One of my favorite books by my all time favorite Wattpad author! The descriptions flow easily, and there may be a few minor typos, but what story doesn't? :)
Simply amazing! Give it a chance if you haven't read it yet! :)
This story also won four catagories in the Watty Awards 2010, including Most Popular! So, I think that gives it some good background info. ;)

This is the story of one girl and twenty boys who come to love her even though they are troubled kids who were sent to private schools just for the people like them. Even though all she does is to tell them "Don't call me stupid" or "I am your teacher" I mean who loves that kind of a dull and boring person?

Honestly Harley is by far the most boring character I've read about whole year. And I'm sure she is in top ten of all time. She doesn't have hobbies, she isn't funny at all, she likes to stick her nose into other people's business and she hasn't got a authoritative bone in her body. But the worst of all it is so fucking stupid that she doesn't let anyone help her. You know what girl, if you want to take care of your brother well, you should let some adults guide you. Because you are seventeen and I am seventeen and I know it's impossible for me to look after my brother for a long time.

And guess what??? All her brother does is playing video games. If she were to accept help from other people, like her uncle, her brother would definitely be having a better childhood with better conditions. Don't even make me start with the fact that you can't have the custody of your brother if you are not eighteen.

AND SHE DOESNT LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE SWEAR. Well little girl, no one gives a shit about your fucking sensitivities.

None of these boys had any characters. They always did something in clash with their other behaviors. And of course none of these boys have done anything horrible, just beating up the father because he cheats, or stealing school desks. I mean come on, the thing this story was based on, I mean the "gangs" of school was formed because one of the leaders decided one day he didn't want to be friends with the other leader anymore. Hmm, why not? Who need a plot, who need rational explanations?

Plot what plot? I am not even exaggerating, this story has 0 (zero) action. It doesn't even have terrible young adult romance. There isn't any chemistry. Zero zero zero zero zero. Seriously how could anyone like someone who threatens you to reveal something vital for you? (Let's just forget for a moment that what she was doing was unforgivable in my eyes anyway.) Besides, she started talking about romances at %75 and it didn't even make sense. She tried to avoid love triangles and while I would like it of she actually managed it, she failed. Fucking failure. I don't even know what this book was about. If author thinks it is about a girl who is coping with their parents' loss and trying to stay strong for the sake of her brother, she is wrong. Well, at least she knows this story hasn't got a plot, she warns the reader but I have this stupid thing called hope that it was going to pick up.

This is my problem with this author. Her stories are never insulting or she is not insensitive about serious matters but man, why they are always make me rage at the end? I always think it is going to be good and I am always disappointed even when I can't pinpoint what I didn't like. It is just her writing is fine but her stories are always lame after a time that you have to skip. Her writing goes downhill at the end drastically, all the fucking time.

And she has to give up on her good girl characters. Seriously. I bet she is making these characters a lot like herself, awfully polite and proper. Boring.

It is a one star because I am in a bad mood. If I was feeling generous it would be a two star but honestly go read something else which won't make you roll your eyes until they fall off.

One of the very first stories I have ever read on Wattpad and I continue to love till this day. Believe Me, I'm Lying is not a story you come across everyday. The fact that it was so unique was the reason I started to read it, and from then on I was hooked.

4.5 beautifully written stars

Jordan Lynde (XxSkater2Girl16xX) is another amazing, young wattpad author.

Reading The Bad Boy Cupid Me (by Hasty Williams) made me realize that wattpad had a lot of great young talent, so I decided to check out a list of popular wattpad books on goodreads.

description

Well, surprise, surprise it turnes out that 4 of the books on the first page were by the same author - Jordan Lynde.

Jordan was as young as Hasti Williams when she wrote this book- She was only 16 but I found that her writing style was a lot more mature.

description

The story flowed and even though there was basically no action, no twists, the book was fun, and I found myself reading it in only a few hours. In short - it was a page turner.

description

And that's taking into consideration the fact that I. HATE. LOVE. TRIANGLES.

description

So despite the fact that I found the main plot to be unrealistic, and even though I thought that their first appearance painted Oliver, Arden and Tucker in a bad light , I genuinely enjoyed the book, and I ended up loving all of the guys.

