The Third in a series of Tai Chi books, written by the well-known student of Cheng Man-ching, Wolfe Lowenthal, author of "There are No Secrets" and "Gateway to the Miraculous."
I've seen and heard some martial arts teachers almost deify their teacher, and while some of that seems to have occurred in regards to Cheng Man-ching, Wolfe always returns to the philosophy rather than excessive tales of Cheng's prowess. The philosophy is presented as a universal, not as a secret. The first few chapters of the book were actually the most interesting, a small bit of his own path which brought him to study and eventually teach tai chi.
I will probably reread this as I continue studying tai chi (with the author).
