Lucas
Fire took out my business, my apartment and almost my life a few weeks back, and now I’m living in my best friend’s house while I rebuild, and he travels the world. He found his perfect match and now It’s time I found mine.

After years on my own, I want a family, but I have zero hope in finding my match while I’m still completely crushing on the hottest builder in the world, and to make matters worse, he’s now my roommate.

I thought sharing a house with Carter would help me get over him. I’d see why he’s never had a boyfriend, or anyone worth bringing around town. I’d discover all of his faults up close and squash the perfect god-like image I’ve cemented in my mind all these years.

Problem is, no matter what annoying habits I jot down on my list, the more time I spend with him the more I’m convinced Carter is everything I will ever need. Now I just have to figure out a way to tell him.

Carter

With Michael traveling the world, it’s just Lucas and me in his house while we rebuild the café, bakery, and apartment. I’m happy for Michael. I really am, but seeing another friend get their happy beginning shines a light again on the fact that I might never get mine.

I’m sick of being everyone’s best friend, yet no one’s boyfriend. I want my happy beginning too. I want someone to pick me. To want me. To love me.

So I do what any single guy would do, I sign up for speed dating. Blind dates suck but I’m never going to find the one if I don’t start putting myself out there.

The problem is, the more time I spend living with Lucas the more I realize, I don’t want any of these random hookups. I want the sweetest guy I’ve ever met. The one who bakes me cookies just to make me smile. So now I have to figure out a way to show him I can be an awesome boyfriend. I can be his happy beginning if he will just give me a chance out of the friend zone.

I just LOVE this friend group. They're a bunch of folks in this small town who play trivia (team name: the Crystal Queers). I just love them ALL so much, and would like all of their happy ever after stories please. :)

In book one of this series (Textual Connections), Lucas and Carter clearly have some chemistry going on, so I was sure this second book would be about them. And lucky me, it is!! They're friends who have recently become roommates due to circumstances - so this one is friends to lovers AND roommates to lovers! I love the chemistry between these two - they're so sweet to each other, even when they're "just" friends.

The vibe is a sweet and funny, light-hearted and low angst small town romance, and it's told from a dual POV.

This is the second book in the Love in No Man's Land series, and can be read as a stand-alone. There are some spoilers for book one, but not really any more than just reading the back cover blurb for this book would be. I am already VERY eagerly awaiting book three, Whiskey Business!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are unbiased and my own.

The Half Baked Plan
is the second stand alone in the Love in No Man's Land series by Becca Jackson. This is fun lighthearted friends to lovers romance between temporary roommates. Lucas, whose trying to get over his crush on Carter, and Carter just discovering he has more than friendly feelings towards Lucas. The first third of the book is them trying to ignore their feelings the second is the two trying to build up the courage to act on their feelings and the third is spent in new relationship bliss. An entertaining romance filled with copious cookie and brownie baking, trivia night with friends, renovations, steam, and a cute HEA.

THE HALF BAKED PLAN is the second book in the Love in No Man's Land series. It can be read as a standalone without issue, but I feel you get more out of it if you read the books in the order that the author intended.

Lucas is in the process of rebuilding his business and his life. When his bakery and apartment above it burn down due to faulty wiring, he moves into his best friend's house while he's off traveling with his boyfriend. His longtime crush, Carter, who is also staying at the house, is now his roommate and rebuilding his bakery and apartment. Lucas tries talking himself out of crushing on Carter but everything he does just makes it that much harder to stop falling for the man.

Carter dreams of finding the perfect relationship. All of his friends are finding theirs and he just wants someone to call his own. When he signs up for speed dating, he's surprised to find the person he clicks with the most is his roommate, Lucas. Suddenly seeing him in a new light, Carter can't stop thinking about the sweet baker who makes him the best cookies he's ever had.

I loved seeing Lucas and Carter's relationship build. They both wanted the same thing but didn't see what was right in front of them. They had so much chemistry between them.

I can't wait to see what's next!

