The Queen’s Doctor’s Story is the epic 4th installment in the Brumbletide series by J. Reese Bradley. As Maggie recovers from and injury she accompanied by a charming doctor who takes her back to the beginning of Brumbletide. In this book you go between present day Maggie and the events of the past which shed more light on The Seven and the dark secrets of how Emily Castle came to be.

I cannot say enough about the beauty and magic of this series. The characters are growing and maturing along with the story. Every chapter is filled with intensity and adventure. I love seeing Maggie come into her own as she learns more about what she must face to make things right. This is a perfect middle grade fantasy series that adults and kids alike can enjoy.

This has to be my favorite book of the series thus far. It takes talent to give a full back story in an exciting way that leads you deeper and wanting more and Bradley did it. I can't wait to read the next book.
