Follows the life of Maudie, an Amish girl, from the age of six to adulthood, and provides a portrait of her close-knit family as they experience joys and hardships while moving to different states during the early 1900s
I borrowed this because it was written by Aunt Jewel about my Great-Grandma Mattie Borntrager Knepp (by marriage). I read it in two days, and I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of Laddie by Jean Stratton Porter. It's definitely not just an "Amish romance."
