Xander’s father, Athos, is threatened by Aria’s very existence. If she doesn’t take her rightful place as written through prophecy, her birthright, chaos will reign. Are Xander and Aria doomed before they ever have a chance to be together? Author Jill Hidy paints a vivid, captivating Old World with vibrant characters and weaves the reader a story wrought with secrets and betrayal. I loved watching Aria turn into the warrior who can kick some ass when she’s threatened. And when she’s surrounded by her family, watch out! Sure to be a classic love story for the ages.
The ending had me wondering. Will the author give us a third book? I certainly hope so.
