Okay I really really really loved this book, but I am like utterly lost as to what Tammy is going to do!!! I went into this book thinking there is no way Alex is really dead. He HAS to be alive. Then I started accepting that he was really dead and totally fell back in love with Charlie & Scout. But the ping pong game of love those two decided to play was sooooooooo frustrating. Its an emotion that I love to feel in books, but I am like freaking out as to what she is going to do in book 3. Are her and Charlie really truly over because of everything that happened? Or will Scout get over Alex's death enough to fall back in love with Charlie? Or is Alex going to come back from the dead and reunite with Scout and if he does will I be upset about it or happy about it?!?! Most books are somewhat predictable and even when they aren't I am rarely shocked with most outcomes because there is generally plenty of foreshadowing to understand where the author was going with things (even if your mind only registers it subconsciously). But I am totally LOST!!!! Stumped. Dumbfounded. Confused.

I should have my feelings neatly filed away in the appropriate folders for who I want Scout to be with forever and ever, but I instead I feel like my GPS just broke and I am stranded on a dark highway lost and confused.

Tammy please tell me you have at least started on book 3!!!!!!!

Well, my heart still hasn't completely healed, but I've recovered enough from the loss of Alex to move on and enjoy this series. Still wish he didn't have to die, but I feel like I have some closure after reading Time Mends, along with a whole lot of new action and exciting twists to keep me very well entertained!!

Time Mends starts out with Scout still in a deep depression over losing Alex, and oh wow did I feel it right along with her. She's badly wounded from the fight, and the wounds remain unhealed and are infected. Heartbroken and barely able to move from the intense pain, Scout was just a shadow of herself. It was so hard to get through those pages, seeing her so broken down while I still sat there missing Alex along with her. He visits her in her dreams, the one place she feels happiness because he's finally with her again.

But just as I was thinking what a depressing story this was going to be, Tammy Blackwell throws in the big twist that changes everything!! Yes, Scout somehow has turned into a Shifter, too, painfully turning into a white wolf at the full moon. She's confused, alone, and scared, but our tough and spunky Scout is back and doesn't take anyone's crap when the Hagan pack tells her she has to stay off their land. Without a word to say about it, Jase, Talley, and Charlie pledge to be in Scout's pack and leave with her. Only problem is, others have claim to Seer Talley and Scout's sudden shifting is looking a lot like witchcraft to those who aren't on her side. Scout's little pack didn't stand a chance against their enemies, so I kept waiting for the bomb to drop on them at any moment. They all train to the point of bleeding, and they arm themselves, but when push comes to shove against a huge pack of wolves, the odds weren't in their favor. I loved how tough Scout was, though!! She was always pretty bad-ass, but when she became a Shifter it was all amplified!! Scout's life is threatened as others voice their discomfort with her sudden ability, and there are so many twists that leave you trying to figure out who the biggest threat is of all of them. She handles it all in stride, though, and I loved her all the more for it!

I was relieved that Blackwell was able to soften the hurt from the loss of Alex, because I wasn't sure how I'd get over him being out of the story. His visits with Scout were so sweet and at the same time sad, but I loved that he was still kind of there with her helping her through the transition. I teared up at one point, but I think this was a good way to ease the readers into the next phase of Scout's journey. Her relationship with Charlie was just as sad, but as the title suggests, life-long friends like them eventually mend the wounds as time goes on.

The mysterious gray wolf that Scout kept sensing and seeing made me excited for Liam's return; there's just something about him that I always found intriguing, so the anticipation was killing me!! Blackwell makes you wait, and wait, and wait, not throwing the reader a bone until the last minute, but I'm very excited to see where things go with Fate Succumbs!! And I'm even more excited that it's already out so I don't have to wait!!

The second installment in Tammy Blackwell’s Timber Wolves trilogy is one word: stunning. I didn’t think it possible to love Time Mends even more than Destiny Binds, but add action, political intrigue and mounds of suspense to the witty dialogue and loveable characters and you’ve got a sure fire winner on your hands.

