Nice oldschool book about tape music. No more but no less.

Key words here are 'for beginners'.
If you still have an intention to pursue musique concrete in hardware-only Haibach-ish style - that's the perfect book for starters.
But for me it was a rather nice way to see the development of tape music in almost 50 years and hence to appreciate music tools I have.
I.e. with any software sound editor and hardware sampler (especially Make Noise Morphagene) you can become a god of tape music if you really want to.

And a well structured appendix with music, books and further suggestions

best book on the practical aspects of tape music, okay granted there arent many... but even if you arent planning on splicing tape, this book has a ton of creative ideas for experimenting with sound. i read it as a child and it opened me up to thinking about sound collage. highly recommended and available for free online

I really enjoyed this. It's always great to read enthusiastic authors talk about their methods on older technology. This is particularly great since it is targeted at novices. It all translates: what you could do in 1971 with tape and lots of patience and time can now be done almost accidentally with software. A good, fun read.
