Thank God for the original anime. I am so happy they created that first. Sometimes I regret reading the manga even though I know it came first. The reason? Haruka. Her relationship with Michiru is barely there and Usagi and her act so lovey dovey that it's unsettling. Why are you running into Uranus arms, Usagi? You already have your prince

Odio decir esto, pero fue un parto este tomo. No lo terminaba más, me llevó casi dos meses leerlo, WTF. No me enganchó nunca. Recién en las últimas páginas se puso un poco interesante.

Como siempre, me ha encantado. Quizás le hubiera puesto un 4,5 de haber tenido la opción (maldito seas, GR), pero me ha gustado mucho. Como siempre, un tono más maduro y adulto que el del anime, aunque tengo que admitir que en esta ocasión sí que he echado cosas en falta de este último. Y es que sí, el anime tiene relleno, pero algo que hace muy bien es profundizar en los personajes, y la verdad es que aquí he echado un poco en falta la profundidad que se le da a Haruka y Michiru en el anime. Por lo demás, muy recomendable.

I don't have much difference to say other than I loved the artwork as usual and the differences from the anime. However I do find I'm losing a bit of interest, I'm not sure if it's because I have recently watched this part in the anime which is why I've stopped watching it until I'm finished reading the manga. I look forward to finishing this arc hopefully in the next volume and then hopefully enjoying this series more as I read it.

Dang, the Outer Senshi really got the short end of the stick being forced to be completely alone on their planets, unable to ever leave, or communicate with anyone.
Also, poor Hataru, I don't remember the story line of her basically being an android? Holy crap.

The second volume in the Death Busters saga and we learn about Sailor Saturnus. The girl who will bring forth ruin and destruction. It was an interesting volume to read with plenty of action, transformations, and more. And also some stupid Chibi-Usa stuff, you know that Usagi told you not to show people everything, that you got to keep things secret? Don’t show your Silver Crystal to people then.. Dumb brat. I also wasn’t a fan how the outer sailor senshi acted towards Sailor Moon and the other senshi. We later learn why, but I still was shaking my head. It was just ridiculous and even more ridiculous when Usagi goes in Serenity mode and suddenly the trio is acting all friendly and kind. rolls eyes Just be honest with Usagi, just tell her immediately why instead of acting like a couple of twats. I loved the battle that happened and all that came with it. Revelations, secrets, and go go Hotaru, fight it! I loved learning more about the outer senshi and where they were during the peaceful times on the moon. Super Sailor Moon appears and boy I wish I could see her outfit in colour because I know it is just absolutely stunning to see.
Oh and the art was gorgeous… but at times the legs (and arms) were just like the noodle legs that CLAMP at times has. 😛

I don't know why, but I continue to be surprised when Sailor Moon is really cool! I think a part of me still thinks I shouldn't really like Sailor Moon, that I should think it's silly and ridiculous and convoluted. That the part of me that loves Sailor Moon is childish and dumb...
Which in itself is ludicrous. I shouldn't try to deny what I love! And I shouldn't feel defensive about enjoying it! Besides, what's not to love? Pretty Guardians fight evil while looking awesome and finding love amongst friends and family.... Yep, sounds good to me. I must be crazy, right?
Anyway, there's this awesome sequence which pretty much sums up why Sailor Moon is one of my heroes (sure, she's a crybaby and a brat, but she loves her friends and family with all of her being):
Perfect? No. Ridiculous? Absolutely. Wonderful? YES!

The basic storyline's more or less the same as the first two arcs--a few henchman battles, then an epic boss sequence. This arc's somewhat darker than the others... the question arises whether the outer senshi should murder Hotaru to prevent Earth's end days, and Hotaru herself ends up being a weird tripartite mishmash of herself, Chibi-usa, and a scary alien. The grimness is counterbalanced with an anime-like theme of "isolated we are vulnerable, together we are strong" and silly attack names like "Coconut Cyclone!"

Truly love how much information is explained about the origins of the outer planets and their histories before the destruction (Saturn). The way there’s so many changes that I’m happy to see in the Netflix version due to how the 90’s anime approached them. We are finally gonna see Mistress 9, in her glory without her dying in like 5 mins (looking at you 90’s anime).
Plus the way the holy grail has a better meaning compared to the 90’s. So much lore about what happened to Sailor Saturn and why she’s a threat makes more sense. Anyways, my fav manga of all time mhm.

Aunque por ahora todos lo tomos me están gustando a un nivel muy parecido, quizás es este siete mi favorito. Mucha acción, temática más oscura y además se indaga mucho en Hotaru, la guerrera Saturno, de la cual no recordaba absolutamente nada del anime, y es la guerrera que más interesante me parece. ¡A por el ocho!

Este tomo estuvo realmente genial, la historia es mucho más interesante que en arcos anteriores, y el dibujo ha mejorado de una forma realmente notable. Las nuevas senshis me gustan cada vez más, Chibiusa está un poco más madura y Usagi bastante menos quejosa.
Me gusta que continúe una cierta tensión y misterio sobre quienes son los verdaderos enemigos y cuál es la misión de las chicas nuevas, hace que el manga sea mucho más interesante.