Time Mends sweeps the reader up into the story just after the shocking events at the end of book one (I’m giving no Alex spoilers away… you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens there :-p). I think my favourite thing about book two is Scout’s character development. She works through her heartbreak and all the unbelievable discoveries she encounters about herself and the shifter world and matures and changes without losing that innate, sarky, quirky Scout that made her so likeable in book one. Now she’s even stronger, more vulnerable but determined not to be, more determined to be determined, and as loyal as ever. The relationships between the magical foursome that is Scout, Charlie, Talley and Jase strengthens in Time Mends and by the end of book two my emotions had been so pressed and pretzeled by them my mouth was left hanging open with another NOOOOOOOO! Where is book three?!! I need it NOW!
The characterization may have been my favourite thing about the Timber Wolves trilogy but the plot and worldbuilding have shot into equal position with Time Mends. It’s action-packed, fast-paced, entertaining, addictive and completely intriguing. I was kept guessing throughout the entire book by the many twists and turns and I still have loads of questions. Love it! In fact I loved everything about this book.
Awesome! A rare treat that book two should be even better than the first!
A definite, must read,

Cannot wait for book 3!

Holy crap on a stick! What am i suppose to say after a cliff hanger like that?!

I'm pretty sure i want to jump around fist punching the air and cry in equal turns. I was scared to open Time Mends for that one reason, i knew it was the be all or end all for me with this series.

i loved every thing about destiny binds...and then Alex died and i cried right along with scout.

"how can i read the next book now?" i asked myself. with no Alex it just didn't feel worth it and if Tammy did something dangerously YA like brought him straight back from the dead in the corny way YA Authors do then i was going to rip my hair out! At the same time i have to say i was distraught that Alex died. i mean how unfair is that! to kill off a stunningly hot and funny lead male! it kind of felt like a betrayal.

But I couldn't resist (which was probably what Tammy wanted)so i picked up Time Mends and then once again i was blown away. the world Tammy has created is just so real that i fall easily from the real into imaginary, its almost scary.

I miss Alex, but the whispers that are given of him, while short, push me to read for more. I loved how everything was turning out, the hints of deeper meaning just resting beneath the surface. And then BAM! another twist so big you know nothing is going to be the same!!!!!!

That cliff hanger though, man, it was golden. it guaranteed that i would be picking up the next book. I suggest if anybody is reading my review and thinking 'god this chick is annoying, give me something i can go on' listen to me when i say, buy this book. Dont skip any pages, dont leap frog to the back and read the last page because you cant wait till the end to know where this goes.
JUST DONT!
Take your hand away from the back page and slap yourself in the face for good measure, its not worth losing the whole impact of this book. this is the reason there is hardly any spoilers in this review really this is just praise for Tammy and my feeling on her books.

Purely amazing!

I'll forgive you Tammy for killing Alex as long as you promise to make the third book as awe inspiring as the others!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!! What the hell is going on here!! I am seriously stunned and shocked and left with more unanswered questions then I was at the ending of Destiny Binds. AND I LOVE IT!! Tammy Blackwell really knows how to keep readers intrigued and is unafraid to push the buttons and just when you think you've got things all figured out...BOOM she just throws something in and changes it up. I am so impressed by her story telling and eagerness to keep you guessing.

Destiny Binds killed me with such sadness and I cried so hard I thought I would never be able to start Time Mends. But with a heavy heart that ached along with Scout I found myself crying again reading about how Scout dealt with the pain and loss over losing Alex *sighs* and what had become of her. Thinking she has gone mad and dreaming about Alex every night, Scout eventually gets on with life and soldiers on. Not only is she shocked to realise that she in fact is a shifter, and a white wolf at that, but she still is the sassy, smart mouthed, smart arse, bad ass girl who stands up for herself and everyone else without hesitation. This of course gets her in big trouble. In fact the biggest trouble of her life. First of all she is kicked out of her pack and before she leaves, her step-brother Jase, her best friend Talley and Charlie (the friend who has been in love with her all her life) swear allegiance to her. Unaware, Scout just formed her own pack and was chosen as the leader, a title she would have gladly given up if she knew what was coming ahead. Secondly, being Scout and unafraid of mouthing off, she stirred the pot, causing mayhem and attracting the attention of the Alpha Pack. But little did she know that it wasn't the reason why they sought her out. She was betrayed by someone close to her and accused of being a witch. This was the only reason why they thought her capable of shifting and having power.

