Darcy Honeywell is searching for perfection. To him, the perfect woman knows a lot about horses, and she's tall. Just when he finally meets his dream woman, he's dispatched to care for his sick Aunt Jo, a taciturn old maid who used to terrify young Darcy. Jo requested Darcy by name to care for her beloved animals, something else he's not happy about. His temper is already frayed when he meets Genevieve, a tiny and maddening woman who has somehow wormed her way into his wealthy aunt's good graces. Darcy is sure Genevieve is up to no good, and he's determined to prove it. What he proves, however, is that sometimes perfection is overrated because sometimes the biggest surprises come in the smallest packages.

I enjoyed this story. It was nice to see one of the boys off the Honeywell farm. I also liked the thematic "Beauty and the Beast" bit, but I found Darcy to be annoying for most of the first half of the book. He began to grow on me, just as he grew on Gen, and I was cheering for them. I liked the side story of turning the farm into a camp for kids, and I would love to see more of that later. I thought the ending was a bit rushed, but I still liked it overall. I would have liked to see more of Gen's struggle with the illness and baby, but it worked out well in the end!