This book picks up where the first book left off. You could read it as a standalone, but you would get more of the back story of the fire and why everything is happening. We met Lucas and Carter in book one. Lucas owns the town’s bakery. Carter is the local construction guy and best friends with Michael, Lucas's business partner. These guys both fancy each other but don't want to ruin their friendship, so they spend half the book keeping their feelings to themselves. Once they both get their heads out of their butts, it's a beautiful, sweet love story. I mean it's sweet before then, but even sweeter. The secondary characters are amazing, we met all of them in book one as well. I can't wait for Marcus to get his own book, I just love him. Another sweet love story to add to the series. If low-angst, sweet, sappy love is your jam, this book is for you!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the second book in the series, and whilst you could read this as a standalone, you would miss out on quite a lot of the background to the town, the guys, and the vibe – so do yourself a favour and read Michael and Bobby's story first.

The last book left us knowing that a fire had damaged Lucas and Michael's business and when the guys left for adventures abroad, Lucas would be living with Carter whilst the cafe, bakery, and Lucas's flat were rebuilt. We also know that Lucas has had a crush on Carter for a long time and this could be make or break!

I love that these stories are low angst, but still have enough tension and dilemmas that it is impossible not to want to turn the page again and again. These two are the ultimate definition of slow burn and worry about turning from friends to lovers – but I enjoyed the push pull and most definitely when they finally came to their senses.

The 'perfect' brownie recipe was a great foil to the stuttering romance, as was the question of whether brownie or cookie are best! I am definitely going to have to try out the 'secret' ingredient next time I bake.

It was great to have some catchups from Michael and Bobby, but also from the wider crew, and there are plenty of guys who deserve a happily ever after, even if the speed dating did not work!

So many "I'll read this book next"s...Becca Jackson's second book ("The Half Baked Plan") in her Love In No Man's Land series just came out...so why not just read that instead...

I planned on reading this book in one night...then I got sick and it took me a few days instead.

But the warmth and the fluff and the sweetness and the baked goods and even the light angst helped make me feel loads better. I mean, honestly, it was almost a slow burn, but it didn't feel like it, because their feelings and their relationship progressed, and they grew closer together and fell more in love even before they kissed for the first time. It was glorious.

Now I need the third book and I'm desperately hoping it's Ari's and Marcus's...desperately.

I enjoyed the Half Baked Plan book 2 in the Love in No Man's Land series.

After Michael (Mal) and Bobby (Bear) take off travelling at the end of Textual Connections, Carter is living in the attic rooms in Michael's house. Lucas, Michael's business partner at The Perfect Blend is suddenly homeless when their building which houses the cafe and Lucas' appartment above it, burns down. Luckily he is able to move into Michael's house while it is being rebuilt by Carter and his team.

Lucas has had a big crush on Carter for a long time, but not wanting to ruin their friendship he's done nothing about it. After they start living together Carter starts to realise that maybe he has feelings for Lucas, but doesn't believe he would feel the same.

They both do their best to ignore their feelings for quite a lot of the book, Lucas even makes a list (the half baked plan) of things that annoy him about Carter in the hope this will show him he's not right for him. After a speed dating event organised by their friends they end up on a date and finally start to admit to their feelings for each other.

This was a slow burn romance between friends who become more, it was a fun, sweet read with plenty of baking and building as the two guys wake up to what and who they really want.

I enjoyed meeting up with the crew from the Crystal Queers quiz team and I'm looking forward to some more romances around these guys. I loved seeing how Michael and Bobby were going on their travels as they chatted to Lucas and Carter.

There were a few continuity issues in my ARC copy that have hopefully been sorted in the published copy.

Lucas and Carter’s story was one I was looking forward to following Textual Connections. They had chemistry and, even though it was only one-sided to start with, their sparks were undeniable.

When a fire forces Lucas to stay in Michael’s house while Michael and Bear travel together, he realizes that being roommates might help him get over the useless crush he has on his best friend, Carter. However, the plan is, as the title suggests, Half-Baked. What Lucas doesn’t count on is that all of Carter’s annoying traits and habits actually endear him further and all of the extra work Carter’s put into Lucas’ apartment being better than before the fire isn’t helping him either. What Lucas also doesn’t count on? Carter discovering that Forced Proximity does indeed make the heart grow fonder… and pants tighter. *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Is what Carter and Lucas have together strong enough to go the distance or is Lucas too afraid to believe that his long-time crush and best friend truly loves him and wants him the way he’s wanted Carter for years?