Cut to the ending. OH GOOD LORD HELP ME I am tearing up again and wondering what it GOD'S name is next. Oh Charlie, what has become of you (I seriously was crushing on him in this book)! And Jase, I cannot believe what he did!! IT CANNOT BE!! And Talley, where does this leave her? So many questions already needing to be answered and then BAM the grey wolf comes out at the end and just when I THINK IT'S ALEX in fact it's his older brother LIAM but I have a inkling that ALEX is not gone...HE CAN'T BE after what he told Scout in her last dream....INHALE, EXHALE, INHALE, EXHALE....LOL Ok I've vented all I needed to and I will leave you with this...TAMMY BLACKWELL ROCKS!! Trust me peoples you will not be disappointed in this series!! AMAZING!!

Not a good story.

I loved the first book “Destiny Binds” - a lot of witty comments. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of the cliffhanger ending. This is the sequel. It’s boring. It’s like the author was forced to write something but didn’t have anything to write about. The main character is Scout. The shifter community is going to execute her for a crime that didn’t make sense. The evidence didn’t make sense. They accuse her of being a witch, but the witch part of the story was not developed. I won’t say more so I don’t give away spoilers. I also did not like book 3 “Fate Succumbs.”

There is no interesting relationship development here. No love interest. This book does not add to the story or give a completion to the cliffhanger ending from book 1. At the end of this book, the reader is still in the dark yet hopeful about the huge unanswered question from the end of book 1.

I don't want to bring myself to saying anything nice since my feelings are still hurting from Destiny Binds. (Hmph)However I am and then I'm going to cry like a little baby over Alex and all these characters I love so much.

This book was good action packed Scout is Kick ass. I mean she actually kicks ass in the book I Love It!

~Here comes an Alex rant~

Besides the KICKASSNESS I was so damn heartbroken, most was due to losing my favorite of all characters. But then to have to sit through Scouts dreams just made it worse. This shit is so confusing is he gone is he alive I mean WTF Dude. I however I did figured the "grey wolf" was older brother. I was just holding on to Alex. Damn you Tammy for making him so freaking hot and lovable and then taken him from ME! Grrr

Then that ending I mean GAH! Now the next hot possible love interest is going to die. Tammy lives to see me suffer I know it.

Ok I'll be serious now... I need Fate Succumbs like last week. Fall is just entirely too long a ways to go.

Wow! That was quite the ride! I love this series and can't wait for the next and final book, Fate Succumbs. It had everything I look for in a 5-star book:

1. Likeable characters.
2. A dash of humor. Bonus: It even had pop culture references. I just have to love any book that references Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
3. I thought about the characters and even worried about them when I wasn't reading. It was very hard to put down.
4. Surprises and twists. There were a few that I saw coming, but for the most part I had no idea where it was all going, and I love that.

Since this is the second book of a trilogy, there was a pretty hefty cliffhanger at the end of this one. Fate Succumbs isn't set to come out until Fall 2012. Aaargh! The wait will be so long... My advice is to wait until you can get all three and then read them back to back.

My goodness how I love Tammy Blackwell! I love her characters, I love the dialogue, and I love the balance of romance and action she weaves into her stories. Just as solid as the Destiny Binds so, if you haven't already, check this one out. Blackwell is one of my favorite new author finds of 2011/2012. Thank you for the wonderful series!

4.5 stars rounded up, but should be/could be a 5+.

Where to start. I absolutely loved this book! This was such a great sequel to Destiny Binds. I loved being reacquainted with the foursome plus one of Scout, Jase, Charlie and Tallie, and even the parts that gave us Alex (which was extremely well done IMHO). I laughed and cried a lot while reading this book and though I kind of had a sense where the story was going, I was still completely enthralled by the book and we were given enough compelling dialogue and twists to make it interesting. It is too difficult to summarize this book without giving away what happens after the big attack at the end of Destiny Binds, so I'm not going to do that. I'll say this though. Scout does does not disappoint with her sharp and sarcastic wit (it's better than ever), and so fun to read! She is still vulnerable and insecure like any teen, but still so strong and brave. Jase is still Jase, shiny and self-absorbed, but also humble and fiercely protective. However, we're left with some question marks where he's concerned by the end of the book. Charlie is still the self-less amazing guy we were introduced to in Book 1 and its clear why Scout, and everyone who knows him, loves him so. His banter with Scout and his ability to keep up with her is priceless. And Talley, is much the same, smart, responsible, altruistic and loyal to a fault. She grows tremendously as a character given everything that happens to her. I can't even tell you where the story goes with Alex, but it's truly a gift. If you read Destiny Binds, this is a must read book. Even if you didn't, if you love YA Paranormal Romance, Shifters in particular, you will love this series. You really need to read book 1 first though to get the full impact of the story and enjoy this book.

