I don't think you can talk about Hammer's Swing without first mentioning Whiskey on the Rocks. The beginning of this story is the catalyst for the beginning of that story. I know that seems a little convoluted, but it's true. In Whiskey on the Rocks, Kiana (Duchess) realizes that she hasn't heard from her little sister in weeks. She's aware that Tempy is a club girl and has a general idea of what that means, but she's never associated with the MC. That's all going to change when she heads to the clubhouse for answers. Her sister wouldn't disappear on a whim with no communication.
By this point, Hammer and Tempy's (Wings) relationship has already begun to unravel. It's these first few details that show the complicated mess that they find themselves in. In a nutshell, Hammer makes their relationship exclusive but won't commit to the next level. After a year, Tempy realizes that she's stuck. She loves the bonehead, but she has to move on in order to grow. There's nothing for her in the clubhouse any more. The only problem is that she runs right to the enemy.
To say that this is one of my favorite tropes is an understatement. I am a sucker for a biker. Add in a little sister who is in trouble, and I am perfectly content to sit and read. We already know that they have a complicated past, but I feel like they didn't get an easy way out. As a newer author, Jessa has hit it out of the park with this one. In fact, it's so good, that it might be hard to top. There are so many little nuances that are done right, in my opinion. One of them is Hammer's self-awareness. In the beginning, he never wanted to claim an old lady. As a kid, he witnessed his parent's relationship self-destruct. His mother left, and his father never was the same again. Hammer is determined not to go down the same path, but he realizes that not only are they not his parents, but he's been unfair to Tempy. He then actively works to prove himself through words and actions to win her back. It redefines the notion that the road to redemption is paved with good intentions.

So we finally get to find out what is going on with Hammer and Tempy. Here we find out a lot of information. One being why Hammer is acting the way he is and two why Tempy is so hot and cold. We know that something happened to Tempy and she is dealing with it in her own way. She has secrets only her sister knows but we all know that secrets never remain secrets. Now she is hot and cold in the beginning. Like she wants Hammer to make the effort and chase her but then she pulls away. Hammer is a big guy by all means and he just realized that Tempy is who he wants. It just took him almost losing her to realize it. Now he is trying to do everything he can to keep her around. So what does that all entail. That is a good question, it is just a matter if both Hammer and Tempy can finally get on the same page. Which they do only to have their happy bubble burst when the unexpected happens. Its like Tempy cannot shake the past because it rears its ugly head. Hammer is not about to lose her again and he fights for them. It was sweet and amazing. Then when I got to the end, I was like dang I should have seen that coming. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see what is next.

HOLY COW! SO GOOD!
Not sure where to start first:
1. I think this is the best book in the series so far.
2. The chemistry between the two main characters was off the charts so that even when they were fighting it seemed like a romantic dance.
3. Having all the characters from the previous books was great for updating on where they are at this time and the chaos they like to create for the couple.
4. This book as DRAMA with a capital D. There are funny times, tears, angst, romance and very HOT steam.
5. The HEA has surprises you don't see coming but is so sweet and loving.
A great book all in all!

I loved this book all the way til the end and that was it. I hated it.

What I didn’t like was how Tanya was completely forgotten. Like she was never a mum to her son. Yes she was a club whore but so was tempy…. Didn’t she deserve a little bit of credit. She obviously looked after and cared for her son. And was excited for the mew child?

Hammer's Swing (Rebel Vipers MC #3) by Jessa Aarons is an emotional love story full of pain, angst, secrets and misunderstandings that takes place once Wings/Tempy returns home. The story begins with the aftermath of Tempy returning to the clubhouse after she escaped from the Chaos Squad and her ordeal of the horror she went through. With the help from her sister Duchess and the rest of the MC family they are all helping her to heal, but the one person who she keep butting heads with is Hammer as she wants nothing to do with him.
Hammer Sgt. at Arms is stubborn and has a hard time showing his feelings for Tempy, when she came to the club as a club girl she was exclusively his, but he never would commit to her, just gave her mixed signals. When he learned she was missing he stepped up and told his club he was claiming her as they try to find her. But when she returns to the clubhouse after her escape she closed herself off from Hammer as she wants nothing to do with him. Hammer thinking he should treat her with kid gloves, just keeps saying and doing the wrong things when he is around her, but to the annoyance of his brothers, he will not man up and claim her which causes both of them pain. Now Wings who only wants to be called Tempy has had enough and decides to leave the the clubhouse as she can't be around him any longer, especially with a secret she has kept from him.
This one action will set the stage for Hammer to finally wake up as he now has to prove to Tempy that she is his as he will make her see that how he treated her before was inexcusable and he will do all he can to make it up to her and get her back, but what happens when he learns a secret that Tempy kept from him? Will Hammer walk away or will he calm down enough and see things from Tempy's side? Finally these two will go all in, deal with their loss together and be a couple. No longer will she be named Wings but Hammer gives her a new name Angel as she has saved him from himself and has made him a better man one who loves with his whole heart. the passion and desire between is these two comes to fruition as they embrace all of the feelings they have for each other as Hammer finally claims Angel as his ol'lady. Once again they will be faced with obstacles when Felix Ruiz makes trouble, her new owner is making threats towards the club wanting what he paid for. Can Hammer and his brothers stop this man from taken Angel? And what lengths will he go to protect the woman he loves. This story had so many twists and turns, especially once Hammer's past, one that he never knew about will changed both Angel and Hammer's life forever. Now choices will be made as the love these two have will get stronger and their lives will become richer as they embrace this new beginning between them with the love they have for their new family. This story was powerful and full of emotion that once you start reading you will not be able to put this book down, it was that good! Loved the close bond all of the MC brothers have for each other, this is one story that is a must read. You will not be disappointed. Now we have to wait for the next brother who will find love.