Becca Jackson’s Love in No Man’s Land series is cute, high heat, low angst and romantic enough to make me teary-eyed when her guys get their HEA.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and, as always, my review is honest and unpaid.

This is book #2 in the Love in No Man's Land Series and the first book that I have read in this series. I was able to enjoy it as a stand alone but it will make you want to read book #1 afterwards. This is also the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. It is a sweet slow burn story. This is the story of Lucas and Carter. Lucas is a baker who has lost his home, bakery and person belongings in a fire. Lucas and his business partner are rebuilding the bakery and Lucas is staying at Michael's home. In spite of anxiously awaiting for the new bakery to be completed he is supported by his many close friends. The biggest problem in his life right now, is the tiny, life long crush that he has had on his best friend Carter. Carter is a contractor and is over seeing the construction of the new bakery and cafe. He too is staying at his friend Michael's house. Along with his other friend Luca. Luca has decided that he is giving up on the wishful thinking and is going to go out and start a new relationship with anyone who isn't Carter. As Carter sees his friend trying to find his own someone special, it makes Carter see Luca in a whole new light. More than just a friend. This is their story. The two were good friends long before their deeper relationship started. Sometimes you don't see the treasure that is right in front of you until you are ready to act upon it. I enjoyed this book. It is well written and easy to read. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I received a free copy of this book from GRR and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed Carter and Lucas’s story. The first part of the story is Carter realizing that maybe he has feelings for Lucas after all, while Lucas tries to get over his crush. The second part is them dancing around telling each other how they feel, then the ending is them figuring out their way to a HEA.

Carter and Lucas are both hard-working, stand-up guys, who share a good group of supportive, and entertaining, friends. They’ve known each other for quite a while, with Lucas trying to hide his crush and Carter being oblivious to his friend’s feelings & the possibility that Lucas might be more than just a friend. But once that seed is planted, it quickly takes hold.

Readers need to be ready to hang in there for the slow burn romance between these two because they seriously take a while to get where they’re going. But it’s an easy read, with enjoyable characters, a touch of humor, and eventually a decent amount of steam. It’s pretty low angst and other than a few moments of “guys, seriously” it was a pretty enjoyable journey.

(While not necessary, it does help to have read the first book in the series. I enjoyed that one too. There were a few moments where the characters did foolish things, just like here, but they were enjoyable, and I was rooting for them to figure things out too. The novella that kicked off the series might be a good idea too but I haven’t read it yet, though it’s on my list.)

**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

The Half Baked Plan follows on from book one, Textual Connections, though it's not necessary to have read that to enjoy this. Plans and building works are underway to repair Lucas's cafe and apartment which was destroyed by fire. He's able to stay at his friend, Michael's, house but he is also having to share with their friend, Carter, the man in charge of rebuilding his home and business as well as who he may have had a teeny crush on for many years. Carter is oblivious to this but has determined that he doesn't want to be alone or have hookups, more looking for a relationship and their friend, Marcus, has the bright idea of a speed dating event.
Who knew that would bring them closer, encourage Carter to see Lucas in a different way, along with some prodding from their meddling but well meaning friends. It's definitely got a slow burn element to it as the two men dance around their attraction to each other, neither wanting to ruin their friendship and scared to take that step forward. Together, they have a great balance of sweet and hot, sharing many kisses and heated moments but also moments that mean a lot to them, including family memories and what they want for the future. Lusas's list for Carter is hilarious and I'm so glad that it brought them even closer together.
A wonderful read that has us getting to know the people of No Man's Land better and giving a heartwarming romance that gives two friends their HEA with each other.
I received an ARC and am happily giving my review.

The Half-Baked Plan is the second book in Becca Jackson's Love in No Man's Land series. This is a friends-to-lovers romance with a touch of forced proximity. Both MCs are introduced in book one, Textual Connections, so I recommend reading that first.

Lucas is a baker who lost everything in a fire. His home above the cafe was also burned to the ground. He moves into his friend/business partner's house while he's on an extended vacation. Lucas' crush, Carter, also lives in the house. Emotions run wild and things get a little blurred and messy. Lucas spends most of the book trying to get over his feelings for Carter while Carter is figuring his out for him.

