She was lost in the fire. Surprisingly, Dinah loved working for "Sir Gee,"her autocratic boss. But working for his son was another matter entirely.Greg Randal had all of his father's arrogance with none of the older man'sunderstanding nature. He antagonized Dinah from the very first, seeming togo out of his way to believe the worst of her. A trip to Paris producedsparks between them, sparks of anger--and desire. Had Dinah leftself-preservation until it was too late? Had her wayward heart already beenburned beyond healing?
The H rescues the story because he is besotted. But the h really has a chip on her shoulder.
I became annoyed by the way she did her work as a secretary for the H’s father. The book starts that she isn’t taking any phone calls while she is checking the mail for her boss. Why not multi-task?
She overslept several times. She took too long lunch breaks. She hugs a married colleague in her office.
She goes on a business trip with the H and she accepts a dinner date with his business associate she hardly knows. She shows up in a white sexy dress showing much cleavage and showing her legs.
She gets drunk or tipsy with that business associate. The next day she has a headache and she overslept again while she had to work. After all, it was a business trip. 🙄
She makes a mockery out of the job of secretary. I am not a secretary by the way, but I know people who are.
