We enjoyed this one, and my 7yo is now an avowed Geronimo Stilton fan - we've already picked up another of the series at the local library. The catalog there tells me this series has well over 50 volumes in it, so we are unlikely to actually buy them - however, we will likely continue to borrow them as long as he enjoys them.

An Italian writer, Elisabethi dami had written “the journey through time”. One day Geronimo stilton got a letter but there was no name who had written it, but it was a big map, which is written in it, but in the last sentence it told that we will reach into an amazing adventure. Then Geronimo followed the instruction and he jumped into a dumpster and found himself infront of professor von volt who is a scientist , professor told that this was his new secret lab. He told that he jad invented a new thing and he showed a time machine which was named mouse mover 3000. Geronimo was so amazed. He invited Geronimo and his family to come for a trip in time machine, Geronimo agreed. Then he called trap and thea . then they reached there and professor gave them a milkshake made French Roquefort cheese from 1958 which is very expensive and also gave a time travel survival manual. Then he told that they will travel in prehistoric period – to find out why dinosaurs extinct, then ancient Egypt – how the great pyramid of Giza was built, then medieval England – to uncover the secret of king Arthur and his court. Geronimo entered & asked trap to pass some things he throwed it to the time machine and a blue fog come and the time machine landed in the Jurassic period. Geronimo was scared and alone. And he saw so many dinousaurs and enter the mouse mover safely. Then it began to start and landed in cretaceous period. Then suddenly the mouse mover 3000 vanished and Geronimo got a triceratops egg and it opened , Geronimo named it tops, then someone tickled Geronimo it was trap there were professor, thea , Benjamin, Geronimo was very happy, professor told that he can recall the mouse mover 3000. Then Geronimo told to join the group of triceratops, he joined and the other triceratops accepted him. Then Geronimo and professor helped a Quetzalcoaatlus who was stuck in a thorny bush and it launched to the air. Then Geronimo and trap saved themselves from a group of little dromaeosaurus. And Geronimo was in front of a tyrannosaurus rex and he was saved by a bridge and the bridge fell down because of the weight of t-rex ,but he was in a other side of the bridge then he saw the Quetzalcoaatlus he had saved the Quetzalcoaatlus let Geronimo to climb in back of him he climbed the Quetzalcoaatlus reached him in the other side of the bridge. Then Geronimo and professor went in search of algae, breadfruit, snail, mollusk, sturgeon au gratin, sweet and sour palm hearts, cheesy fig that was in trap’s food menu. Then Geronimo gave all the ingredients and ate the food. But at the 5 in the morning the earth began to shake and there comes a rain of meteoroids and they found how the dinosaurs got extinct.rhen they headed to Egypt, they reached, they were in 1280 BC at 5.47 am in Giza. Then they wore Egyptian dresses. Ra is the sun god of Egyptians. Then after sometimes the grand vizer, noble mousehotep and arrested them because they felt that they were tomb thieves and they arrived at royal palace of Memphis and they saw pharaoh who had worn two crowns one white and one red, the symbol of upper and lower Egypt. And queen nefertari with the little baby moses in her hand.then professor told that they were travelerers from afar. And trap showed them magic but they were odered to give to the crocodile but in the way a maiden came and took them into a crocodile god statue’s inside it was nefertari’s private chameber and she told to escape from here and gave trap a ring and told this will protect you and made them climb into a ship and saved them but the boat began to sink to the the nile and they swam and saved their life from hippos and crocs and they landed in a shore and little girl at the same age of Benjamin arrived and she told that she was the one who had throwed the throwing stick to geronimp’s head and she said sorry and she invited them to her house were she, riri-rat , pa-rat, ma-rat, lived. And ate dried fish, fresh cucumbers, fava beans with garlic, barley cake made with sesame oil , goat cheese, and ripe, juicy figs. It was the best night, and Geronimo told that they will leave tomorrow morning. So pa-rat told that you will need a guide so the town gossip, chatty al mousi told, my brother’s cousin’s uncle’s maid’s niece’s scribe’s sister’s embalmer’s grandfather is a tourist guide in memphis , his name is bab beot. You’ll find him in the mummy’s café.then they make a boat and in the time of leaving riri-rat gave Benjamin the throwing stick and a kiss, then they leaved. Then they reached mummy café and bab beot told his other names also and they reached giza and saw pyr a midion , pharoah’s grand vizior crying he told his sad story he wanted to solve a puzzle otherwise he will be food for crocodiles the puzzle was “what animal walks on four feets when he’s young, on two feet, when he is an adult, and on three feet when he is old”. Professor told the answer when we are small we walk in four feet, when we are adults we walk in two feet and when we are old we will walk with a stick it is three feet. He thanked the all and professor asked him how the pyramid Giza was built he told the secret and they headed to the time machine and headed to the ancient Britain. When they reached, they wore a dress and professor gave a copper coin for buying a dinner, silver coin for buying a sword and a gold coin for buying a horse. Professor told that they were in Camelot, Britain. But they were wrong it was not Camelot it was flea flickers castle, they were in the wrong place. But they entered a man called Cyclops mc mouse told that the flea flicker and the flea flicker junior is same he will chop your head when you will not entertain them. All went and trap started telling jokes Geronimo told a poem professor sing a melody and trap saved a little servant boy by distracting flea flicker. His name was crouton. And trap gave flea flicker gorgonzola cheese and flea flicker made trap his castles new cook and told to make gorgonzola cheese for knights who are coming. The knights also came. And Geronimo saw a man very upset it was sir ratford of cheddarshire his daughter, mousilda was prisoned in the dark scary black castle, in black castle there were gigantic leaches, fir breathing dragons, and there the black knights dumps boiling hot fondue on whoever tries to get in. and there comes winstom wickedpaws the black knight of drake mudrat the black castle’s king and told that Geronimo cannot defeat drake mudrat.then Geronimo headed to black castle scarily and somehow Geronimo saved mousilda and she gave a handkerchief with the smell of gorgonzola. And the competition of selecting a king arrived and the first competition was to shoot arrow and it’s winner was thea and she owned the golden arrow, the flea flicker junior was very angry. And crouton wants to take part to the competition so Geronimo gave him a golden coin for buying a hirse and crouton told that he has seen a sword for him and it is stuck in a rock when they went to the town and saw it and flea flicker junior came and told that that sword belongs to him and it is Excalibur and he tried to take it but it didn’t work all the knight and flea flicker also tried but it didn’t work and last crouton tried and he took it and merlin told years passed since our king uther pendragon left us forever, but today we are gathered here to crown his legitimate heir, his son, Arthur. Yes, crouton was Arthur and he was the son of uther pendragon. And Arthur walked towards his castle with the little mouselet with blonde braids gazed, maiden Guinevere and they will be the future king and queen and merlin named the castle Camelot. Geronimo, professor, thea , Benjamin , trap returned home in the mouse mover 3000 because it’s batteries was low. And after reaching trap told geronimo totake his bag from the mouse mover he entered and trap clicked a button of the remote control of chronometer but geronimo was not worried he was very excited that were would he reach.