Hammer's Swing is the third book in the Rebel Viper's MC series. It reads like a made-for-TV movie! The storyline engages you with action, drama, suspense, mayhem, twists, betrayal, lots of family love, and tons of romance. We have come to love the characters, and they are even more compelling than in the previous two books. Finally, we see Hammer (aka Adam) and Wings, who becomes Angel (aka Temperance/Tempy), have their chance at a relationship. Nothing is ever easy for these two. They have been through so much, and their pain runs deep. The past comes back to disrupt their chance at their happiness as secrets come to light and an enemy they did not know comes after Angel. No one messes with the family of the Rebel Vipers. With the help of old and new friends, newly formed alliances, the RVMC truly takes care of their own in this one. The sense of family, loyalty, and brotherhood are palpable.
Hammer's Swing is my favorite in the series, though I love them all. There is something about Adam and Tempy's love story that pulls you into their world. It feels real believable. While their family and friends root for them, you will too. The epilogue gave insight into the next story in the series, A Smoke Filled Haze. It leaves you wanting more, so I am looking forward to reading it next.

Hammer is Worth the Wait!
The latest in Jessa Aarons’s Rebel Vipers MC series, “Hammer’s Swing,” is an amazing MC romance that actually had my heart tugging in fifty different directions. Hammer - who is even more wonderful than I thought he’d be - is deliriously sexy, broody, and commanding, but he has this sweetness about him that just makes you want to climb him like a tree and grab on like a koala. Tempy, the club girl formerly known as Wings, is a gorgeous, strong, intelligent, and giving woman who has survived some seriously horrifying situations, but she has the fortitude to steel her spine and force Hammer to man up and see where their white-hot chemistry can lead them. Both of them are beautifully broken, which makes me adore them that much more. This one is a tough road to an HEA, and it is by no means guaranteed with its twists, turns and potholes, but it is a really great story that I could not put down even if I wanted to. Aarons packs an emotional punch with this one while also giving us all the steam and heat we could want interlaced with touching aww moments, humor, suspense, and the danger that is inherent in an MC story. I love the way the author makes characters from the previous books such an integral part of each story, and I am so looking forward to the next one! Five stars without a doubt

The appearance of Tempy's buyer threatens to throw a spanner in the burgeoning relationship between Hammer and Tempy. Tension is ratcheted up to nearly nuclear grade weapons, and doesn't really die down until the last page. This one will leave you on pins and needles the whole trip.

Wow!! Jessa did a great job with Hammer and Tempy’s story. If you have been reading this series, you know that Tempy was a club girl, Duchess’s little sister and they called her Wings. She was not the typical club girl. She had only been with Hammer for about a year before she was kidnapped and when she comes back things between these two have changed. They both want to be with each other and you can tell they belong together, but they go back and forth. Hammer is so dang stubborn and keeps giving Tempy whiplash with his actions and words. Hammer and Tempy have a connection and undeniable chemistry, they just need to get everything out in the open. This story made me laugh, cry, scream and made me want to throw my kindle. I really loved their story. It had a lot of ups and downs, but it was needed to tell their story. All the characters are great. I loved the new name that she gets. You’ll need to read this to find out all these two go through. This series is great and I can’t wait to read the next one. Btw, those next two are my troublemakers.😁 Get swept up even more in the Rebel Vipers MC. You may even see some familiar faces.