Why it wasn't a full 5 stars for me. One, there really were a ton of editing mistakes in the Kindle version, which I read. While it didn't take any value away from the story for me, I know a lot of people feel differently, and like to know that when evaluating books. Two, I felt there were some slightly modified but borrowed ideas from other books, and that did take a little value away for me. I believe Ms. Blackwell has enough talent and creativity to incorporate only original ideas in her stories. Nonetheless, these two criticisms aside, this is well worth the read.

One last thought - there was a big, but good cliffhanger at the end. As mentioned I saw it coming, but still loved it when it came and am itching to read what comes next.

This is the second in the Timber Wolves Trilogy and picks up after the horrific change Scout and her stepbrother, best friend Talley, and step-cousin Charles went through at the end of the last book. I don't recommend reading it without having read the first in the series.

Scout literally has to put her life back together. What happened to her boyfriend, Alex, in the last book has changed all her relationships. On top of that, she's having to deal with massive physical changes and a entre into a world she knows little about: not history or rules or traditions.

No wonder she keeps making blunders that affect the people she loves most. While Scout keeps seeing Alex in her dreams, she must reforge relationships with Jase and Charles, and figure out what her new status means.

When the Alpha Pack comes from Romania, Scout is betrayed by those she felt close to, and accused of mortal crimes. Can her friends save her? What of the mysterious, grey-eyed wolf that she keeps glimpsing in the woods?

The fun continues in the second book. The same snarky banter, pop references, and competent fight sequences are in this second book. Scout continues to be an interesting voice to follow, and getting to see new sides of Talley and Charles flesh them out further as real characters.

This one, like the first, is more of a 4.5 stars, but I went with the four star designation because I wasn't entirely convinced by some of the plot developments; notably Scout being banished from Hagan territory and the accusations leveled at her by the Alpha Pack. They seemed so arbitrary and out of left field, when all I wanted was to read more scenes with Alex (despite his role as exposition-man) and how Scout learns to live with her own guilt and Charles.

(Also, the formatting weirdness that causes words to smoosh together on every other page got annoying.)

But the author hardly needed the cliffhanger at the end of this book to keep me along for Scout's ride. I need to find out what Alex is to her, what the meaning of the wolf puppies that haunt her dream-lake are, and what Scout's destiny ultimately is. And besides, these characters are fun to be around.

This Book's Snack Rating: BBQ kettle chips because although I tire of the BBQ flavor of the plot, I still love the sturdy, salty crunch of the main characters

SHOCKERS, DRAMA, and a MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER! OH MY!

I just finished Time Mends by Tammy Blackwell, and now I am dying to read the third and final book in the trilogy, Fate Succumbs. Honestly, I enjoyed Time Mends slightly more than its predecessor Destiny Binds, and I have a feeling that Fate Succumbs is going to be even better than Time Mends. Hopefully, Fate Succumbs will have all of answers to my growing list of questions (one big one in particular).

Destiny Binds left readers shocked and grieving over Alex; Time Mends picks up where Destiny Binds left off. In the wake of a tragedy, Scout has to fight through her heartache and adapt to some surprising changes. Scout, Charlie, and Jase have to reestablish and repair the relationships that were destroyed in Destiny Binds so they can overcome the new challenges they face in this novel. Time Mends is aptly named; this stunning novel is about the characters journey to find forgiveness and redemption.

Tammy Blackwell is an extremely talented author. I LOVE her suspenseful, passionate stories and her drive-me-crazy-cliffhangers, but it is her PHENOMENAL, ONE-OF-A-KIND characters that really set her apart from other authors. Her characters are extremely well written, well developed, and LIVELY. Her characters witty banter is comical. Scout, the main character, is my absolute favorite! Her sarcastic, witty personality is freaking hilarious!! In this novel, Scout goes through some really crappy stuff, but she never loses her personality or her spirit. I absolutely love that about her. I also really like Talley, Scout’s best friend. She has her own quirky, loveable personality. Talley’s the ying to Scout’s yang; they balance each other out.