Carter is a contractor. He has felt alone his whole life. He grew up in foster care until he found his forever family who adopted him at 17. He craves a partner and family of his own. After some eye-opening moments, thanks to some not-so-great speed dating, Carter realizes Lucas is everything he's ever wanted and needed. He goes out of his way to show Lucas how great they can truly be together.

This is a low angst, fluffy, happy, kind of book. It was easy to read through in just a couple of sittings but it is a rather slow-burn romance. I wanted to knock some sense into the guys several times.

I loved seeing all of their friends and all the townsfolk. I hope to see several more stories come from this series. I also hope we get to see more of Lucas and Carter pop up in future stories.

3.5* rounded up

This is the second book in this series and in my opinion a reader benefits from having read the first one as well.

The book jumps in straight where book one ended, Lucas without a bakery and appartment, his friend and business partner travelling and he is left to rebuilt his life.

Housesharing with Carter, the one he has a crush one/deep feelings for, is more difficult than he anticipated.

I like both guys, both are looking for the same things, a family, a partner, and without the other knowing are starting to fall in love with each other.

The really well written secondary characters, their friends, are there again. They definitley see what's going on and try to encourage but it looks like fate always intervenes.

It's a typical friends-to-lovers with a very slow burn. And that is the problem I have with the book, it's just too slow. The time they spent thinking how to figure out what is going on with the other and how to open up about their feelings could have easily cut in half. I actually skipped and looked how long I have until something happens before continuing reading.

I also would have loved to see more of Carter's background. It's there but only so small. His upbringing is part of the reason he wants the full package with husband and family, I would love to have had more interaction with his family.

Be prepared to get hungry, I could taste Lucas' creations while reading the book.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅 𝐁𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 is the second book in the Love in No Man's Land series by Becca Jackson which is Carter and Lucas' story.

Lucas has been crushing on Carter for as long as he can remember but Lucas has had enough pinning that he is determined to get over him. Carter starts noticing Lucas as more than a friend and is determined to make him see he would be the best boyfriend ever.

Carter and Lucas are adorable and entertaining. I loved the dance that Carter and Lucas did around each other until Carter had his "ah ha" moment and did everything he could to show Lucas how much he cared about him and tried to convince him it was more than just friendship.

I am loving this found family and can not wait for the next book in the series.

Get ready for... mm, small town, friends to lovers, roommates, close proximity, bi-awakening, unrequited love, found family, and dual first-person point of view.

“Out of the bedroom, Carter is Mr. Take Charge, the man with the plan, but in here, in my bed, he’s the one following instructions, and it’s sexy as fuck.”

Another great book in the Love in No Man’s Land series by Becca Jackson. The Half Baked Plan is a sweet story that will leave you craving not only sweets, but something spicy as well. 🤤

Highlights:
🍪friends to lovers
🍪slow burn
🍪found family vibes
🍪small town
🍪sweet and spicy

You meet Lucas and Carter in book one, where you find out Lucas is helplessly in love with Carter, his best friend. In book two, Lucas still loves Carter but is trying to get over things (obviously doesn’t work). These two finally get their act together, but talk about a slow burn. Becca had me in knots waiting for these two to kiss—don’t you worry, once the heat hits, it hits hard. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Favorite quote:
“I want you on the couch.” “Your wish is my command.” “Ohh, like a sex genie? Do I get three wishes?” “You can have infinite wishes. Tell me what you want, and I’ll move heaven and earth to give it to you.” “Right now, all I want is you.”

I love the community the author has created. These characters are hilarious and I hope each of the friends gets a book! This lovely book is out NOW!! Recommend reading book 1 first—might be lost on some details if you go straight to book 2. 😊

Book Two in Becca Jackson’s fun and flirty series of men finding love when they weren’t sure it would happen.

Lucas lost everything in a fire that destroyed his bakery and his home. Carter is on a mission to help put it to rights. Going the extra mile to make sure the rebuild, that he’s leading, is better than Lucas could dream of. More than that, he’s making every effort to ensure that Lucas saves as many of his memories and momentos as he can.

Lucas has been crushing on Carter for a while now. And his being super sweet is not helping him get over it.