Temperance, AKA Tempy and Wings, returned to the clubhouse of the Rebel Vipers months after she was abducted. For a while nobody knew she was missing until her sister came looking for her...a former club girl, she was only seeing one of the members, Hammer, until she overheard a conversation which told her he wasn't thinking of any sort of permanent relationship with her...she was abducted when got a flat as she was going somewhere else...now she's back, and things have changed. Her sister is now the club President's 'Ol Lady and expecting, and Hammer is treating her with kid gloves...but while he missed her, she can tell there is a reluctance to make her his woman...and she doesn't want anyone to know what she endured at the hands of the Chaos Squad MC...deciding to return to house she and her sister inherited on death of grandparents...but will Hammer chase her down?? can he win her back?? what about man who bought her from Chaos Squad...he never showed up?? Life in the Rebel Vipers still goes on. We are now introduced to Hammer, Sergeant at Arms and Wings, club girl, who has returned to the clubhouse after being abducted by another MC and to be sold on. Things are not smooth between them. He treated her badly only to realise it too late; she wanted more but realised it would not be forthcoming. She left the club again to give herself some space. He follows because he wants her back as his, but she wants certain terms and conditions, which he is prepared to agree to. When someone turns up to collect the ' merchandise', the club joins forces and in spite of taking precautions to keep her safe, she is taken again whilst the club members are attending a rally.
Lots of drama, upset and mayhem, disappointment, secrets and misunderstandings. Even more to come as their family members grow. Hammer changes dramatically in a short time from no interest in having a women to wanting a girlfriend, an old lady, active, a baby...do each need to be careful for what they wish for?

Review: When Tempey (Wings) left the MC, Hammer was baffled by his feelings of making a mistake with her. Yes, she was a club girl but for a year they had been exclusive but Hammer wasn't interested in an Old Lady. When she disappears and it is clear she was kidnapped, Hammer feels like his heart stopped and he vows he will claim her when they find her.
After escaping on her own, Tempey is back and with her sister now MC President's old lady distancing herself from the MC is off the table. She just needs time, but Hammer is insistent on pushing her. He wants her back, Tempey is struggling with her new normal and she is harboring a secret she is fearful of sharing with Hammer. Can she trust the whispered promises he is making to her or will it be another blow to her heart?
I liked this a bit of angsty back and forth until things really settle between the couple. My only wish would be we to get a little more insight of what happened when she was kidnapped. On to the next book.

Hammer is the Sergeant of Arms for the MC. He is best friends with Whiskey, the President. These two, and a select few have all grown up together. The reader can easily spot the loyalty, dedication, and genuiness of all these brother's. When it comes to the women they love, that is when it gets complicated.
Temperance has made her way back to the club after getting away from her kidnappers. Readers will notice how Tempy and Hammer are up in the air. Neither one knows how to move forward, or communicate. So Tempy leaves the clubhouse and moves back into her house. Hammer freaks out. What I think is most enduring about this couple is they never give up, and in fearing that they will not be able to be together forces them to acknowledge what has happened.

Engaging, brutal, viscously beautiful! That is this story. What happens when you fall for the one who does not believe that love can exist? What happens when the one you know you love disappears only to return with not so much love? You will find out what Hammer's story is and What he plans on doing with that love. Tempy has been through the ringer. She is tough and resilient, but when the love she feels for Hammer is not returned well she does what any of us would do, she runs! Hammer knows he messed up with Tempy and given the chance he hopes to change her mind and prove to her that he is all she needs. Does he bring his full force to fight for his woman? Does she return his feelings? Pick up Hammer's Swing and find out!

Rough start but it gets better for Hammer
I read the reviews and wondered why they were so negative. I understand now. The beginning chapters are do drag a bit. The arguments between Hammer and Tempy are never ending. They keep circling the same issues, guilt of her kidnapping and lies between the two of them. The Dutchess and Whiskey try and try to get these two together. Both Hammer and Tempy made mistakes. Once these two work out their issues and agree to try the exclusive couple agreement, this story really comes together and the reading is so much better. This is an MC story so there is violence, abuse, and angst. Like I mentioned, if you can get through the first half of the book, then the second half makes up for the earlier chapters. The story ends on a positive event. Read On!
I read the reviews and wondered why they were so negative. I understand now. The beginning chapters are do drag a bit. The arguments between Hammer and Tempy are never ending. They keep circling the same issues, guilt of her kidnapping and lies between the two of them. The Dutchess and Whiskey try and try to get these two together. Both Hammer and Tempy made mistakes. Once these two work out their issues and agree to try the exclusive couple agreement, this story really comes together and the reading is so much better. This is an MC story so there is violence, abuse, and angst. Like I mentioned, if you can get through the first half of the book, then the second half makes up for the earlier chapters. The story ends on a positive event. Read On!

