Jake loves hockey. Like really, really loves hockey. Since he has more money than he knows what to do with, he decides the best course of action is to build his very own team. The plan goes smoothly up until he needs to replace a couple of players and he decides the best way to do so is with his two favorites in the league. Only problem - they are lifelong rivals who hate each other.
Maddox has played for the Winnipeg Maple Leafs since draft day. He’s built a comfortable, albeit lonely, life playing the game he loves. Things change drastically when he’s told he’s been traded out of the blue. He has to start over and find a new sort of normal while building camaraderie with his teammates. Shouldn’t be too hard for a nice guy like him.
Leon is a hotheaded hockey superstar. He lives and breathes the game. When he finds out he’s been traded, his temper nearly gets the best of him. He reins it in long enough to get his essentials packed for the trip from Dallas to Bellport, per the new team’s instructions.
When Maddox and Leon discover they’ve not only been traded to the same team, but that the owner is an adorably naughty boy needing a Daddy (or two) things get decidedly more complicated. Can these two rivals learn to work together in the name of love? Will Jake’s mischievous plans pay off by giving him the men he’s obsessed over for far too long?
Rushing into Love is an MMM romance featuring a bratty boy who loves to stir-the-pot and the two Daddies who work to keep up with him. It will feature characters from A Little Finn and Hear Me. This is a standalone, though you might find the experience more enjoyable if you read those books first.
Ok. Did the author upload a draft book, because this read like a draft. There’s going to be a few spoilers.
First, LEON, Maddox and Jake are the three MCs who end up with each other. Leo. LEOOOOOONNN. Tell me why the author uses Lee (the nephew’s name) for the rest of the book….except for the few pages he’s called Leon again. Did no one read this? No alpha/beta/proofreader? Really?!?
Second, Leon and Maddox are sworn enemies. They have 2 interactions with each other once they get to their new team and all of a sudden they’ve figured things out. OFF PAGE Yes I’m typing in caps because I’m ragey. Not only do they figure things out off page, but they’ve somehow developed super powers to know that Jake is hiding his little side and they both want to be with him. Did I mention none of this even happens until 50%.
Finally, up until 40% Lee/on has been adamant that he isn’t gay although he notices finding a few things about Maddox attractive. Cool, cool, I enjoy bi-awaking stories. Jake wants their first time together for one of the hockey players to be top as he takes care of the other one with his mouth. Ok fine. Lee/on wants to bottom…for their first time…and of course Maddox has a monster in his pants. Done. D.N.F.
More unbelievable than any MPreg I’ve ever read. Characters have active hate/fights for 20 years, one is not gay, yet in ONE day they decide, oh yeah, you’re my person and i AM gay and not only for you but him too.
There was absolutely nothing to take me from enemies to lovers. it was literally one day.
Rushing into Love is the first book in the Belport series by A.W. Scott.
Jake's story!! Before even reading it I was so excited for Jake's book. But this book was everything I wanted for Jake and so much more. I loved Jake, Maddox and Leon. They were perfect together and their story was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
I really enjoyed Jake’s story and his getting a HEA. It does live up to its title … it’s a whirlwind rush all the way through.
There are just some nits I’d like to pick …
This is a cute series, low-angst, variable degrees of spiciness, but fun and generally fast-paced. It would just take a little more to make them even better.
I have a huge appreciation for A.W. Scott’s Daddy/Little stories! This one was an awesome reading for me. I just did not connect the dots until after reading this one that there were other books with their MCs who are the minor characters in this one. I had the pleasure of reading one book and absolutely loved it. The minor character in that one book happens to be one of the MC in this one. It’s always an awesome feeling for me when all these MCs/Minor Characters mesh together in the series. What made this book a great read is the fact that there are 3 MCs instead of the usual 2. This story defies stereotype of having the owner of a NHL hockey team being a “Little” instead of being the stereotypical “Daddy” which I absolutely loved!
The story focuses on Jake, the owner of his town’s NHL hockey team who wanted two rivals who happens to hate each others be on the same team. Interesting!?!?!? Jake happen to be from a very prominent family that carries the Bellport name.
Jake was able to get Maddox, the Winnipeg hockey star and Leon, the Dallas Diamond hockey star. Both Maddox and Leon was upset with being traded but went with it. They had no idea they both were traded to the same team. They had hated each others and made it very obvious during the games. Well, when they got there, they found out they were both housed in a duplex owned by Jake. Jake had a hidden agenda for this to happen. Well, I’m going to stop right there and have you pick up the book to read and find out what happens. Such a wonderful reading! I’d definitely give it more than 5 allocated stars! Loved reading it!
Jake Bellport loves hockey and as he has loads of money he decided to build his own tea. All goes well until he needs to replace a couple of players when he goes for his two favourite players in the league - who are lifelong rivals and hate each other. Maddox plays in Canada and has a comfortable (but lonely) life but things change drastically when he is told he has been traded and he has to start again. Leon is a hothead who lives and breathes the game. When he finds out his had been traded his temper nearly gets the best of him, He packs his essentials and drives from Dallas to Bellport to join his new team. When they both discover that they have been traded to the same team and the owner is a naughty boy needing a Daddy (or two)things get decidedly more complex. Can they both learn to work together in the name of love? Will Jake’s mischievous plans pay off by giving him the men he’s obsessed over for far too long?
This was a fun story with the two rivals suddenly having to cope with each other, sharing and finding out that their lives were not as great in the past as they thought. Jake was a fun character and I loved the way he handled having both of them and not just one. This was easy to read, feel and understand. I liked the involvement of their families and that it added just a little complication to the dynamic. This is a MMM story with mature content in the format of a BSDM-like DDLB and D/s dynamics.
