Short, sweet, and simple adaptation of Cinderella. She only goes to the ball once in this condensed version, and even though the artwork was fairly simple I think it got the point across. Also overall the characters were very modest. I especially liked the line “her kindness made her beautiful, and her beauty shone like sunlight through her dirty face and ragged clothing”
Cinderella is a story of a young girl who lives with her stepmother and stepsisters. She is treated very poorly until her fairy godmother comes along and helps her attend the ball. Here she finds the prince and must leave before midnight. Later, the prince goes after her to find who she is, all by the glass slipper she left behind the night of the ball. In the end, she and the prince are married.
I think that this book would be appealing to young readers because has very nice pictures and magic. If I were to use this book when working with children, I would read it aloud then go over new vocab that came up in the book.
This book has not received any awards. The appropriate grade level is 1st grade. This book talks about a step-daughter who had to bow down to her step-sisters and step-mother. The family got invited to the prince's ball and everyone went but Cinderella. The fairy godmother comes and magically fixes her up and the prince falls in love with her. This book is a good book for children who love to hear about fairy tales. I do not like the way that Cinderella is treated though. A possible use for this in class is when your teaching history about fairytales.

I always have liked the story of Cinderella. This book is really tiny, but it is perfect for telling the story of Cinderella. It is short and to the point. The illustrations are very simple! This would be a great book for a young child to learn about the story of Cinderella. It's sad, but some children may be able to relate to the same situation having a stepmother like Cinderella.
Cinderella is the story of jealousy, virtues and sufferings of Cinderella and hostility of her older sisters. The fairytale about Cinderella has won many generations and everyone who believes that a humiliated being will rise and win and also that beauty and virtue not only have to be rewarded but also recognized.
Cinderella is a timeless tale of a young girl who is treated poorly. She is finally given the life she deserves when her fairy godmother helps her find a prince. I would use this book in a lesson about creative writing. I would have my students write about what happens after Cinderella and the Prince get married.
This story is pretty much the same as the one we know accept for two things. The first being in the beginning there is no speaking of cinderella's father, and when cinderella tries the slipper on she magically transforms back into her ballgown which did not happen in the original.
This would be in the independent book boxes of my advanced readers or I could consider this as a read aloud since most children will know the story of cinderella.
Cinderella by Jane Jerrard is a fantasy picture book intended for young children. Cinderella is a story about a servant girl who worked hard for her family while her new stepsisters and stepmother were spoiled. The Prince of Cinderella’s kingdom throws a ball and when Cinderella arrives, she captivates the Prince. Cinderella then leaves and loses her shoe and the Prince searches his kingdom to find her. I gave this book a five-star rating because this book has well illustrated pictures and tells the story in a way that’s easy to follow. I think that the pictures in this book are very effective. They are very colorful and don’t have boarders or a set shape which gives the pictures a dreamy feel to them. The characters in this book are effective. The plot of the book is effective. The plot is very clear and progresses smoothly. Cinderella is introduced, Cinderella has a problem, someone comes to help, Cinderella gets what she wants, then Cinderella lives happily ever after. I think that this book would be appealing to young readers because has very nice pictures and magic. If I were to use this book when working with children, I would read it aloud then go over new vocab that came up in the book.
Cinderella is about a servant who lives with her step mother and two step sisters. One night, the Prince invites all the people to the land, except Cinderella wasn't invited because she was a servant. The night of the ball, she went into the woods and cried, but her fairy godmother appeared and Cinderella had a beautiful dress for the ball. She danced with the prince and on her way out, her glass slipper fell off. The next day the prince went around looking for the woman who fit the shoe, it was Cinderella, and they got married that day.
Traditional Literature #9 This story is about a girl who is forced to do all of the work in the house for her stepmother and two stepsisters. All single women in the town were invited to a ball, but the stepmother and two stepsisters did not want Cinderella to go. They created a bunch of ridiculous chores for her to do instead. Cinderella's fairy godmother comes to her rescue and Cinderella ends up marrying the prince.
Cinderella is always forced to do all the work. After helping her mean stepsisters get ready for the ball, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother arrives and helps her go to the ball. Cinderella looks beautiful, and the prince dances with her the whole night. When rushing to get home, Cinderella loses one of her glass slippers. The Prince searches for the girl who wore the slippers all day and finally finds Cinderella.
Traditional Literature 6 This is the classic tale of Cinderella. She has two step sisters and an evil step mother. Her fairy Godmother ends up helping her get to the ball and meet the Prince. When she has to run away at midnight leaving her glass slipper the Prince soon finds her and matches the slipper they live happily ever after!
This is the Cinderella version that I remember as a child. I hated how the stepmother and step sisters treated Cinderella but I loved how the fairy godmother came and gave her a wish and helped transform her into a beautiful woman. I also loved how the prince and Cinderella fell in love and lived happily ever after!
Cinderella is one of my favorite fairy tales, and because I love the way the prince vows to find Cinderella, even though they only knew each other for a couple hours.