Tempy (Wings) thought falling for Hammer was hard enough, as a club girl, let alone getting kidnapped when she decided she needed some space. But when she returns things are different, she pushes Hammer away. Hammer was always drawn to Tempy and when she arrived back safe he thought now was their chance, but Tempy's past is catching up to her and Hammer will go to any lengths to keep her safe and his!
Well written book 3 in the series that just keeps getting better! We've seen glimpses of Tempy and Hammer in the first two and now we get the mother load and all the secrets and demons too! Great story line and characters lead the way into a story that holds your attention through out.

This is the third book in this series and is Hammer and Wings / Tempy / Angel’s journey. Tempy has escaped from the Chaos Squad and the horrific ordeal which she endured and returns to the clubhouse, where her sister and the club try to help her heal, but she wants nothing to do with Hammer. Tempy decides that she needs to leave the club as it is too much to be around Hammer, but will this be a wake-up call that he needs? When the past comes back to haunt her will Hammer be able to protect and keep her safe? This is a well written emotional roller coaster which is filled with angst, secrets, pain, misunderstandings, twists, action, loyalty, family, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I almost gave up on this book after the first few chapters, because the story was all over the place, but I am so glad I didn't!! Once we get past the initial conflict, the story and the characters are pretty great!! Tempy and Hammer have a rocky road to navigate and sometimes they mess up, but the family bonds of the Rebel Vipers MC hold strong and the book turned out really good! So, if you struggle with the beginning, it is definitely worth it to stick with the story, because this is a really good book!

I haven’t read Mountain nor Whiskey’s stories but I did read Ring of Steel, so I came into this series late and this is a new author for me. I would say read Whiskey’s story first before reading this one (Ring of Steel not so much since they are in this story but their story don’t play a big roll as I believe Whiskey does, since his woman is the sister of Wings/Tempy/Angel of this story. I won’t say no more involving this one but my question for the next one. Who are Smoke and Haze? They must be new since I haven’t came across their names in the two stories I’ve read. I like to get a sense of who’s who when dealing with a series from the same club.

This series is very intense and this book was an action packed ride for Hammer and Tempy and the Rebel Vipers MC. The chemistry between Hammer and Tempy is way off the charts and their relationship is somewhat rocky and this only leads to lots of emotions and drama for them both. A great addition to this series that had me hooked and it would not let go until the very last page. Jessa Aarons certainly did their story justice. I am looking forward to reading more about this MC and who the next brother is to find his woman.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This story not only tells us about Hammer, but we learn more about Tempy, from the first book. When Duchess came looking for Tempy, Wings, we learned about her being taken. This book takes us thru the bad, the conflict and the stumbling blocks in the relationship Wings and Hammer have. He almost loses her more than once before he gets to keep her. Tempy has a rough go and she needs him as much as she wants him. I liked the characters a lot. It was a good story to add to the Rebel Vipers MC series.

This was a great story to read. Finally Hammer and Tempy's story. I like this story because they have had a long road, and now there are twists and turns, surprises for Hammer and trying to protect Tempy at all costs. Of course you have her sister Duchess who is expecting and close to her delivery date, and of course Whiskey is really protective of her. Hang on to you seats everyone, this book is a heck of a ride. Danger is still stalking Tempy and it takes the club and their allies to bring her home safely. A bit of an emotional roller coaster for them but ultimately they are meant to be together.

The third book in the Rebel Vipers MC doesn't disappoint. I was engrossed in the story from the very beginning until the end. Hammer and Tempy's story is full of intrigue, suspense, action, twists and turns, adventure, romance, emotional upheaval, love and happiness etc. Hammer and Tempy's relationship is complicated so it's going to take an incredibly hard fought journey to get to the other side for them to actually get their HEA. I would definitely recommend this book.

I liked the first two installments of this series and was stoked to see how Tempy and Hammer's story would play out. Tempy and Hammer were constantly fighting in the background of those two previous books and truthfully it was three times as bad in this because the focus was all on them. The hot and cold was way too much and over the top and I was not a fan of Tempy. I almost DNF'd this in the first third of the book but then it sorta smoothed out from there. Bring on Smoke and Haze's MMF story next!!

Hammer is thick headed, stubborn and hotter than sin. Tempy is frustrating, independent and haunted.
The two together are hotter than a fire, but smoother than a good whiskey. Their story, their struggles would bring lesser people to their knees and/or running scared. These two fight. They fight for one another, for family and for hope. Loved this story and all its twists and turns.

Oh my goodness! Hammer and Tempy's story is something else. Wings "Tempy", was a club girl but,, she was exclusive to Hammer, Sgt at Arms for the Rebel Vipers MC. Things got hectic and heartbreaking real quick when Tempy was brought back to the clubhouse after being abducted by the Chaos Squad. These two take us on one heckuva journey. Hammer definitely had his work cut out for him. Hammer's Swing is an excellent addition to the Viper's series.
