Ever since Pod ran to the village atop the mountain, he’s been hiding from his past. And for the longest time he’s believed he has succeeded in hiding that pain deep inside.
That is until he falls for the beautiful yet mysterious Titan.
Titan comes from a life he isn’t a fan of. And after his father’s murder, Titan inherits not only his father’s wealth, but his father’s business and the darkness that comes with it. While he wants desperately to love Pod, Pod isn’t interested, and Titan’s new life could destroy both of them.
But what are they going to do when those demons find them anyway?
Here we have SusuKhaa's take on a Thai mafia BL and I enjoyed it. While this will never be my favorite genre, I liked the characters and the darker plot-it gets very murdery in this one.
Not only did we have our MCs dealing with the criminal underworld, but there were layers of childhood trauma and insecurities to overcome. Titan and Pod also had a lot of people gunning for them. As usual, there was a strong supportive group of friends to help these two get through the worst of the trials standing in the way to their happy ending.
It was a long road to get these two knuckleheads to finally talk everything out and make their relationship official. This story definitely lacked the sweet, fluffy relationship moments I have come to expect from this author, but it was, as always, a good read.
I love SusuKhaa's books. IYKYK. The bad boy, Titan, is really bad against his will. But he has inherited an evil empire. The good boy, Pod, is messed up. Pod's past keeps him from being with Titan, but it does not keep Pod from wanting Titan and vice versa. The tension is taut, and the s3x scenes are HOT AF. Titan (At the Edge of His Pillow) is my favorite of her books so far. If you like her writing, you'll love this book.