I gave Time Mends by Tammy Blackwell 4 STARS. I strongly recommend this novel and this series. If you enjoy paranormal romance novels then you don't want to miss this one!

"Time Mends" was a much better read than the first book in the Timber Wolves Trilogy. The plot flowed more smoothly and there was less distractive scenes.

Initially, Scout is awakening and attempting to recover from her attack in the forest and the death of her love, Alex by the hands of non other than her brother and childhood friend, Charlie. She is heartbroken, betrayed and angry. She wants nothing to do with either Charlie or Jase. However, the lover of her little sister, Angel is too much to ignore and she finds solice in her arms.

While recovering, Scout attends her graduation and is valedictorim of her class. She is happiest when she sleeps where she interacts with Alex. He is her spirit guide of sorts and will play an instrumental role in her future.

During the full moon, something toatlly unheard of occurs, Scout turns into a were shifter. No one can believe it and before she knows it she is call on the carpet by the pack Alpha. Rather than deal with the situation effectively, he bans her to a territory of her own. Little does he know but Jase, Charlie and Talley defect and go along with her. This will have a wide reaching effect that will lead to unkown dangers and perils.

I enjoyed Scout's snarky dialogue, growth in character and commitment to her friends and family. Although this book was much better than the first it did include scenes that were boring and unnecessary. For example, the scene where Scout goes to a bar was just plain filler. It did not add anything to the plot nor was it very interesting. I found myself saying, "Why was this even here?" Do not under any circumstance keep this one comment stop you from reading this series. It is really good and I cannot wait to read the conclusion.

I’ve learned 2 things about Blackwell since beginning the Timber Wolves series: one, she doesn’t joke around. Two, she loves cliffhangers, cruelly so. And three (I know I can’t count), she can play my heartstrings like a violin.

Holy crapballs but Alex is dead!! Like bona fide, Blackwell wasn’t just messing with us, but in-the-ground-dead. Call it a delayed reaction, memory suppression or selective memory, but it took me an embarrassingly long time to come to realise this. And when I did? I cried. And when I read this quote (only mildly spoilery):

That’s about the point I turned into an emotional basket case. Turns out I really dug Alex : (

The book itself? I dug that too. Not a great deal happens, well, apart from a couple of huge revelations and people almost dying/getting kidnapped, but it was a rush. A heart-gripping, emotion-filled adrenalin rush which ended up with me finishing this is less than 24 hours.

It is impossible not to get attached to these characters. My heart broke over and over again for Scout, I grieved with Scout over Alex and Charlie and Jase, and then I grieved with Charlie over everything that’s happened between him and Scout. But Time Mends wasn’t all sobbing and black clothing and being too depressed to get out of bed, Scout’s trademark sarcasm is still there; there’s still a ton of banter and witty comments and there is fighting and mysteries, and threats, and romance.

And I'm going end my review right there so you can start reading this and I can start reading book 3.

I am not sure where to begin with this book. It has taken a TOTAL twist and has gone somewhere that I never anticipated. This book left me wondering where in the world Ms. Blackwell can go from here! I am quite sure that she will give us a very satisfying end to the story, but, HOW?????????

Scout's a wolf, Alex is dead, Charlie is different, Jase is a traitor, Talley is alone and Scout has to depend on Liam, of all people, for her survival. Scout's world is pretty much the opposite of happy. Heck, at this point, I'd say it's the opposite of even being manageable. EVERYTHING is upside down.

I spent the whole book waiting for Alex to come back. Because at the end of Book 1, I KNEW he wasn't really dead. In fact, it's the only way I could sleep at night. But, about 3/4's of the way into the book (denial much?????), I began to accept that he's really, truly, dead. Not only is Alex really dead, but, the other boy Scout loves killed him and their relationship will NEVER be the same. Scout's heartbroken...I'm heartbroken.

