Metzger has been a campus minister at the University of Delaware since 1965, where he serves with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and Christian InterAction (a church and campus connection). His evangelism ministry has taken him to every continent, and he has witnessed to people from varied nationalities both on campus and through a church that he pastored.

While many books on evangelism do not breach practical application, Metzger includes deep, careful questions to probe the reader’s heart for areas of growth and prompt initiative for application. The appendices are filled with tables and diagrams for easy memorization of evangelism tools. While I, myself, do not find those tools particularly affective, it is a valuable resource.

By far the best book on evangelism I’ve read. It focuses on the message than the method. It’s grounded on God’s sovereignty than man’s capability.