Through in a ‘get over him list’, some speed dating, and a whole lot of baking, these two are having a hard time staying in the friend zone!

Another sweet and swoony addition to Becca’s No Man Land.

This is the second in a series but I read it as a standalone. If I'm honest I probably would have benefitted from reading the first book, as I was kind of thrown into the story but I followed it along just fine.

Carter and Lucas are friends who happen to share a house since Lucas' workplace and home burned down. Carter is the contractor rebuilding for him, and Lucas has harboured an unrequited crush on him for years. He creates a list of all the things Carter does that annoys him so he can get over it - of course to no avail.

I do like a good friends to lovers story, because there's a baseline there for them to build a relationship on, and I love that moment of realisation between the two. This is no different, it's a slow burn (which I also love) with mutual pining as neither realise they belong together. It's a sweet story, no angst, just little misunderstandings and I really enjoyed it as a light read. There are other stories to tell in this town, and I'd be interested in more in this world.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

As sweet as all the goodies Lucas bakes

Following on from Textual Connections, this story is about Michael's business partner, Lucas, and his long-standing crush on his friend, Carter.
Good friends. now roommates, they are good, kind men who deserve happiness and some sense knocking into them. Dreaming of a partner, a home and a family, Lucas realises he needs to get over Carter and find someone who wants to love him and settle down with him. Carter is dreaming of a partner, a home and a family and realises that he wants all that with Lucas.
Their friends to lovers romance is sweet and angst-free, with lots of baking cookies and brownies that helps to open Carter's eyes to what has been in front of him all along. I loved how caring they were to each other, thoughtful and generous.
I loved their friends watching from the sidelines. All the characters were fun to read about and this is a series that pulls you in to the little group, leaving me wanting the next pairing (yes, you, Marcus and Ari).

Oh to have someone that you want so close and yet seemingly so far from being reachable! That is what is happening to Lucas who is living in his best friend's house after a fire claimed his apartment and all of his possessions with Carter who he has crushed on for years but he does not think it will happen with Carter. So he decides to focus on all of the things that annoy him about Carter in hopes that he can convince himself to fall out of love and move on. This was so cute and crazy. Focusing on Carter's habits only makes him love Carter more - no surprise. And it was so cool to see Carter come to the realization that what and who he wants is right there in the house with him. Sometimes love really is right under your nose and you have to really look to find it waiting for you in the most obvious place. These two are too cute and I am glad they had time and proximity to help them get a clue.

Ok so I fecked up and didnt read book 1.... so the whole cafe burning down has already happened and the friendships established. So when we are dropped into this book, Ive already missed some of Lucas yearning to be with Carter.... to be honest, Im sorta glad.

We are almost half way through the story before Carter sees Lucas differently. While hes quiet jealously is sweet. Its like him and every other man in the area, hadnt seen Lucas for the sweet adorable man he is until, the fire and the speed dating event. Dont get me wrong Carter has a good reason for trust issues, but he keeos saying he wants to find a date, and hurting Lucas everytime.
Lucas is blatantly in love with Carter only he cant see it for love, he thinks its only a crush he can get over. So while he trying to find reasons to dislike Carter, these reasons pull him in more. The baking scenes were sooo cute.

That was such a sweet story, where forced proximity shows two friends that they are made for each other.

Lucas has been in love with Carter since their first meeting, but after losing everything in a fire, he decided to go onward and try to cure his feeling. Little he knew that the fire really scared Carter and made him realise that he could have lost him.
Carter is focused on rebuilding the bakery for his friend, and he’s ready to be in a relationship so why not try speed dating? But, as more time passes, he starts to pay attention to his surprise and especially to Lukas, was he always so cute, so present, so necessary in his life?