I trust Ms. Blackwell enough to say with the utmost certainty (utmost certainty may be overstating it, given that I have my fingers and toes crossed while typing this) that Scout's story will have a happy ending. I'm not saying it will be a 'rainbow and butterflies' kind of ending, but, I am confident that it will all work out somehow. But, the suspense is killing me.

I guess that's probably the point, huh?

I was so torn throughout Destiny Binds. I loved Alex and Charlie and didn’t know how Scout could choose between them. I had a feeling that after the end of the first book that Time Mends would explore the other side of the coin. Even given how things went down. I was both sad and pleasantly surprised that the situation I envisioned wasn’t even a possibility. While I had loved the idea in book one, it no longer felt right in book two. (Wow could I be any more vague? Lol)

I was blown away by book two. I never saw any of it coming and enjoyed every minute of the continued roller coaster ride. While book one dealt with growing up and falling in love, book two showed Scout’s continued growth and also her dealing with an absolutely crazy change in her world.

When I finished Time Mends, I was actually glad that I had sat on the first two books for months. I would have had a difficult time dealing with life if I had had to wait to read the final book in the series.

And once again I was not disappointed by the witty banter and pop culture references. I freaking love Tammy Blackwell’s writing style. One of my favorite interactions in this book:

“How are you feeling?" Charlie asked, adding a small bottle of V-8 juice to the bedside table.
"Like I just sat through an entire Justin Bieber concert."
"Headache and nausea?
"And an overwhelming desire to die.”

Personal Note to Reader: I lost my dog 4 days ago very unexpectedly... He was only 6 years old :'( The first few chapters were emotionally hard to get through given the subject. I know a dog isn't a person, but the gaping hole in my chest doesn't know the difference. If you've recently lost someone, be it a person or animal member of the family, have the tissues ready!

That being said... Oh my gosh... What is with the endings of these books? When pray tell will the third book be released because I need it now!! Again I was left with an ending that has me wanting more and yet again I have so many questions... Darn it, I wish patience was a vertue I possessed!

All that being said, I loved this book. As much as the first? I don't know... Every time I thought the story would go in a certain direction, it seemed to run the other way. Scout did seem to grow a lot in this book and I liked that she was able to start looking to the future rather than living in the past. I have so many questions regarding Alex, Liam, Talley, Jase and Charlie. I want to say more but I don't want to spoil the story for anyone.

I guess I will have to learn to be patient and wait for the third book. Very good series so far, highly recommended!

The end of this book has made me bereft! What about Alex, Charlie, Jase, Talley and Liam? How can this end well? What was Jase up to? What did the Seer's see when they touched Scout and why wouldn't they tell their queen? Who is Lilith? I can't possibly be expected to wait for the next book right?

The middle, however, was not short on chuckles (and I am not someone who hands out chuckles lightly).

Some of my favorite quotes:

" 'What is it with girls and vampires?' Charlie asked, trying to smile. 'They're pretty and they sparkle in the sun, just like unicorns.' "

"If the White Witch offers you Turkish Delights, tell her to shove off."

"And you would not Shift into a fox, not in a box, not wearing sock?"

"Ashley smiled sweetly and patted my back where her hand was resting. 'Of course not, sweetie. You're always sunshine and rainbows.' I was going to sunshine and rainbows her face if she didn't watch it."

There were more things that made me laugh despite the overall sad or dire mood of the whole book. Ok, that is all I have to say, there are plenty of better reviews to read for more information on a summary (which is impossible by the way without giving away all the secrets of this book).

Destiny Binds was an exhilarating supernatural love story that left readers in despair. The loss of Alex was a paramount moment that left readers questioning the future of the Timber Wolves series. Book Two, Time Mends is a mixture of redemption and survival that will transform the series. Blackwell slowly progresses this novel allowing the necessary time for grief and growth following the tragic conclusion of the first novel. Rest assured that this progression is steady and soon readers will find themselves overcoming their own loss to embrace the future for the survivors. As Scout finds herself delving more and more into the world of Coyotes and Wolves; she find the world to be much larger than she had anticipated. As her knowledge grows; she becomes more than an observer in this very dangerous world. This second novel is brilliant display of talent from this new author. With each novel Blackwell promises to be a new sensation that readers will crave. I can not wait to see what lies ahead with the release of Fate Succumbs. This is a BOOKWHISPERER RECOMMENDED READ!!