And they all ended up loving Harley, and accepting her as their teacher and friend

description

I also found the heroine to be really likable, albeit very naive AND CLUMSY. I honestly could not tell you why clumsiness seems to be such a common trait for female characters. It's like they can't walk in a straight line.

description

I even loved the ending. Which, let's face it is rare. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE TRIANGLES!

So I bow down to you Jordan Lynde - good job!

It’s a fun read that I think many readers would enjoy it and some may not.I picked it only because I like reading not only published books but also the wattpad stories where it has no end to the imagination. The blurb was what got me interested in the book and also it being a wattpad story. Honestly, I liked the book but the environment I had expected in the plot was absent in it.

Harley is a tough character that I’ve liked very much who has gone through so much, but still she stood strong and took care of her little brother. She is a 17 year old high school girl and due to the tragedy of her parents death she dropped out of school even before completing her high school just so she could take care of her only little brother.Currently She is home schooled and is in desperate need of a job so that she can provide for herself and her brother or else her other choice would be foster care that she is so much against of. Every where she is turned down just because she was too young for the job. When a job is offered for being a sub teacher and the qualification is any one who is a high school graduate she lies about her age and education by providing fake certificates stating her being 22 years old of age. She accepts the job with no knowledge that the school is actually a school for delinquents. She was very careful from being caught unfortunately she was found out by one of her student who hated her most in the class.

Ok, I love the plot and the way it started it was great with them bullying the teacher as expected from delinquent students. At the beginning it was going alright, but later on it went down hill when there is sudden change in the characters behavior, they seemed more like normal students so the atmosphere felt like a normal high school not some school for delinquents.I expected them to be violent and aggressive, but they only looked aggressive on the outside but inside they are sweet as a sugar candy *augh* totally unexpected. Harley wears spectacles to disguise her young 17 year old look, but still they didn’t hide her youngness that much cause everyone asks her “are you really 22 because you don’t look like 22″. After some time, she develops a friendly bond with the students and hang outs with them which didn’t seemed realistic to me.

There is another character that I’ve liked so much in this plot his name is Eliott, the little brother of Harley who always calls her “Pig” but not Harley, and I loved how the author portrayed the brother and sister love between these two which was so sweet and adorable. The supporting characters are somewhat ok but not that great.Harley got a mixed feelings for two guys which is annoying as hell because I wasn’t even aware that she had developed feelings for them because you can only find the presence of attraction between the characters but not of any budding romance.I hoped there was more romance in this cause there isn’t much in it only at the ending phase.

Overall, I think it was not that bad but could be better but it was a entertaining read and also if you are a wattpad reader then you’ll definitely like this book. The author’s writing style is not creative but easy to understand.I would recommend it if you are looking for some fun and entertaining read but don’t expect too much.

I thought this book was amazing. What really got me was when she said, " And it had been raining the day my parents died." As soon as I read that, I knew this book was filled with drama, sadness and a rollercoaster of emotions. I knew I would fall in love with it. I was not disappointed. Elliot is SO adorable he made me want to squeeze him...though that would probably hurt him because he is so small, and I love his nickname for Harley, it just makes him even cuter. Harley went through a lot of hard times and really deserves her ending.

The story “Believe Me, I'm Lying” is about a girl who is 17 year old who lost her parents in a car accident and gets to take care of her young brother. She became jobless because of her young age. Her uncle offered her a job in a school for delinquents and pretended that she was 21. She falls in love with the guy she hated the most.

i think this is a pretty good book because i liked the story so much, it kind of teenagers stories but the love in this story was so cute. this was between the teacher and her student, she was younger than him but she faked her age to became a teacher in this school. the story is all about her and after her parents died in accident. and she have to take care of her little brother and her self.