Tanto en el libro 6 como en el 7, la historia da un vuelco, vemos como las chicas disfrutan de su día a día y la amistad entre ellas; y a su vez un nuevo "enemigo" más poderoso y discreto, por lo que es más difícil combatir con el y lo mejor de todo es que conocemos a las últimas Sailor que las cuales son intrigantes y misteriosas, creo que de esta saga junto al libro 2 este ha sido mi favorito.

I’ve run out of things to say about this series.
I’m glad we got some (slight) backstory for Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune in this one. But overall, this series has become very repetitive. The humor and quirkiness from the first volumes is long gone and everything is just dark and strange. Volumes 5-7 have been quite a disappointment.

Book: Pretty Guardian: Sailor Moon, Volume 7

I will admit that this one was more a filler than anything. All of the bones to a grand finale are there, but we didn’t reach it yet. While I do see why this one had to be there, it just felt like it was bridge for what is to come. Yes, it is action packed and a very quick read.
This one focuses on not letting Sailor Saturn awaken. We see how the idea of what could happen if Sailor Saturn does, in fact, awaken and what kind of damage she very well could cause. We also see the Sailor Guardians torn into two on what must be done in order to save the save world. While it may seem black and white in a typical super hero setting, it isn’t here. We see most of the characters are really torn about what they have to do and see them trying to come up with ways to avoid doing it. It’s a moral toll. I really liked seeing the weight that this arc has put on our characters. We see that a lot of the characters are really conflicted and they just really don’t know what to do.
We also see really two factions of Sailor Guardians form. We have the Outer Guardians and our usual crew. Seeing them together just shows us the depth and thought that has been put into these characters. Everyone has different ideas about how to do everything and is does come to crash. We see these different groups really start to take place and how much it really adds to the story. Throughout the course of the story, we have been given this sense that they will all follow Sailor Moon without question and that is just the way that it’s going to be. We really don’t have that here. We have these new guardians who aren’t going to follow Sailor Moon and who are doing to do what they think is right-even if the others don’t fully agree with it. I can’t wait to see how this adds to the overall story.

Love conquers all! I love how the Sailor Scouts love for one another, the strength of their friendship, and the solidarity of those sisters (along with Tuxedo Mask and Chibi-Usa too) is the one thing that always defeats the monsters.
In this volume, there are some Sailor Scouts who want to do their own thing, and it takes Sailor Moon's big heart to unite the girls into a team again.
I loved finding out more about the mysterious Hotaru, and seeing how her unlikely friendship with Chibi-Usa develops and affects the story.
Sailor Moon gets a pretty cool power-up in this volume, and even Chibi-Usa realizes the extent of her magical power. The whole Sailor gang together make a fierce and determined army of goodness and light!

Es un cierre de "ciclo" por llamarlo de una manera, con la despedida del planeta Nemesis y Los villanos de la Luna Negra, algo trágico, la muerte de una Sailor y que espero que no sea permanente y que se saquen algo de la manga para traerla de vuelta.
También es el "inicio" de una nueva etapa, con nuevos villanos y nuevos personajes que aún no sabemos si son amigos o enemigos.
Es increíble, pero este volumen solo contiene 2 capítulos, uno es bastante largo y parece que a la editorial le encanta dejar las escenas en pausa en partes importantes. Y aun así siento que otra vez estos no me están impresionando tanto.

AND PLUTO HAS ARRIVED! Almost all my babies back together. I like this one because of the conflict between the inner and outer senshi and the birth of Super Sailor Moon but I find this one a more of a push along to get to the end of this arc. I mean it was wonderful but since I finished the next manga today too, I remember more the other one than this one.

Qui la storia si fa avvincente, con le tre nuove guerriere che sembra non vogliano collaborare con le altre perché hanno un'agenda tutta loro che prevede l'eliminazione di Hotaru.
Peraltro il padre di quest'ultima é proprio folle, lei mi fa pena poraccia... un destino infame!
Adesso voglio vedere come procede, la situazione è abbastanza critica!

The Infinity arc continues. These might be my favorite villains yet, though we'll see (the Death Busters are fairly hokey still). Also some fun power ups from the Sailor Guardians, as well as one more Sailor . Really looking forward to the conclusion of this storyline.

Mais um brilhante volume desta saga, nao podia ficar mais contente com o aparecimento da sailor plutão no entanto estas novas 3 irritam me um bocadinho por se recusarem a trabalhar com as 5 originais.
Eu ja sabia que a hotaru tinha algo de especial mas omg este final deixou me em pulgas para pegar ja no proximo volume.

As readers we finally get to meet all of the outer senshi with the reintroduction to Pluto and we get to meet Saturn, who turns out her job is both a terrifying yet mysterious one out of all the senshi. There was a ton of action going on in this volume that kept me sucked into the story and I very much loved this volume!