Time mends was even better than Destiny Binds, once I saw that it was published I had to vae it in my kindle, and well I just devoured the whole book in a couple of hours. It was that good!

I just love Scout! She's the best with all her sarcasm, she's just all the fun in the book!

Ohhh Alex, how I missed him, and I just felt like Scout, believing that he's still there with her.

The second book starts just where the first one left, and we see how Scout is recovering from the accident, while Jase and Charlie are trying to apologize with her...it was so hard to read Charlie suffering from what he did, that it just made him even more swoon worthy!

What I like the most about this shifter story is that it's different grom everything I've read, it just captivated me, with the fun and drama altogether.

Miss Tammy sure knows how to write, and I've become a fan of her incredible writing...and now all I have to do is wait for the next book...and I can honestly say that I can't wait to see how this amazon story will end.

Once again, I thought I didn't remember anything about this book until I started reading and was like, "wait...doesn't she

This book was definitely better than the first; it expanded the world of the shifters so much more. I would have loved to see/learn more about the young Seers in the Alpha Pack, though.

"How are you feeling?"
"Like I just sat through an entire Justin Bieber concert."
"Headache and Nausea?"
"And an overwhelming desire to die."

This was almost perfect.
Witty, sassy, strong, badass protagonist with her badass.... trying to save their world. And themselves.
I enjoyed it soo very much. (With a goofy smile plastered on my face)

A great sequel to Destiny Binds, but it suffered a tiny bit from middle book syndrome. The story moved quickly and was interesting but I kept feeling like it was a setup to a third book conclusion rather than it's own thing.

I loved reading this continuation to the Timber Wolves series. So in this book, Scout is still totally heardbroken from the tragedy in the 1st book (not specifying for those who have not read). She dreams of Alex constantly and talks to him, they hang out and all; she isn't sure if the "dream Alex" is real or not, but doesn't care as long as they're together in some way. When the first full moon after the 'incident' tragedy comes around, she starts going through a very painfull 'Change'....into a Wolf. Her 'wolf' instincts kick in and she goes hunting. All is very new to her; every sense hightened, and she likes it, until she changes back and realizes what happened and what she ate... lol. Her relationship with Jase is still on the rocks, and Charlie isn't talking to her much, to not-at-all. Since she is now a 'shifter' like the rest of them, she has to be brought to the Pack leader of which Charlie & Jase are a part of. Pack leader Toby makes the decision to sort of "kick her out" of the pack, since she isn't a Coyote shifter like the rest of them, but an actual 'Wolf' shifter, and gives her her own 'land of property" in which she can roam but not be close to their pack. Charlie, Jase & Talley decide to vow to go with her, basically 'quitting' allegiance to their pack, and vowing allegiance to Scout. Meanwhile, the relationship between Jase, Charlie & her starts to mend little by little. She even has a passionate kiss with Charlie one night at a dance club, and though she has strong feeling for Charlie, with what happened in the incident and everything, she kinda feels guilty or like she's cheating on Alex; specially when she keeps seeing a 'gray wolf' around at times, at night when she is on the hunt while in 'Scout Wolf' form, thinking it's Alex.

While she is in total shock that her friends would vow to be in her 'pack', she is kinda glad to not be alone in this. However things start taking other turns when the elder Alpha leader find out about her; since she has no 'shifter' blood in her, they think she is a witch, and comes after her to bring up to the others for a trial. Once again, Charlie, Jase & Talley refuse to leave her side. IF she is found guilty, the sentence is death; and Scout thinks that maybe it would help matters if she was 'sentenced'. After being held captive for two weeks, awaiting the day of 'judgement' on her, the decision is made that she should be 'punished', meaning 'death'. In the end right before the 'deed' is done, Charlie comes to her rescue & starts a fight with the others so she has time to run away....and she does. She runs away to a place Talley had given her images of with their mind communication, and... a 'gray wolf' appears out of nowhere and goes with her.

Now, the ending was kinda shocking for me, to find out who the 'gray wolf' is. I won't say who, I'll leave you all to find out for yourselves!. I CANT WAIT 'TIL THE NEXT ONE!! =)

After the heartbreaking ending of Destiny Binds, we find Scout mourning the loss of Alex and recovering from her injuries. When she thinks things can’t get worse, she realizes that she is more apart of the Shifter world than she previously thought. Scout, Charlie, Jase, and Tally find themselves in more trouble than they could have imagined.

