Wow. I've seen the German miniseries based on this book a couple of times but the book is so much better there's no comparison! I loved Rebecca's metamorphosis from naive girl to independent, strong businesswoman with an acquired taste for revenge, I loved how she slowly built and engineered her enemies' demise, and how despite everything that happened to her she always found the strength to get back on her feet again and again. Definitely a keeper. I can't believe this book is older than I am and I only read it this summer!

I really enjoyed this book. I was skeptical at first; the written description on the flap was rather cheesy. I’m glad I plodded through, though. There were times where my jaw hit the floor, and times where I felt so bad for the protagonist that I almost didn’t want to keep reading. However, I was captivated by the tale and had to. Great read, but admittedly required taste.

buku ni lumayan berat ceritanya
buku ini bercerita tentang perjuangan seorang gadis yang memperjuangkan pa yang seharusnya dimilikinya yang diambil oleh musuh ayahnya.
perjuangannya harus mengorbankan orang2 yang disayanginya. penuh dengan penderitaan, harus dikhianati oleh orang yang disayangi.
perjuangannya dimulai dari kerja di biro pariwisata, membuka hotel2 di pulau2 pedalaman Angelina hingga membuka kembali pertambangan emas ayahnya dan membiayai pencarian kebudayaan suku Maya
buku ini juga bercerita tentang kepulauan2 di Angelina dan Jamaika.

si rebecca ini anak juragan pemilik pertambangan emas, mirip kan ma ratu berlian? beda jenis tambang aja keknya..
bapaknya banyak musuh, tapi si rebecca aman nyaman terlindungi, sampai bapaknya meninggal, terbunuh, dunianya hancur berantakan

intriknya berlapis, di belakang si a ada si b, di belakangnya ada si c, eeeh ternyata masih ada si d di belakang c.. selesai? gak, karena di belakang si d masih ada e f g #ngusapkeringet

Ni buku setipe-lah sama buku-bukunya Sidney Sheldon ato Ken Follett. Seruuuu gak ada habisnya, tegaaaang gak ada hentinya juga, bikin eneg perut juga saking banyaknya pengkhianatan/perselingkuhan yang menimpa si tokoh utama, Rebecca McHenry.

Tapiiii...sebenarnya capek banget ngikutin buku ini. Jegal menjegal gak ada selesainya. Apalagi pria-pria yang berturut-turut mencintai Rebecca dengan tulus, nasibnya malah berakhir tragis. Gak trimaaaa bacanya! Dallaaaaas...Anthonyyyyyyy.......

This book is the best I've ever read. It is sad all the bad things that happened to Rebbeca but she is such a bad ass character, she gets through the worst things in life and still gets the chance to get her revenge and never gives up. I deeply recomend this awesome book.

its a good book.. the amount of struggle rebecca faces and the way she never gives up is what i liked the most... rather than being a pessimist, she fought back ..

This is definitely a wonderful book to read. It contains at least 4 plot twist that made me grasp my breath because they were so unexpected, but so cool. I finished it in 3 days.