This book is part of the first series i have read and its called the journey through time. Its the second book of the series called Back in time. This book takes Geronimo and his friends. These three adventures were fun filled and packed with crazy facts which helped me understand what really happened in those times. This time he used a different time machine called The Rodent Re-locater which was created by Professor Von Volt. This book just showed how things were done in those times which had some funny bits along the way. My favourite character in this book is Professor Von Volt because he has a very forgetful mind and he forgot to tell Geronimo what the red button was for which in the end trap pressed and guess what happened well I'm not going to spoil anything.I rate this book a 4 because it wasn't an interesting book with a good plot it was filled with facts but not a great plot and i would definitely pick the first book over this . My favourite part in this book was when trap presses the red button because it was so funny that Geronimo's face turned greener than any green thing you could imagine.

His book is Back in Time by Geronimo Stilton the book was very interesting for me to read I love Geronimo stilton series and is my favourite author and this is my favourite book to read to read I like it so much because it's back in time and there's tons of spaceships and stuff that he has to find any has to go back in time to find this thing that he has to do is one of his missions and he has to do that and come back in time to finish his mission If he doesn't finish the mission she will not be back ever again and then when he got home he partied at his work.DAVID LOGAN

This is a good book but more geared for kids but still a fun read. Its about a mouse that time travels back to places like Rome Etc where he and his family get to experience the culture and make friends with the people's of those times and even help them with problems. Kids will like this one especially if they are interested in mild history and adventure

The Journey Through Time series has always been one of the top Geronimo Stilton books according to me. It is just as I have always wanted to know about the history of places, that the book has attracted me more than Heromice or Micekings and can only be topped by the Kingdom of Fantasy series. The book is a very scintillating one as Geronimo is approached by Professor Von Volt to travel back in time to the Roman civilization, Mayan Civilization and France during the time of the Sun King. The book is very well-paced and easy to understand for kids and has that jolly humour that every kid would love. As I write the review, I think of a minor flaw in the book that makes it different form the comics, the book lacks a objective. The whole point of time-travel was research, I get that, but that's not that attractive to children who don't understand the importance of that; they would easily be enticed towards the comics as it is about stopping the Pirate Cats.

That said, the book was still fabumouse and very awesome and if you like the style of Geronimo Stilton books, you should pick this up.

This is the second journey thru time. Read it only after you read the first journey through time.
Geronimo and his family (including my favourite character Benjamin) go to the Age of the Sun King in the Maya Empire in Mexico, and also go to Rome during the time of Caesar.

Geronimo drinks hot pepper and he goes on fire. Mangal.
This story does not have any bad guys, they just go through time and wander around. Geronimo goes into a chariot race and wins it because he treated his horses well.

The chariot race was my favourite part of the book, because it was cool.

I read this with my 7yr old boy. It was a good trip through time to visit Rome, Maya, and France. I appreciated the details on culture, societal hierarchy, and clothing - to add educational value to the fictional elements of the story. The graphics helped my son stay engaged and interested in the story, as they do with Geronimo Stilton books. My kiddo can't wait to get the next book in the series.

Geronimo Stilton books are great transitions from easy readers to chapter books with the illustrations and colorful text that can be illustrated to denote the meaning of words.

I have used this book for several multilingual learners learning English as a second language, and they have loved it (high 2nd grade reader to 4th grade reader).

The characters are delightful mice time traveling across the world, and it builds good background knowledge of ancient Rome.

As a 1st grader i gained a lot of imagination and in the book they time travel and after that book thought maybe one day there will be time travel and that the future will be filled with technology.
