This book was an amazing reminder of what God can do when we give Him our broken lives and shattered dreams. Shed a few tears as I read this book - a tremendous reminder that even when we don't know the details - God is at work answering our prayers, even if they are just desperate pleas. I highly recommend this book if you are ever wondering ''did He hear me?" .... "does He care about me and the mess I've made?" He is a God that rescues us and at the same time can rescue others through us, through our prayers. A timely read for me as I struggle with some challenges that are ongoing and often cause me to say "Hello God? Are you there?" And at the same time, a gripping, can't put down, storyline of 'what's going to happen next?'. Highly recommend this book if you're wondering how God is working in this messy world of brokenness.

This book nails to the wall the importance of praying. What if we actually took God’s power seriously? What if we actually believed God can do what he says he can do? This book takes you into a view of life where what we THINK matters actually means nothing and what truly matters is worth giving our all for.

The Christian fiction genre is flooded with sappy novels full of poor theology. This book rises above all of that to dig deep into the common fallacy of being able to work your way out of sin or work your way into God's favor. It is about God working in the lives of regular people.
I really enjoyed this novel and find it amazing for being the author's first novel. I hope he writes another one!
