This book includes images that help the children to understand what Diwali is. The children in the Nursery engaged with the activities that I had set up for them this week including making rangoli patterns, making diva lamps with clay and decorating mehndi hands.

Along with resources from the BBC that I displayed on the SMART board I also used this excellent book which we borrowed from the local library.

I enjoyed using this non-fiction book with the children and exploring how people celebrate Diwali.