I found that book really cute, it’s a light story showing friends falling for each other and taking the time to discover each other. I’m excited to see who is coming next but I hope it will be Marcus 😉

Sweet, now I can breathe! Lucas, is bunking with Carter since Michael is traveling, while his life is being rebuilt. His business, apartment and almost his life were destroyed by fire a few weeks ago. While Lucas is ready for his forever man, he's still crushing on Carter from years past. He expects a case of familiarity breeds contempt will break his crush. They guys are happy Michael got his forever man, but it just highlights they are both still single and waiting. There are dating options, but the more they live together, the more they see each other. Will they have their aha moment? Will they speak up? Or will they just remainn friends, looking for their forever partner? Nice story, on the edge of the seat wondering if they will open their eyes. Nicely done. This was a slow-burn romance and I really enjoyed reading it. The characters were well-developed, likable, and relatable. I loved how Lucas was indomitable; he lost everything but did not let it get him down. Carter was oblivious to Lucas’s crush and just as clueless how much he cared for his friend until Lucas got injured in the fire and then spent so much time together after they both moved into Michael’s house. I enjoyed the dynamics between them and watching their romance blossom over time. It was not as steamy as I prefer my MM romance, but it was still a really good book to read. This is the second book in the Love in No Man’s Land series and while you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order, as there are some great past characters in this book.

@beccajackson must know I’m a sucker for best friends to lovers. Lucas and Carter have been friends forever and Lucas has loved him about that long. The push/pull of “I love him but don’t want to lose him so I’ll settle for friends” kills me every time!! And when Carter sees Lucas in a different light? Holy smokes!!

While Lucas makes a list to try and find the most annoying things about Carter to get over his crush, Carter is finding ways to prove he’d be a perfect boyfriend for Lucas. 🥰❤️🥰

This story hits all the right feels. It’s sweet, funny, charming, sexy, and just lovely ☺️ I’m happy to give these guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🌶️🌶️ and suggest you add it to your tbr and move it to the top of the list ✅

Lucas and Carter’s romance spans the second book in this series, and while it can stand alone, there’s groundwork laid in the first novel that I think adds to the understanding of some of the characters and the world they inhabit. Lucas’s crush on Carter is longstanding, Carter’s discovery of more-than-friendly feelings for Lucas is new, and waiting for these two to to stop ignoring their feelings and get on the same page, relationship wise, is a significant part of the story. For the most part, it’s a low intensity, low angst, highly sweet journey for likable characters who clearly deserve to be happy together, and worth reading on those terms.

BEST FRIENDS TO ROOMMATES TO LOVERS

The second book of the series gives us a deeper look into Lucas’s crush on Carter.

Carter never wanted to ruin their friendship so he kept his feelings a secret until close proximity brought them closer…

It was sweet how Carter opened his eyes to what was always in front of him and how he went about showing Lucas he is the best boyfriend material but there was always something in the way…

Speed dating , amorous suiters, bad habit lists and misconceptions are just a few roadblocks in their way but if they are meant to be they will overcome them…

Becca Jackson gives us a sweet, funny slow burn with these two characters until they combust!

I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR for an honest non biased review.

So pleased to have read this one. I already knew from Textual Connections that I loved Lucas. He's such a sweetheart. Watching him fight his feelings for Carter while also dealing with the stress of rebuilding The Perfect Blend was delightful. It was great to get to know Carter more, too. I wish we'd gotten to see more of his family, but I get that they weren't really part of the plot. As always, the Crystal Queers trivia family were a blast. I'm so intrigued by the whole group but especially Ari and Marcus--I very much look forward to reading their stories.
If you're looking for a fun romance with minimal angst, this book is for you.

I’ve been rooting for Lucas and Carter since I met them in book 1, and it was lovely to see them get together here. I loved all the baking Lucas did for Carter and all the extra work Carter did on the reno for Lucas. (They were definitely using their love languages even before they knew that was what they were doing.)

I was pretty convinced by clueless Carter figuring out he liked Lucas more than he thought, and it was clear from the very beginning just how much Lucas liked Carter (ridiculous list notwithstanding). I thought they had plausible reasons for trying not to rock the boat until everything really reached critical mass. They definitely belong together.

Lucas has lost so much and his friend Carter who Lucas has also just been happening to be crushing on for like ever offers him a place to stay and rebuild his life. Lucas appreciates everything Carter is doing for him and feels he needs to get over his crush as to not ruin their friendship. During their time of being closer together Carter realizes his feelings for Lucas are deeper than he realized. It is a very slow burn as neither of them wants to speak up and mess up the friendship. I could not stop reading until they were together! Such a romantic transition to lovers.
