Rate this book
Imagine being able to handle any situation with ease. Arguing that our habits undermine our ability to rise to new challenges, this self-help guide demonstrates how a change in behavior can lead individuals to feel happier, less stressed, and more in control. Written by highly respected psychologists, the book takes a broad approach, allowing the flex technique to be applied to a variety of problems, including stress, alcoholism, addiction to smoking, and weight issues. Proposing a simple habit-breaking method, this guide is sure to interest anyone who wishes to get out of a behavioral rut.

If you are fox, try to be a dog. If you are dog try to be a cat. If you are a cat try to be an elephant. If you are an elephant try to be a fox. Basic premise is good - don't get boxed in, don't be the category or merchandise - be the application and adaptable up or down.

I enjoyed this book. The main point that I took out of it was that we all go through life on autopilot. Just becasue we do something the same way each time doesn't mean it's the right way. Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone. By doing everyday things differently, you expand your horizons, open up your mind to bigger possibilies, you will grow - not stagnate. That's a really good message.

Unfortunately, the most interesting thing about this book is it's cover. Very vague explanation of concepts throughout.

I get the message behind this book. But I think it tries to connect and conflate too many things. Some of which are too remote..