Rushing Into Love promised us a bratty boy and two Daddies and that's exactly what Jake created for himself by using his position as team owner of the hockey team to trade for the men he wanted to be his daddies... and luckily he also saw what no one else had seen before - the chemistry between the two daddies...
This book is a true insta-love instant daddy/boy situation. Once Jake gets all the pieces into place it's low angst with good steam and a quick build to committed relationship. The book also builds the foundation for Royce's book, with foreshadowing of what is to come when Finn, a side character with his own previous story decides he needs to own a baseball team...
It's rare that I crave angst, but in this case I think a little bit of angst or tension would have helped me get deeper into the story, but as it is this was a quick and lovely way to spend my afternoon.
Continuing the Bellport family shenanigans that began in A Little Christmas: Finn and continued in Hear Me- A.W. Scott doesn’t disappoint with double the daddies in Rushing into Love.
Jake Bellport in all his rowdy, uncontained glory gets his HEA with not one, but two hockey playing daddies. I loved every second of this light-hearted adorable story. We get to see the full cast of past characters from our town of Bellport while getting to witness two hockey enemies (can you say tension?) Leon & Maddox discover that the line between love and hate may just be smaller than they think. Add in a plotting Jake looking for his two daddies to take control and you have an explosive kinky insta-love ride.
This is the 4th of the Bellport novels and deals with Jake. Unlike Bellamy who loves football, Jake is obsessed with Hockey, and decides to buy his own team, for the town of Bellport. He also manipulates the situation to aquire, two highly sought after players, Maddox and Leon, who also happen to be major rivals in the hockey scene. This was definitely one of the more raunchy of the Bellport stories, or I guess you could say spicy. It is poly, so that's probably a clue. I love how much the Bellport family, and the town is so welcoming. Definitely enjoy that all the sports teams, are just extended family members to the Bellport crew...
I adore the Bellport family and love how it’s grown. I was so excited to get Jake’s story. There was no doubt in my mind that he would need two Daddies. Maddox was easy to get to know right from the start while Leon was a little more confusing. When we first get to know him I couldn’t tell if he was denying his urges or if they were new. I don’t feel we got any clarification on that. But when they all start getting together they blend perfectly. Now I can’t wait for Royce’s book.
DNF. the hockey inaccuracy was too much for me. I can usually overlook some creative license to fit the story better but I can’t overlook basic aspects of the sport. Owners don’t approach players to poach them. Trades happen through GMs and agents. An owner of one team showing up at the game of another is unheard of - that’s what scouts are for. And lining up at the blue line for the opening face off??? The blue lines mark the offensive and defensive zones - they take the opening face off at the center circle.
This book is great! I think I had a smile on my face the whole time. I loved Jake in the other books and have been waiting for him to get his HEA!! He got that and two Daddies!! The Bellport family, both on and off the ice, made appearances in this story and all were funny. I know I'll love Jake as a Little but we didn't get to see it much. Hopefully, he'll pop out in the next book!!!
This was a sweet, if chaotic romance between Jake, the owner of the Bellport hockey team, and Maddox and Leon, who are players and former rivals. Their relationship was fairly vanilla, which I didn’t expect from the peeks I had of them in another book, but the romance was great, as was the HEA.
The book does need better proofreading, but if you can read past that, it’s worth it.
Finally Jake's story is here. He loves hockey. So he build a hockey team for Bellport. And then he planned to have his 2 favorite players transfer to his team. But they're rivals. What happened after... well you have to read the book to find out.
It's a fun read , you gonna love Jake's shenanigans and laugh about it. And you gonna love his 2 daddies.
Thoroughly enjoyed. Jake the owner of the Belport hockey team wanted to rivals to join his team, Maddox and Leon. Both men hated each other in the ice and off but Jake wanted them. To assist his team to win the cup and also for selfish reasons. Once the shock of being in the same team, both men start working together on and off the ice. Fun read, thoroughly enjoyed
Jake made sure he got his daddies right where he wanted them. No matter the costs lol
Leon and Maddox were forced into the rival category from there time in college/hs I’m not remembering, but they honestly realized once they got on the same team there wasn’t a reason to be real enemies. Plus their sexual chemistry was through the roof.
Steam-3/5 there and good amount but not tons of detail.
For some reason I kept delaying reading this book. I’m such an idiot… This book and their story was amazing and beautiful. The way they figured everything out and what worked for them was really great to read. A.W. Scott doesn’t disappoint. Highly recommend this series.
Jake Bellport has a vulnerable side, in addition to his funny, outrageous and single minded sides. Enjoy Jake’s ability to give hockey stars Maddox and Leon a whole new perspective on hockey, life and love!!!
This was adorable. I've loved Jake since I first read about him, and his story didn't disappoint one bit. The dynamics between him, Leon and Maddox was gold! Also enemies to lovers is so good!!
The Bellport family just keeps getting better and better! I cannot wait for the next book! Please hurry! This is definitely a must read for gay, romance fans!
Really liked it but the insistence of having each MC have a POV chapter of their own in the same order weirdly stretched the book out longer than it needed to be.
I enjoyed Jake, Maddox and Leon's story and while Jake technically brought them in for the team he got so much more. Maddox and Leon quickly recognized that Jake needed someone and they both wanted to be that. I liked how they let their relationships develop all around and didn't try to force anything. I just wish we were able to see Jake have more time to be little as he clearly desired in the beginning of the book.
