Jaws was a gentle reminder. Now the real horror has begun...Pike - freshwater sharks,, one of Nature's perfect killing machines. Rapacious and remorseless hunters, they have no enemies, except man.But now a strain of pike is loose in our rivers and streams - a ghastly mutant whose appetite for human flesh is unappeasable. And man becomes the hunted, the prey of crazed killer fish that nothing and no one can stop.
A somewhat standard nature runs amok tale, with pollution being the catalyst for extra large killer pikes. A bit light on gore and sex for this type of affair, but it was fast paced and short. The fish attacks on shore were what made this one a little more memorable, as the characters at times were not even safe on land!

Thanks to a mix of chemical pollutants and a taste for human flesh a mutated strain of pike, massive and veracious start attacking and consuming any human that comes in to contact with them.
A great animal attack novel. The second book on killer pike I’ve read, the first being “The Pike” by Cliff Twemlow. This was the better of the two I thought
When you can find an old school animal attack horror book grab it by both hands and don't let go. The crazy mutant Pike in this book can rip limbs and fresh of the body with pure terror. Yes it's old school, yes it's not the best written book but in a couple of hours you will enjoy a fun ride. Let's cheer for the fish.