On a scale of little brothers to delinquent boys this book is an loving next-door neighbour.
I’ve always wondered what it’s like to be a seventeen year old teaching a home economics to a classroom full of attractive senior delinquent boys. OK, maybe not. But if you’ve ever wondered that this book can answer your question. It’s absolutely hell until you fall in love with one of them. Then it’s hell squared because you can’t tell them you’re real age because your uncle, who is also the principle, will have to fire you. Oh well. Harley’s been there, done that. Did I mention, Harley is a badass?
I love Jordan Lynde’s characters because they’re all so well developed. (Except Seth, I wonder what happened to him.) Anyway, while reading this book I wanted to know every single detail of every single one of the boys in that home economics class. And don’t ask me where she came up with the idea for this absolute riot of a story. I loved it so much.
I would recommend this book to aspiring teachers, not to scare them off but to give them a good laugh. Also romantics, you guys will love this. Maybe even the delinquents will get a kick out of this book…

I read this out of curiosity and because of some people who recommended it. It’s a fun and easy read. I couldn’t stop reading until the end. It’s not a lol book but it made me smile at some points. I could relate a lot in being a teacher to delinquents and taming them.

I was obsessed with this book when I first read it. Oliver and Harley are so cute together... Normally I'm not super into second male leads, but I loved Arden too! He was hilarious and so was his grandma. I really liked that boy who was tsundere too... the poor dude.

Harley is a seventeen year old who left school when her parents dies in a car crash. She is fired from her cupcake store job and now she is jobless. Along comes her uncle, giving her a job which she has to pretend to be a twenty one year old teacher at his school. And not just any old school. A delinquent school.

Now Harley is thrust into a world full of love triangles, life changing secrets and, of course, lies.

This book is quite a cliche as it has a girl falling in love with a bad boy. It could be better if the author could fix it up a bit. There's a lot of plot holes and I couldn't really see any plot. Just a girl falling in love with a boy.

The good thing about this book is that there's a lot of morals in the book and lots of life lessons learned. Harley is a bit boring as her personality is too strong and not really that funny.

I would recommend this book to twelve year olds up. If you like books about love at first sight and cliche bad boys, then this is the book for you.

Hope you guys enjoy this book!

If you like cliché then read it.. Otherwise don't. This doesn't have a good plot or a realistic approach to it. Just a bunch of delinquent guys after a teenage girl who for god knows how became a teacher and is being involved in a romance with her students...
All in all, don't read this it's just a waste of time.

Apart from the fact that the plot is a little unbe(lie)vable considering a 17 year old home schooled girl managed to pull off being a 21 year old economics teacher, this book is a really humorous and heartfelt read by one of my favorite authors on Wattpad.

Harley's parents have died in a car accident, and in a desperate struggle to stay with her little brother Elliot, she is determined to find a job to support them. Her uncle saves the day when he offers her a job at his school for delinquents as a teacher.

Because of this relation, and the fact he is the principle, he's very aware that Harley is underage. She must keep her age a secret to keep the job— and this is how she manages to pull it off for so long.

There's no real big plot twists in this book. It's just a page turning teen fiction novel packed with laughs and drama. The road isn't easy for Harley; she has to convince her bratty class to listen to her and take her seriously, and she has to deal with blackmail when one of her students discovers her real age.

But at the end of the day, it's a really cute, light read, and it's definitely written maturely and professionally (considering the author was 16 when she wrote this).

Cute idea, poorly executed.

I randomly stumbled upon this story on Wattpad, searching for something light to read while waiting for my order of new books to arrive. Well, it certainly is light, for its story -and- the amount of plot holes. (sorry)

Even though the inconsistencies annoyed me, the concept itself was sweet and fun and would have gotten 2.5 or maybe 3 stars. The only real problem I had with the story is Harley’s pride. She doesn’t seem to get that doing everything alone in a situation like hers will only make things more difficult. Accepting (much needed) help is not something bad.

The true horror of this book lies within the amount of typo’s and unnecessary errors. There are hundreds of them; one in almost every sentence. If you don’t like correcting other people’s work, I highly recommend you to not even bother. On the other hand, if you don’t care about mistakes like that, go ahead and read it if you’re interested!

Also, it’s Mario Kart, not Cart. Please.
