Oh, You Only Have One?!: A 30-Day Devotional Through Secondary Infertility

There are not many resources out there for women struggling with secondary infertility. Most people don't even know what it us! What’s your story? Maybe you have one child and have not been able to get pregnant again. Maybe you have been able to get pregnant, but have had a miscarriage or several. Maybe you were able to have several children and your infertility has come into your life in a later season. Our definition of “loss” is going to be multifaceted and this is not a book about miscarriage and the loss of life. That is a very specialized topic that deserves the utmost respect and sensitivity. There are many support groups and resources specific to pregnancy loss. In my writing, humor, sarcasm and insight, it is never my intention to belittle, minimize or dismiss anyone’s feelings. I write from my life and am simply sharing with you in an effort to unite our hearts over a shared experience.

I am exhausted of women feeling like they can’t talk openly about this topic. I am tired of having to sugar coat my feelings and thinking and put a “Christian” spin on it to assure the world that I am not backsliding while I struggle. So, I am going to stay true to my faith, be respectful and reverent to my God, who is in control, and write candidly.

I will be honest and ‘go there’. Someone has to. Wanna come? You’re already here so you might as well.
