-Michael is exploring the southern coast of Alaska, looking for gold deposits and having a great time being free, when he stumbles across a construction project in the very valley he is planning to explore. Finding it occupied, he detours to another location, seeking to stay as far from other people as possible.
Several days later, a massive earthquake erupts, leveling the major Alaskan cities. With the help of an unsuspecting, and not so friendly, geology student, he must find a way out of the tangled web they are both now in and somehow stop the newest generation of madmen trying to take over the world once again.-
