Overall a pretty enjoyable book. I enjoyed the author's use of photos and historical artifacts to support their claims and enhance the reading experience, it made the reading more enjoyable and exciting. The book focuses of Greek Mythology, this makes the book intriguing in it's own way, not only does the author help the reader understand the mythology, he also relates it to current terms. Something that I found impressive, was the author's ability to describe an image, "Opposite right, Heracles with his family. The decorations are oil-flasks are often either sepulchral or domestic, reflecting their two chief uses. The genre scene of the son reaching out for his father from his mother's lap is given piquancy by the application to Heracles, not the most domestic of heroes" (Pinsent 83). What this showed me was the relation between the image, and the myths, this is an important distinction to help the reader. In conclusion, for me this book was a really good read and helpful for me to learn more about Greek Mythology, though I do not know if everyone would enjoy the book in the way I did.
