by Abs in her failed attempt to kill Briana. Abs is struck by a semi after another failed attempt to kill Briana. Cole is thrown off a cliff ledge by a boulder after trying to save Briana. Briana dies to a pack of coyotes and one “unholy coyote”. Which I also was not a fan of considering it was not talked about the whole story except for the one reference of Briana seeing something on that first trip up the mountain.
I also don’t feel we got complete closure at the end. My guess is that Cole has some kind of split personality or schizophrenia. He shot Amelia after she was hit over the head. Shot on purpose? On accident? How did the time travel work? Is it one timeline or a multiverse?
I could go on, but I won’t. I think this author has potential if they continue to write but it would have been much better if properly vetted by peer readers and an experienced publisher.

I have had a really hard time reading lately because nothing has been really keeping my attention. I saw this book shared on TikTok and wanted to give it a try. I actually really liked the story in this book, I enjoyed getting to know the main character, and I didn’t anticipate the ending..which was a fun surprise. The author tells the story well, enough for me to actually hate one of the characters and hope that they didn’t make it to the end of the book. I think this book would have a much higher rating if the editing process was taken more serious. I tried not to let it bother me at first, but it was sort of distracting. I hope they are able to correct this in the near future, and I’m sure when they do, the book will do so much better!
This book had a great plot, plenty of twists and turns. Characters woven nicely throughout, and it kept you on the edge of your seat. However, the spelling errors, grammar and the fact the editor/editors didn't catch them is sad. I would have rated this a 4/4.5-star book easily if it had not been for the errors throughout. Miss spelled words, words missing, run on sentences without punctuation, punctuation wrong or misplaced throughout the entire book. If it wasn't for that it would be highly by many I am sure. The author did amazing work with the story telling and fact checking before writing the book. Hope he writes another novel, and they edit the book before printing.
I just finished the book, and I loved everything about it. The story was interesting enough to grab my attention, the suspense kept me going til the end, and the characters in this book were fantastic and making me love (and hate lol) parts of their personalities and individual stories. I can honestly see this book becoming a Netflix movie or mini series. I hope to be able to read another book by this author in the future!
Yes this book needed more editing but I found the story to be unique and compelling. There were lots of twist and turns that I didn’t see coming and the last 100-150pages had me at the edge of my seat.
Didn't finish - too many typos, grammar, and format errors to keep me in the story. Even the main character's name was misspelled as "Breana" instead of Briana.
I found the storyline interesting, but this book desperately needed an editor. Way too many spelling and grammatical errors and a big plot hole towards the end left it lacking.
I read an ARC file of this book, and let me tell you...IT WAS AMAZING! I loooooved the story! The characters! The setting! Ahhhh!!! It's set in the 90's and present time. There's suspense, time travel, paranormal, hauntings, psychological trauma, and more! Brianna Collins, the main character, is a bad ass female protagonist who has it all but her brother's mental health, and she would do anything for him, including reunite with their former high school circle back home. BUT thing is, when they were in hs, they hid a murder and now this group is being haunted one by one. It's literally insane! It's such a fast pace read! Great writing! Definitely worth the read! 5/5, 10/10, LOVE IT
