This book had some good ideas on the basics of furnitiure building. I think the book was a bit short for the cost of the paperback.

This book jumps right in to the eight projects with no introduction to tools or materials, so the author really assumes that the reader has some prior knowledge of woodworking. The projects (somewhat) move from easy to more difficult and the step-by-steps are fairly clear, so you can "build" your knowledge as you work through the book. The little sidebars and tips are very useful. The projects themselves are simple pieces but are well crafted.
