The Odic Force: Letters on Od and Magnetism

Rate this book
The odic force is a vital energy or life force that permeates all living plants, animals, and humans. The author was the first person to approach this force scientifically, having conducted hundreds of careful experiments. He began to work with people who were sensitive enough to accurately detect the polarity of magnets because they could see it. These people could also see the human aura—an energy field connected to the human body, plus detect an energy-related color spectrum that was directly linked to metals and minerals. He wrote this book as a simplified version of a more advanced text, making it easy for those who wish to grasp the subject.

Baron Dr. Carl (Karl) Ludwig von Reichenbach (full name: Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Reichenbach) (February 12, 1788 – January 19, 1869) was a notable chemist, geologist, metallurgist, naturalist, industrialist and philosopher, and a member of the prestigious Prussian Academy of Sciences. He is best known for his discoveries of several chemical products of economic importance, extracted from tar, such as eupione, waxy paraffin, pittacal (the first synthetic dye) and phenol (an antiseptic). He also dedicated himself in his last years to research an unproved field of energy combining electricity, magnetism and heat, emanating from all living things, which he called the Odic force.