Good
- I cannot say it enough. Scout is a badass. She’s hilarious, sarcastic, and genuinely cares about people. This pretty much sums up why I think I would be friends with Scout:
I’ve never been a runner by nature. My general philosophy was, why run if you’re not being chased?”
Ahh. A girl after my own heart.
- This book made me both laugh out loud and cry (on separate occasions of course). The characters were funny and Blackwell made me care so deeply for the characters that my heart broke when theirs broke.
- The book gives you a really good understanding of the Shifter world and their politics.

Bad
.. Okay I’m not kidding. I’ve been trying to come up with something that I disliked about this book and I can’t think of anything. I know nothing is perfect but I really can’t come up with anything!

I love love love love this series! I finished the first one yesterday and found myself worrying about the characters all day. I had to finish another book to review before I let myself pick this one up but I definitely could not wait to find out what happened. I rate this book 5 stars but I'd rate it higher if I could.

And now for my rant

Anyways, September 11, 2012 better come soon because I need to know what happens!

An absolutely fantastic series. Great characters, great plot, great romance and werewolves, always a plus for me.

Scout is an awesome mc. I loved her after just a few pages, and she just got better throughout the book, her character grew so much. She looks odd. She has white, white blonde hair, extremely pale skin and eyes the colour of ice chips, which gets her a lot of negative attention. But this doesn't bother her, she takes it all in her stride and gets on with it. She's snarky and sarcastic and really fun to read. She's a black belt in karate and can fight as well as any of the guys.

Jase, Scout's stepbrother, who she's known since she was about three weeks old and is really close to, is quite the intriguing character. Charlie his cousin, who Scout has been in love with for as long as she can remember, I liked, then didn't like, then pretty much liked again. Kind of how Scout's feelings went too. And then there's Tally, Scout's best friend. They're like the four musketeers, spending practically all their time together. Charlie and Jase are really overprotective of Scout. But when Alex and his brother Liam arrive in town, events are set in motion which will completely change Scout's life.

The romance in these books is excellently done. There's no love triangle, but yet it's not just your average run of the mill romance either. I have to say it worked very well for me, and while there were a few tears shed, I really liked how everything worked out in the end.

So much happens in the course of these three books and I didn't want to put them down. The type of books that when you're not reading them, you're constantly thinking about them, and when you're asleep, you're dreaming of them. I'm quite sad to have finished. Thankfully, there's another series set in this world, about Charlie, that I plan on moving onto next. And these will definitely be on my re-read list. And I need to have the hard copies for my shelf.

If you like werewolf/shifter books, and maybe even if you don't, you have to pick up this series.

The trilogy is on sale until the 1st January so you can pick it up now for $2.50. It's a steal!

Naozaj neviem, čo by som Time Mends mohla vyčítať.

This book? Totally made of awesome and win. I am so totally in love with this series it's crazy. I had a feeling that wolf would be who he turned out to be. I still hate what happened to Alex. But two major developments I was so not expecting.

Scout's new state as a Pack Leader totally came as a surprise. Not to mention that all of the trouble that came with it. I was glad sh was able to make up with Jase and Charlie as difficult as that was for all of them. But then came that accusation that got her put on "trial." I can't believe Talley's mom!

And what is up with Jase and that conversation he had with the queen? Does he have some crazy plan or would he really abandon Scout? Surely he isn't that angry about the whole mate thing? I really hope Scout's Spirit Guide is right on that account and things aren't always what they seem. I really hope Scout's new ally has some answers about what's going on because poor Scout never knows what's going on, but she keeps getting thrown in the deep end of the pool.

I'm going to die waiting for the last book to come out in like 6 months or more. I'm pretty sure another character just got killed off. And this won't all be solved until Scout has some ultimate showdown against that bitchy queen. And what about those other Seer chicks? They obviously Saw something when they touched Scout. They know just how strong Talley is, too, but they seemed to be with her on Talley not revealing just how strong a Seer she is. Dammit! I want to know what's going on just as badly as Scout does.
